Yes, I am listening to 52 songs about Kuroko's basketball today! Yes, there were some straight-up GEMS in this playlist! And YES! I am hyped for Season 2, now! NOTE: It took me 2-3 songs to get in the groove with the mini-drama scripts that occurred before the songs, but once I was in a rhythm, this was so much fun! 

Many thanks to  @Trukki  and  @ammluveric  for doing the hard work and putting together these songs and the playlist! This was SO daunting at first, but ended up being the best way to start the year!

Yup, there's more character songs for Kuroko no Basket in comparison to some actual solo artists/groups. A lot of anime need to get on with having a few character songs, especially with such talented seiyuu. It's a really impressive mix of songs and genres, but also some of the lyrics are more meaningful than some songs I've listened to from music anime. Romania: There better be some shippable songs. Me: No worries, the music team have got you with providing even more canon content that cannot have a non-shipping explanation! 😂 Kuroko's songs I feel like are mostly very soft pop. Kagami's are very much a mix of genres I feel. Personally I don't like the techno ones. But yes Ono Yuuki did a great job with the English parts. The soft love songs suit his voice a lot better. Kise's monologues can't help but make you smile. Shalala Goes On is a nice mix of all the different parts of Kise (model, student, basketball player). Midorima, all his songs are just as much ridiculousness as they can fit in. They're *perfect* for his pretentiousness/condescension, but also his dramatic and pedantic self. Total diva. Ono Daisuke's singing voice makes me think of jazz for some reason. Takao just giving us all the shipping material. But in Field of View he's just as condescending as Midorima...maybe that's why they work. Soft ballad fits Hosoya Yoshimasa's voice soooo well. Eguchi Takuya (Koganei's seiyuu) does quirky singing really well. With your comment that Midorima and Takao are sass kings...I now want a crossover with Haikyuu!! and them meeting Tsukishima! So the chibi images are from a collaboration they did with the characters as characters from Alice in Wonderland. Kuroko is, of course, Alice with Nigou as the White Rabbit. Kise is The Mad Hatter and Kasamatsu is The March Hare. Midorima is The Caterpillar and Takao is The Dodo. Kagami is The Knave of Hearts, whilst Aomine is The Knave of Clubs. The casual clothes-look is from a street basketball collaboration with NAMJATOWN. The sort of formalwear with the bouquets were released for the 10th Anniversary. It always floors me with how seiyuu are able to even change their singing voices to fit more with their characters. Heibon Elegy makes me really think of a Disney song, whilst Appare Seirin Days makes me think a little of Johnny B Goode. Suwabe Junichi's voice...yes please. The lyrics for Piece of Heat fit him having a bit of a deeper voice. Kasamatsu's seiyuu is Hoshi Souichirou, who voiced Shirakawa Katsuyuki from Daiya, as well as Shigaraki Yoichi from Boku no Hero. That Locker Room video was really cool! Yup, Momoi's seiyuu is Orikasa Fumiko; Rukia's VA. Just makes me want character songs for Bleach now. Her voice is truly beautiful. Can definitely get OT3 vibes from her solo song. Yeah, Sakurai's seiyuu is same as Haru's. I knew he was an amazing singer because of the EDs for Free! But seriously in places it feels like the lyricist was like "how many sorry's can I fit in to one song?" for both Sakurai's solo songs 😂 A fast-paced song fits him so well because he's got a quick release for his 3-pointers. Gotta admit with the lyrics about Sakurai evolving, it just made me think he's gonna become an entire mushroom closet (like Tamaki from OHSHC) not just a mere apologetic mushroom 🤣 But both songs and his monologues make you just want to give him a big hug. The fashion for the Kuroko no Basket official art sometimes gives me Bleach OPs and EDs vibes. In Bring It On "Should we call it fate?" Takao being highly influenced by Midorima there! It's crazy how complimentary OnoKen and Tattsun's voices are together. My Feelings is a *definite* break-up with Aomine song. And gives *me* so many feelings! 😂😭 Yes, Kise and Kasamatsu's VAs have extremely similar singing voices. Thought my hearing was off a few times when trying to figure out which one is singing. It's definitely a catchy sparkly song. Kise's songs definitely give that idol/JPop feel to them, which fits with the image he's trying to portray himself (especially as a model). Midorima's solo songs are just perfect for a Diva. The group songs took about thirty minutes longer to make with all the switches. For Indomitable I think, if we got chants like in Haikyuu!! this would be Shuutoku's chant. When we were listening to the audio drama for Midorima's search this song was all I could think of. Glad I'm not the only one that thought On The Street was very 90s. For My Friends is quite a different song for Kagami. Both in that it's slower but also all the meaning behind the lyrics. It's probably one of my favourites from Kagami. Listening to Aomine's songs with the headphones in is an *experience* Especially with that growly gruffness to it 🥵 Laughing my ass off at your reaction though for the growl in Let Me Burn!! Just makes the song all the more enjoyable. And then we go to GO GO Touou that is so much comedy as well as a beautiful song with how Momoi and Sakurai complement each other. GO GO Touou is definitely in my top 10 if not top 5. I'd definitely agree rapping is much more Koganei's style. Yes, they actually put Mitobe in just to have him nod. I really wanted to translate Mitobe's bit in Rise Up Together as Mn a la Lan Wangji but other translations just used ellipses and the actual hiragana used is basically N (which I think can be translated to Hmm, but just to be safe I translated it as I did). Seirin One-One Strife is catchy and comical so like GO GO Touou it's definitely up there in my Top 10 songs. That mini drama with Kagami and Kuroko; certified tsundere found in the form of one Kagami Taiga. Ono Yuuki's voice sounds *very* different in SHOUT!! But yeah in the duet songs their voices match so well. You wondered how we could have so many songs for a basketball anime...one was solely puns and one is about relaxing after practice and drinking a vanilla milkshake basically 😂 But yeah, Kuroko no Basket has sooo much extras on top of the three seasons and movie for the anime. It's crazy. Kise and Kuroko mini drama is definitely Kise trying to impress his crush. But his Midorima imitation is so damn good! The growth of Kise makes me want to shed a tear. The fact he apologised and that he's focused on being part of a team with Kaijou 🥺 Until The Day We Meet Again is definitely much more Pop-py which fits in with a lot of Kise's other songs. Yeah, Even Without A Time Machine is from when Kise turned up at Seirin and asked Kuroko to come join him at Kaijou. I love Midorima "*We're* going home" but it's just so as he can get a lift home 😂 But this oblivious man doesn't understand Takao only watched up to Cancer for Midorima 🥺 Ashite e Tsurete is rather heart-warming and great for the MidoTaka shipper in me 🥰 Midorima and Kuroko mini drama; oh I feel Kuroko's pain with trying to reach things from higher shelves. But I was giggling at Kuroko happily telling Midorima about Kagami hating having to rely on Midorima. Aaand even the MidoKuro shippers get a little something. You did really well on reacting to all these in one day! This was fantastic. I'm glad you enjoyed listening to them too. At least the ones that tie with Season 2 and 3 won't be just as long. As I said in the Discord, Aomine's were my favourites but Kise's grew on me a lot when I was making the lyric videos. Picking Top 10 is so difficult, and depending on my mood my list moves around a bit. My current list has songs from Season 2 and 3 so I'll hold off on giving what my Top 10 is until you get to that point. Now for Season 2! 🥳🥳🥳 I'll send the end cards for the first three episodes in the Discord but will put the pictures themselves as a spoiler so as you don't see them by accident before you're reacting to the episodes.

