How can this season be THIS good THIS early on?! BUT IT IS! We glide right through Narumi's team and a former contender to -- a rematch with SHUTOKU of all teams! And this time, Midorima is NOT playing around!

The power of teamwork, the results of hard work, and all the tension and cliffhanger goodness one sports anime can throw our way -- I can't believe we're barely starting this season and it's already been THIS much fun! Oh, and we meet a new "snake in the grass" that might add to Teppei's list of rivals...what did he do to deserve this?!

2023-01-27 10:33:17 I love when this show decides to “show” instead of tell – it’s so good! And Ahhh, Aomine, being the most show-off and hormonal teenage-boy-ish of them all for the moment! I also have a lot of respect for Shutoku and how they handle this game and their opponents! Seriously, though, Midorima’s lucky items get more and more ridiculous! Ooohhh wow, and can you IMAGINE being a commentator for this game?! Nope. Nightmarish! And Midorima’s growth! Yesss!! I love it! I love that he, like Kise, is doing it for the team, now! :) He IS like the Grinch! :) Hmm, and now that you mention it, Midorima doesn’t seem to mind Shin-chan, sooooo…hmm. Look at these boys showing off! And Takao as a tsundere! Ahhhh, oh no, Midorima’s rubbing off on everyone! I’m amazed someone as kind as Teppei has so many enemies…I guess that’s the way it goes, eh? But the concept of the Uncrowned Kings is FASCINATING! And FURAHITA – he’s one I forget his name every time! I also like that Shutoku’s coach respects Riko as well! Oooh, yeah the animation is great, but those twitching leg muscles. Eck. I get charlie horses sometimes, and they HURT, so that just makes me cringe; it’s such an on point animation! Is it weird that I think Kuroko and Violet Evergarden would be besties? I can oddly picture him helping her write letters and just pop up out of the blue to mail things and freak everyone out. That’s an AU we need! Kise needs to teach Kagami some modeling tips, Mean Girls style! :P But the boys need to stop hitting each other first! Also, yeah, the amount of points they’ve scored is insane! This cliffhanger wasn’t the WORST (MXTX serves them colder) but it was still frustrating! I can’t wait to see where it goes to from here! And I’m excited, though dreading the outcome! And I’m So going to have to point out the Takao and Midorima end cards now! I love the Nigou adventures and the End cards so far this season! Thank you for the kind words and comment! My throat is almost all healed up now; I just have this lingering cough that’s frustrating, but otherwise I feel much better! If I stopped now to wait for the cough to go away, I’d feel restless, haha! But yes, if I don’t feel good, it’s good to know you all support me, though! I really appreciate the kindness, though! <3

Kuroko and Violet would get along. Definite AU we need! Though poor Benedict would likely fall in his heels so many times with Kuroko popping out of here, there, and everywhere! 🤣 The End Cards really help fuel the shippers in us, right? 😁 Glad you're feeling better, though a lingering cough can sometimes be a bigger annoyance than when you feel like crap and can't even speak. Totally understand that restless feeling.

HAHAHA I just picture now a sequence where every corner Benedict turns, Kuroko's just THERE and he panics and falls over. I love it! Thank you! Luckily, I can speak, and hopefully the cough starts to trail off as well! Thank you for the kind words! :)

