**DIGGING HEADHPONE WARNINGS**

OH, oh this series is getting INTERESTING! Makoto Edamura ups his ante to get ahead of Laurent, but it's digging him deeper and deeper into the con...leaving me to wonder how he's wiggling his way out of this?!

And on top of that, we meet two new characters that I'm on board with and excited to see interact with the crew! This "simple" Los Angeles con is turning out to be anything BUT that!

Anime Annie

The title for these parts of the series (The Los Angeles Connection) always makes me think of the noir crime film The French Connection. First time I saw the main actor from Eddie's Razzie series my brain automatically went "Steven Seagal in anime form?!" 😂 I love that we're left in the dark as much as Edamura is. It's a great way to keep you on the edge of your seat. Tokyo Drift, you say? Salazar can do better than that! Car chases, police corruption, cutting drugs, and the FBI in this episode. Definitely delving into some darker territory. Then Eddie decides it's now a Makeover/Interior Design show instead 🤣 Pola Dickens I can definitely see the Sylvia Sherwood vibes. Funny enough that 'Dickens' reminds you of Charles Dickens, 'Sherwood' just makes me think of Robin Hood 😂 From the American shows and movies I've seen that definitely feels like how the local police would react when the FBI suddenly roll up and takeover. Hilarious, but perfect!

Oooh, that's interesting about the French Connection! I always think of the infamous B-movie, Miami Connection, haha! And Steven Seagal, ahahahaha, I can see that! This series is definitely delving into some darker subject matter, but it being about cons and crime, it feels appropriate. And Eddie is clearly flying by the seat of his pants like the rest of us. At least Laurent looks like he's having a good time, hahaha! The comedy and references are so on point with this episode, too! Now to see what the introduction of Dickens and our shady cop will have on the events to come! :) Thanks for the comment!