This was SUCH a deep dive, but there are so many gems that it was definitely worth it! I feel I had to get my shipping goggles greased up for season 2, and what better way than BALLADS about them? :P I agree that the VA’s all found a way to fit into the “genre” of their songs quite well. Hearing Hosoya getting to sing softly? Yes, please, a thousand times over. The way the voice actors can “alter” their voices to fit the song and who they are singing with IN CHARACTER astounds me. Pure Talent! And Hhahahaha “Heibon Elegy” would So be a Disney song! OH, I NEED a crossover where Midorima and Tsukishima meet, with Yamaguchi and Takao in the background; can we get that, please? The Alice in Wonderland collaboration is PERFECT! I love that and the NAMJATOWN collection is soooo good! I was impressed with both and how well the characters looked. That’s SUCH a good point about comparing Kuroko fashion to Bleach! I can see that! Rukia’s VA has SUCH a beautiful voice! But Suwabeeeeeee….I was melting! And I definitely want more in S2 with Sakurai! I’m hoping the show delivers! The songs with the Touou crew were *chef’s kiss* So many breakup and get together songs in this set, eh? :P I do like “For My Friends” with Kagami; it’s maybe my favorite of his, too! The duets were adding more story, too, to get me hyped up to see them all interacting again in Season 2! :) I DEFINITELY want to do an overall top 10 when I’m done with all three seasons; I’m amazed at just HOW MUCH KNB content there is, but I guess if you’re a fan of the show, that’s a great thing, right? :) Thank you so much for the kind words and comment!
