2023-03-25 11:31:46 Starting with Kiyoshi makes you feel so optimistic and positive. He really is a walking motivational poster! For the song order, as far as I'm aware, several of the CDs were released for the birthdays of the characters. And I'm pretty sure Trukk organised it by chronological order for the different volumes. Trukk and I truly have no idea why these songs by Himuro and Hanamiya's got copyrighted so hard because others by Himuro are fine. It's so weird. And the copyright claim was the same as some of the songs I did but the copyright for mine said that the owner gave permission for it to be used on YT. YT's algorithm with copyright is really all over the place. I do *love* Taniyama Kishou's voice, but especially his singing voice 🥰 Himuro's second monologue really being like: "Well I've got a boyfriend too and he's better than yours!" Definite Hanson vibes with that second solo song from Himuro!!! (And thankfully there are more songs to listen to or MMMBop might have got stuck in my head 😅) With all the character songs they could easily do a Kuroko Musical. Could definitely see an introduction to Himuro being him going through Yosen singing his second song. Your surmising of Hanamiya's songs just made me think of Oscar the Grouch from The Muppets 🤣 That first monologue from Hanamiya gives me theatre-kid vibes/villain from a 90s action movie. The style of his songs definitely make me think of a mix between Evanescence and Nightwish; though *not* the lyrics 😂 That first song is basically just sh*t talking Kiyoshi's entire character! "I thought we were getting some deep insight" 🤣🤣🤣 He trolled you so hard with that one! Yup, a basketball anime has a character song that makes me think of the vibe of Killing Stalking 😅 Murasakibara is *definitely* a Valley Girl! Suzumura Kenichi is a pretty great singer and does voice a character in one of my favourite idol anime, UtaPri (which Taniyama Kishou is also in and blows my mind even more with his versatility). But like with his voice acting skills Suzumura has quite the range for singing. He's definitely one of the most versatile seiyuu I know, though he isn't the most consistent in some cases. Romania: I want him to do a funny song. Me: Think the next one might qualify for that 😂 Lazy Lazy is a cute song but also kind of a mood! 😆 But a rap style fits his voice so well. Murasakibara just wants to laze about and eat snacks. This song he's definitely closer to Momotarou's voice. Yes my OT3 gave us a song together! Suwabe's just innately sensual that the lyricists just have to make the lyrics fit him 😂 Best Condition Training was one of the most frustrating because of Izuki. Hats off to people being able to translate his puns. They were hard and only a couple were easy to translate into a bit of a pun in English. They're all upbeat about this training that could kill them because they're all basketball idiots. Also their voices strangely compliment each other but you can still distinctly hear each of them when they're singing the chorus together. Suwabe Junichi showing off that he can put pain into this song, STILL. And yes there's just some of the lyrics that work way better after having seen Season 2. This song just makes me want to give him a hug and tell him everything will be alright 🥺 Lonesome Breaker definitely makes me see similarities between Murasakibara and Hanamiya. Just he doesn't give off the vibe that he'd torture you to death like Hanamiya might. Yup it's rout everyone, so "defeat and cause the other team to retreat". Prime Position is definitely one of my favourites. It's so upbeat, a little catchy, and they're all talking about each other's good and bad points 🥺 I just knew that lyric about Murasakibara calling Himuro "beautiful" would make the shipper in you go wild! Pride of Aegis is another favourite of mine. Again it's catchy but also they harmonise so well! Knew the "Bless us, Jesus!" would make you laugh. It really is like that Nelly song! 