The first attempt of an alternate cover to try to get past censorship really reminds me of the phrase "two bros in a hot tub..." 😆 Going by Hua Cheng's words he really disappeared so as to give Xie Lian what he's deserving of, and surpass the Three Tumours' golden carriage. Basically having yet another d*ck measuring contest only this time it's based on modes of transport 🤣 I really love that HuaLian can have these beautiful romantic dates going around in a fancy litter, but also are good with more down-to-earth stuff like farming together. Shows their compatibility I think. But tracking back on his proposal, Hua Cheng's shooting himself in the foot with that! Farmer!Hua Cheng bringing all the Matchmakers to the farm. But yes, I'm sure when reading Mo Dao Zu Shi you didn't think anyone could be *more* oblivious than Wei Wuxian. Though Xie Lian's too precious to really fault him over his confusion/lack of understanding. Xie Lian's awareness definitely makes me think of the lightbulbs in Ouran High School Host Club. Now would the final light bulb (Tamaki) be him realising his own feelings, or that it's mutual? Hua Cheng calling Guzi, Lang Ying, and Qi Rong "the good-for-nothings" really tells you his only focus is Xie Lian. And those three are all basically Xie Lian's dependents and don't really have much of a positive contribution, at least by Hua Cheng's opinion. I think the three of them huddled under a blanket together contributes some much-needed adorableness! 😆 *Gift* in this sense really reads as *bribe* to keep your mouth shut. Especially when it's such a mass of gold. But I love what a good friend Xie Lian is to Shi Qingxuan. Although the latter is popular and has many friends, the way they greeted Xie Lian (happy our scavenger god remembered them) and how Ming Yi tried to get Xie Lian to leave and be done with the Wind Master's business, it really suggests that they're popular but don't have many friends that would walk through fire for them. Gotta give credit to Xie Lian's senses and fighting skills for being able to push Ming Yi and Shi Qingxuan out of the way and get himself back far enough away that the sword lands between his legs. But yes there's quite the list of suspects in the line-up for who the owner of said sword is (imagining them all in a line-up like in The Usual Suspects).

Well, the three tumors forcefully wrapped up this whole reverend case but we all know MXTX, she never left questions unanswered so XL is not done with it, but before going back to visit wind master, why not go on a ride in HC's fancy step-litter and do some farming together? All ghosts know the step-litter belongs to HC so he had traveled in it before, but this is the first time he rides with his god, no wonder he got carried away ROFL. And XL is slowly realizing his feelings towards this rich handsome devoting ghost king may be more than he thinks…… Well, I'm pretty sure all the village people know XL as the priest of this shabby shrine that's on the edge of collapsing every other day, so no wonder they never introduced any girls to him. While HC/SL, the handsome young man who occasionally come to visit, good at farming and carpentry, is sure to be on the top of the 'wanted to be married with' list. Again I feel bad for LW, poor girl is probably dragged down by SWD and PM to retrieve SQX, and moments after this whole scene FX and MQ decided to add even more work for her by punching holes across the grand avenue. She deserves a break and a raise. Last time XL and SQX rescued MY from the ghost city dungeon and this time it's MY's turn to rescue SQX! And despite all, XL also comes along for his friends and given what we've seen at last, having a martial god in your team can be helpful when you're digging tunnels under heaven and people stabbing swords at you...

HC is really interesting in the way I think he doesn't directly lie to XL but he also appears to omit the truth sometimes - just like how you mentioned with the reverent. I theorise that he does this to either protect himself (like how you said it's that post-honey moon phase where they're really starting to edge towards opening up more) or because he's trying to spare XL hurt or worry. I can't wait for next week T-T!!

I do think that HC is very afraid of XL NOT loving him the same way that he loves XL -- he loves XL so much and I think one of his biggest fears is having that love rejected -- I like that we see him a bit more vulnerable in these chapters, if that's the case! ;) I am honestly SO EXCITED for next week! Xie Lian slowly realizing his feelings is so sweet! :3 I love that we're FINALLY getting there! :3 And that DOES make sense that XL is a priest and that's why they don't ask -- I can totally see that! :) I am avoiding any hints about whether characters are "innocent" or not, so I'm not sure I can say anything to Ling Wen, yet. I have suspicions about her, but it does suck she has to deal with FX and MQ fighting and does need a break! I LOVE that Ming Yi is ALL for rescuing their BFF!! And of course, XL has to tag along! :P How could he NOT get involved?! *HC looking at the camera like Jim Halpert from The Office* Thank you for the comment!

Two bros in a hot tub! HAHAHA! So true! I love that HC is just out here, trying to win XL over by proving he has the biggest…accolades. Whereas XL isn’t even THINKING about that! Hahaha! Ahhhh, right?! I love that we have these variety of dates to go along with their personalities, but HC is trying SO hard to toe the line and see “how far” he can take his flirting that it does sort of backfire on him! @.@ But yessss hahahaha, I read that Farmer!HC line like the “milkshake” song – and now I need a parody! But yes, WWX is in STARK DENIAL whereas XL is just OBLIVIOUS. Oooohh, with the lightbulbs, I would like to think that the second to last one is his own feelings realized and the final is that it’s mutual! Little does he know that HC has been sitting there ready to flip the switch for him this ENTIRE TIME. I do love the adorableness of them at the blanket! HC’s “label” of them is HILARIOUS, bwahaha! But I also love that he at least “tolerates” XL’s family and adopted kids. 😛 And yessss, the Water Master bribing, oh my…he really DOES NOT know XL, though! I also love that XL is such a great second BFF to the Wind Master and YES, that’s such a great point that despite his popularity, the Wind Master only has two REAL friends! 🙂 And MY coming to rescue the Wind Master! :3 I love it! I cannot wait for next week to disprove half the theories I’ve posited these last three weeks, hahaha! But it’s been fun theorizing so far! Thank you so much for the kind words and comment!