Yes yes yes to Murasakibara as a Valley Girl! 🤣 I love the way Kuroko no Basket let us know about Kuroko's hardworking ethos, in the form of mentioning just how many basketballs he's gone through. Aomine, King of the Show Offs and the Pervs in a single scene! But his prediction certainly wasn't wrong regarding what match would be the more interesting watch. I gotta say I do love the mindset of Shuutoku. They're one of the Tokyo Kings and have Midorima on their team. But they give the proper respect and wariness to Seirin's abilities. They learnt from previously having lost to our boys. Oh Furihata, my sweet summer child. Gotta love Hyuuga for immediately dashing the idea Kiyoshi and Hanamiya are friends. But seriously Kiyoshi's got *all* the rivals. He's collecting them like Pokemon. But yes the Uncrowned Kings 😍 Aaaand another lucky item find from the antique shop...most ridiculous lucky item so far? I did giggle at you going "Wanna make out?" Takao was in that leaning pose that if this was a Western teen drama that would definitely have been something said. First couple of minutes of the Shuutoku/Seirin match seems like it'd be a commentator's nightmare. "Seirin win the toss, ah but Shuutoku's Number 10, Takao, steals and passes to Number 5, Kimura. And now Seirin has stole the ball thanks to Number 11, Kuroko - now Shuutoku's Number 6, Midorima, ha- Kagami from Seirin blocks" 🤣🤣🤣 To be fair I think Kagami's stamina would have run out a lot earlier, but because of Riko's coaching skills his stamina has definitely increased. I *love* that image of Takao being in the shadows behind Kuroko. He's shadowing his every step and won't easily let Kuroko make his usual plays. Midorima growth!!! 😍 He learnt from his previous loss to Seirin and now is willing to *rely on* his teammates. So proud of our horoscope-addicted skittle. Chibi form of Kuroko becoming more invisible and it being Kiyoshi of all people saying all these things makes the scene where he says they should bench Kuroko much more humorous. I feel like if it was any other character pointing out these truths there would definitely be a slight mean edge to it. But Kiyoshi just sounds so genuinely straightforward about it all that it doesn't feel mean at all. I love that it's Kise, of all people, asking someone else (in this case Momoi) to stop calling him by a nickname. Mostly because he ignores anyone and everyone else saying not to call them by his nicknames for them. But I can understand his issue. The suffix -chan is typically used for young children, sometimes female teenagers, close friends, or cute things like animals. Though also makes you wonder then at Midorima not protesting more at Takao calling him Shin-chan... Takao's between-the-legs pass is one of my favourites. It's such a show off move. And I love it. Koganei noticing the little things. But yes! Midorima's enjoying playing basketball with his team. Every time I watch this I feel like I'm the Grinch and my heart just grew three sizes. Great way of showing the 'power of the nakama' that isn't just about the main character's team. Animation is seriously on point this season. But sometimes, like the twitching of Kagami's calf muscles, you kinda don't want it to be. Just seeing those movements makes me remember times I've pushed my legs too much and the muscles have been playing a jig afterwards in response. Takao saying several different ways that he doesn't like Midorima/they're not friends, etc. feels like such a tsundere move. Beware Shuutoku, it seems Midorima's tsundere-ness is catching! But seriously, liar liar pants on fire Takao! I love the violin score playing for Kuroko getting put in again for this third quarter. Honestly kind of gives me such Violet Evergarden vibes, so it's surprising how well it works in a basketball anime. Yes, Coach Nakatani gives a lot of respect to Seirin and Riko as a coach, respectively. I like his way of coaching. He seems quite methodical. He's also one of the few that we've seen so far that started with a good and wary opinion of our boys, and Riko's coaching skills. Kagami taking lessons from Kise. "Your hair looks sexy pushed back" Yeah totally stealing a Mean Girl quote but it fits them both so well 🤣 Truly so much violence these episodes. How many times is that that the senpai have hit Kagami and Midorima? Plus Kagami hit Kuroko in the back. Honestly the fact these boys have played 207 points inside of less than 40 minutes. Crazy! Kiyoshi feeling pain 🥺 but Hyuuga caught that sh*t 😍 No fooling our Captain. Your prediction that it was gonna end on a cliffhanger...did you ever think said cliffhanger would be just back and forth of Kagami and Midorima's faces, then the game ends but we don't get to see the outcome? 🤣 For the end cards, I love that Kuroko and Takao one. Just being all domestic, potentially cooking for their boyfriends. Or poisoning them. We don't know yet the true extent of either one's cooking skills 🤣 Kimura, Ootsubo and Miyaji (pineapple guy/Light Yagami knock-off) are a great group. But it's the Takao and Midorima one I love the most...mainly because of the t-shirt Takao's wearing. I'll resend it in the discord, but that shirt has been seen in an earlier end card...😍 The Adventures of Nigou are so cute. Hyuuga isn't just dressed like a soccer dad but is like one dealing with his teammates. I imagine after these episodes your throat needed a rest. No apologies for any coughs or scratchiness. Like I said in the discord, your health comes first. Hope you feel better soon!

Your voice got way better throughout this reaction lol didn't sound like you at all at first but all that screaming got you there 🤣🤣 I dont have much to say about this set honestly but I will say 1. Kise and Momoi look GOREGOUS together and 2. These DAMN leg injuries lol. Hitting way too close to home for me. Where's the arm injuries 😂