😂 The title, Reason for Tears, really makes you think it'll be sad like Aomine's. But I feel the difference between them is that Murasakibara cried from frustration that they lost because he couldn't jump; though there could be other reasons and he just doesn't understand them. Aomine's pain is about the loss of the game but also the loss of a part of himself before they finished Middle School. You're welcome for the translations and songs. They were all fun to do, and it has helped with my reading comprehension a little bit. Hosoya's and Nojima's voices really compliment each other wonderfully. Hosoya's got those nice soft higher tones, whilst Nojima's is a bit deeper. Izuki getting a bit more screen time this season is a big reason why we thought his songs would be best kept for Season 2. It's a nice song that speaks of their previous loss and pushing through it with the hope that the future will bring them closer to their dream 🥺 Just one thing: Riko's seiyuu isn't Rukia's, that's Momoi's. Riko's seiyuu is Saitou Chiwa who is also the VA for Yona (from Yona of the Dawn). You were sad you got a sad Aomine one but you also have these lovely duets between him and Kuroko 🥺🥰😍 They also have sad moments but they're great. The Distance Between Light and Shadow is such a great one to depict their conflicting desires/points of view. Ray of Shine probably could have been in with the Season 1 songs because you'd already accidentally watched the OVA but I felt it was better to put it with Season 2 stuff. It's a happy sweet song, but a bit repetitive so isn't personally one of my favourites. Kuroko I reckon would love to be Aomine's height! 😂 Kuroko being so straightforward and not joking with Aomine at the beginning making Aomine reminisce to the old days. Also Aomine knowing what shoes would be best for Kuroko 🥺 And then we get the smack talk. Do you think Aomine has a quota for how many times he has to say "The only one that can beat me is me!"? 😆 With how much he says it it's really reminding me of Hisoka in HunterXHunter with his Nen having "the properties of both rubber and gum" 😅 Also Aomine just has to get that dig in at Kagami. But Kuroko's changing in that he's not going to solely rely on his new light, but instead get stronger himself too! Kiyoshi and Hyuuga really are on somewhat different wavelengths. But I love that they help push each other; though Hyuuga worries over Kiyoshi getting hurt again. I also love that when talking about the team, both mention all the other members not just the starters 🥺 This stuff with Kiyoshi we held off from putting with Season 1 just because although we'd met Kiyoshi we didn't have a whole lot on his character. So to avoid any character spoilers with how he is as a person and a player we put them with Season 2 stuff. Their second duet is very 90s/00s dance/hip-hop. Though that pink and green are just making me think of MatchaBlossom 😂 If you can believe this duet album was released in 2013. It's a decade old! They're very similar to Aomine and Kuroko with the clashing opinions. Like you said Hyuuga is very much all about thrashing their opponents and then we have Kiyoshi off in a world of his own just wanting to have fun with his friends 🥺 For Japanese music I'm definitely more into JRock. But I am a fan of KPop so that comment made me laugh. For the Kuroko and Midorima duet: "how much passive-aggressiveness and pettiness do you want?" Lyricist: Yes! Yeah this song was in Season 1's. As far as I can remember we were able to do all the Midorima duet stuff from this CD with Season 1. Aomine's such a little sh*t: oh wait it's Kagami so no you can't sit here! The way Aomine's voice changed a little when asking if Kuroko was with him...too precious. Kagami just fed his date and took him to the place they met...AoKa shipping heart is going crazy! 😍🥰 Ultimate Zone is great and just makes me want a Kuroko Musical all the more. "all the colour and sound vanish when we face-off" so all you can see Aomine is Kagami and nothing else? 👀 And yes it should be Ultimate Zone, not Ultimade Zone. That "Aho ka" at the end from Aomine is my text notification 🤣 Exciting Communication is good for Kagami and Aomine because of how straightforward they are. Also all the sensuality from Suwabe; at this point he's just trying to kill us 💀 Yes, Murasakibara gives everyone nicknames...except Kiyoshi (always says his full surname, not a shortened version or even both his surname and forename) 🤣 Himuro's little laugh at Murasakibara wanting to go by the convenience store first and then wanting to go with him is too cute. Their relationship I love so much. So the candy chibi Murasakibara and Himuro are for the Alice in Wonderland collaboration; Murasakibara is the Cheshire Cat and Himuro is The Duchess. And when I saw that there was a chibi version of them in those suits I had to include them too! Taniyama showing off how great a singer he is that he's able to tone down his usual exuberance to pair off with Suzumura's voice. The title 'Till the Last' bugged me ever so slightly with having to put two l's in it because I'd usually write a short version of until as 'til but that's how it's written in the CD jacket. Sadly there isn't a Himuro version of the official art with the flowers. He'd have looked so debonair! This song definitely makes you feel a lot more for Himuro because he just can't reach the heights the other two can. But I love that, although Murasakibara says Himuro's hotbloodedness annoys him, he's still willing to stay with him and be by his side 🥰 Murasakibara is always needing more sweets/snacks! I'm sure Murasakibara loves hanging out with Kuroko because he wins free ice-lollies so often 😂 You knew Midorima chasing after Murasakibara's snacks was gonna be to do with the Lucky Item. They really do get along outside of basketball and it's adorable. Yes! Kuroko wants to bring his boyfriend to meet his friend 🥺 Or maybe Kagami is using basketball as a reason to meet his brother's partner 😆 I love that whilst they are different in their opinions of basketball, Different Minds shows that they acknowledge each other even with this difference. But yeah the tone of it feels quite sombre. And then we get a sweet upbeat one with However We Also Fought. Murasakibara is a strange one putting the t-shirt over the hoodie. Guess it just helps put to home how big his obsession with snacks is 😆 So long as basketball isn't brought up they get along great. The music feels kind of reminiscent of Carnival. But I love Murasakibara comparing Kuroko's hair with candy floss/cotton candy, and Kuroko just saying that Murasakibara's the one with the sweet smell. I do ship them a little bit. I love that they just accept Murasakibara's excuses for staying home. Kagami's eating ability really does make you think of Gaston! That image of Himuro in the low V-neck jumper really is showing off his fashionista side. And the glasses suit Kagami. Both Taniyama Kishou and Ono Yuuki definitely rock it out with Rival & Brother. Blue Sky Memories for some reason gives me Beach Boys vibes...Gotta give it to them that they didn't do too bad with how much English was in Blue Sky Memories. It also made it very realistic for their characters. My favourites with Season 2 would be: 1. Ultimate Zone 2. Pride of Aegis 3. Aomine and Kagami mini drama 4. Prime Position 5. Mad Breaker 6. Murasakibara and Kuroko mini drama 7. Breaking Through!! 8. Unseen Regulars 9. STILL 10. Here We Go Start of Season 3 next week!!! 🥳🥳🥳

Suwabe Junichi showing off that he can put pain into this song, STILL. And yes there's just some of the lyrics that work way better after having seen Season 2. This song just makes me want to give him a hug and tell him everything will be alright 🥺 Lonesome Breaker definitely makes me see similarities between Murasakibara and Hanamiya. Just he doesn't give off the vibe that he'd torture you to death like Hanamiya might. Yup it's rout everyone, so "defeat and cause the other team to retreat". Prime Position is definitely one of my favourites. It's so upbeat, a little catchy, and they're all talking about each other's good and bad points 🥺 I just knew that lyric about Murasakibara calling Himuro "beautiful" would make the shipper in you go wild! Pride of Aegis is another favourite of mine. Again it's catchy but also they harmonise so well! Knew the "Bless us, Jesus!" would make you laugh. It really is like that Nelly song! 😂 The title, Reason for Tears, really makes you think it'll be sad like Aomine's. But I feel the difference between them is that Murasakibara cried from frustration that they lost because he couldn't jump; though there could be other reasons and he just doesn't understand them. Aomine's pain is about the loss of the game but also the loss of a part of himself before they finished Middle School. You're welcome for the translations and songs. They were all fun to do, and it has helped with my reading comprehension a little bit. Hosoya's and Nojima's voices really compliment each other wonderfully. Hosoya's got those nice soft higher tones, whilst Nojima's is a bit deeper. Izuki getting a bit more screen time this season is a big reason why we thought his songs would be best kept for Season 2. Tsuchida's too busy being a boyfriend to do singing! 😂 Unseen Regulars has a great beat that's really energising. They're kind of the unseen senpai of the team but their song is crazy and I love it! It's an unexpected yet fun song. Yes we've got another OT3 song! Hosoya's definitely got that range with his voice! And once again all three compliment each other so beautifully. It's a nice song that speaks of their previous loss and pushing through it with the hope that the future will bring them closer to their dream 🥺 Just one thing: Riko's seiyuu isn't Rukia's, that's Momoi's. Riko's seiyuu is Saitou Chiwa who is also the VA for Yona (from Yona of the Dawn). You were sad you got a sad Aomine one but you also have these lovely duets between him and Kuroko 🥺🥰😍 They also have sad moments but they're great. The Distance Between Light and Shadow is such a great one to depict their conflicting desires/points of view. Ray of Shine probably could have been in with the Season 1 songs because you'd already accidentally watched the OVA but I felt it was better to put it with Season 2 stuff. It's a happy sweet song, but a bit repetitive so isn't personally one of my favourites. Kuroko I reckon would love to be Aomine's height! 😂 Kuroko being so straightforward and not joking with Aomine at the beginning making Aomine reminisce to the old days. Also Aomine knowing what shoes would be best for Kuroko 🥺 And then we get the smack talk. Do you think Aomine has a quota for how many times he has to say "The only one that can beat me is me!"? 😆 With how much he says it it's really reminding me of Hisoka in HunterXHunter with his Nen having "the properties of both rubber and gum" 😅 Also Aomine just has to get that dig in at Kagami. But Kuroko's changing in that he's not going to solely rely on his new light, but instead get stronger himself too! Kiyoshi and Hyuuga really are on somewhat different wavelengths. But I love that they help push each other; though Hyuuga worries over Kiyoshi getting hurt again. I also love that when talking about the team, both mention all the other members not just the starters 🥺 This stuff with Kiyoshi we held off from putting with Season 1 just because although we'd met Kiyoshi we didn't have a whole lot on his character. So to avoid any character spoilers with how he is as a person and a player we put them with Season 2 stuff. Their second duet is very 90s/00s dance/hip-hop. Though that pink and green are just making me think of MatchaBlossom 😂 If you can believe this duet album was released in 2013. It's a decade old! They're very similar to Aomine and Kuroko with the clashing opinions. Like you said Hyuuga is very much all about thrashing their opponents and then we have Kiyoshi off in a world of his own just wanting to have fun with his friends 🥺 For Japanese music I'm definitely more into JRock. But I am a fan of KPop so that comment made me laugh. For the Kuroko and Midorima duet: "how much passive-aggressiveness and pettiness do you want?" Lyricist: Yes! Yeah this song was in Season 1's. As far as I can remember we were able to do all the Midorima duet stuff from this CD with Season 1. Aomine's such a little sh*t: oh wait it's Kagami so no you can't sit here! The way Aomine's voice changed a little when asking if Kuroko was with him...too precious. Kagami just fed his date and took him to the place they met...AoKa shipping heart is going crazy! 😍🥰 Ultimate Zone is great and just makes me want a Kuroko Musical all the more. "all the colour and sound vanish when we face-off" so all you can see Aomine is Kagami and nothing else? 👀 And yes it should be Ultimate Zone, not Ultimade Zone. That "Aho ka" at the end from Aomine is my text notification 🤣 Exciting Communication is good for Kagami and Aomine because of how straightforward they are. Also all the sensuality from Suwabe; at this point he's just trying to kill us 💀 Yes, Murasakibara gives everyone nicknames...except Kiyoshi (always says his full surname, not a shortened version or even both his surname and forename) 🤣 Himuro's little laugh at Murasakibara wanting to go by the convenience store first and then wanting to go with him is too cute. Their relationship I love so much. So the candy chibi Murasakibara and Himuro are for the Alice in Wonderland collaboration; Murasakibara is the Cheshire Cat and Himuro is The Duchess. And when I saw that there was a chibi version of them in those suits I had to include them too! Taniyama showing off how great a singer he is that he's able to tone down his usual exuberance to pair off with Suzumura's voice. The title 'Till the Last' bugged me ever so slightly with having to put two l's in it because I'd usually write a short version of until as 'til but that's how it's written in the CD jacket. Sadly there isn't a Himuro version of the official art with the flowers. He'd have looked so debonair! This song definitely makes you feel a lot more for Himuro because he just can't reach the heights the other two can. But I love that, although Murasakibara says Himuro's hotbloodedness annoys him, he's still willing to stay with him and be by his side 🥰 Murasakibara is always needing more sweets/snacks! I'm sure Murasakibara loves hanging out with Kuroko because he wins free ice-lollies so often 😂 You knew Midorima chasing after Murasakibara's snacks was gonna be to do with the Lucky Item. They really do get along outside of basketball and it's adorable. Yes! Kuroko wants to bring his boyfriend to meet his friend 🥺 Or maybe Kagami is using basketball as a reason to meet his brother's partner 😆 I love that whilst they are different in their opinions of basketball, Different Minds shows that they acknowledge each other even with this difference. But yeah the tone of it feels quite sombre. And then we get a sweet upbeat one with However We Also Fought. Murasakibara is a strange one putting the t-shirt over the hoodie. Guess it just helps put to home how big his obsession with snacks is 😆 So long as basketball isn't brought up they get along great. The music feels kind of reminiscent of Carnival. But I love Murasakibara comparing Kuroko's hair with candy floss/cotton candy, and Kuroko just saying that Murasakibara's the one with the sweet smell. I do ship them a little bit. I love that they just accept Murasakibara's excuses for staying home. Kagami's eating ability really does make you think of Gaston! That image of Himuro in the low V-neck jumper really is showing off his fashionista side. And the glasses suit Kagami. Both Taniyama Kishou and Ono Yuuki definitely rock it out with Rival & Brother. Blue Sky Memories for some reason gives me Beach Boys vibes...Gotta give it to them that they didn't do too bad with how much English was in Blue Sky Memories. It also made it very realistic for their characters. My favourites with Season 2 would be: 1. Ultimate Zone 2. Pride of Aegis 3. Aomine and Kagami mini drama 4. Prime Position 5. Mad Breaker 6. Murasakibara and Kuroko mini drama 7. Breaking Through!! 8. Unseen Regulars 9. STILL 10. Here We Go Start of Season 3 next week!!! 🥳🥳🥳

Oh Lord, I have only heard of Killing Stalking, but I would imagine Hanamiya would be in it! I did really enjoy the “range” of Murisakibara on these tracks! Kagami has a surprising amount as well with his singing! And then YES, Suwabe needs to stop voicing all the great characters this spring! <3 I agree this song definitely fits better after the events of S2! I’m glad those songs were fun to translate – I’d be so lost if it was me! Hosoya still amazes me with his range as well and how young he sounds in these songs! And Yona’s VA for Rikoooo! <3 I probably listen more to Japanese “city pop” than anything else, but there were some great sounds n this entire soundtrack! The duet album coming out TEN YEARS AGO makes me instantly feel old, though. HOW?! JUST…HOW?! I’m also very okay with hearing Midorima and Kuroko’s duet again. It’s wonderful! oh my gosh, I loved these~~!!!! I don't know if you've already reacted to these or if it still feels relevant, but the Free! Duets and character songs had a chokehold on me for YEARS. I recently discovered that they are all on Spotify after reminiscing of listening to them all the way back in middle school XD AND THEY JUST RELEASED NEW ONES FOR THE LAST STROKE FREE STILL HAS THE HARDEST CHOKEHOLD ON ME LMAO

Ahhhhh, I have heard about the new OST for the second Free! Movie -- that may be something I have to eventually check out -- I HAVE listened to some character songs for Free! on my own time, but not "all of them." These were great, though, right?!
