This short series of mini-episodes, compiled into one OVA, and its one-volume Manwha have been recommended on this channel for a LONG time! And now...I can see why!

For an OVA with this much spice, it packs just as much sugar, as we see two high school acquaintances who reunite years later and chase after the spark igniting between them -- a perfectly quick romp for any BL fan!

This of the few times when things were don't backwards, the animation was done first and then the Manhwa came a year or two later, so they based the manhwa art off the animation. Jaded much with ALL the toxic semes out there in the world of BL?

Leaving the audience to believe the same as Myongi - that Sunho is married - is just perfect set-up. The beginning set-up really makes you think it's a long-time crush on Myongi's part, but then you slowly learn it was so mutual. They're definitely one of the cuter BL couples. For such short episodes they did really well with developing the story. I honestly love the use of sound in Hyperventilation; whether that's background noises, complete silence, or Clair de Lune drifting through the scenes; as well as the use of the light and shadows. I did laugh at your comparison to Doukyuusei for the colouring. Definitely similar just the more adult version 🤣 Not just the animators but sound production too on leaving nothing to the imagination 🤣 A lot of manhwa I read does a much better job of realistically portraying differing ages/characters growing up than what manga and anime typically do. And yes another consent king! We're two for two with JanuYaoi so far. That intensity meter is hilarious. Love seeing writer's notes like this. Oooh On or Off!!! Yiyoung is so precious. But it's also a BL that actually has some great and well-developed side characters. Definitely one of my favourite BLs, the others being: Given; Sign; 19 Days; Semantic Error; MXTX's works; Payback; Love So Pure; My Dear Nemesis; and This Villain Emperor's Gotta Charm the Male Lead to Survive! Looking forward to what we've got in store next week!

Ah, the creator of the story is also the animator, I believe. This was pretty much a one-person project (aside from voice actors) and they personally released it for a small fee but then it was popping up all over the place for free and they locked it and tried to hunt down all the free versions. Didn't catch them all, of course, but it did become very hard to find (I paid for it, after seeing a free version and realizing it wasn't meant to be - there are short animations out there that people do for fun, after all). And I just checked the site where I paid for it and it's no longer available there. You were lucky to find it at all. I've loved this little story for a long time. I wish there was more of it but honestly, they did such a good job with the pacing and imagery that we get the whole important bits of their backstory and can see (with the bonus) that they're doing well in the future/present, too. It barely needed any words, the facial expressions were so well animated - subtle but clear. And woo - the sex scene is amazing! Especially the voice acting, which, let's be real, can be downright embarrassingly bad in some of the more explicit anime or drama CDs. Some of the bottoms sound like cats being tortured, AHAHAHA! The careful direction of the creator really paid off. There is another short series by this same animator/creator but I can't remember what it's called. It's a scifi and I think it's sad, from what I remember - only watched it once. Anywhoo, can't wait to see what's up for next week! Hopefully, I can watch it normally. I had to watch this one using my phone as a mobile hotspot because a rainstorm wiped out our electricity for two days and I still have no internet :( Took me forever to get through one hour, lol, because of all the buffering. I'm so behind on all my internet activities!

I love the set up of that twist! It's sooooo good to see it all play out! And it was FAR too short; I love the concept and wish we had more of them together -- the use of Clair de Lune is also so serene and ethereal as well. I feel Doukyuusei gets "adult," but it's a much more restrained and minimalist approach compared to this. At least YES, two for two on the consent kings! WOOHOO! Ohhh yes, I almost did On or Off this year for JanuYaoi as a review, but wanted to react to things instead; maybe I can squeeze in a review of that series -- ooh, some of your suggestions I had on my list, but others I did not, so I'll have to add them to my list! Thank you for that!! And yesss, the next two weeks I'm excited for! *nervous laugh* Thank you for the comment!

That's really cool to note about the animator getting to do their passion project and Ooooh, it sounds like I really AM lucky! It's a shame they just don't distribute it because I would have HAPPILY paid to buy it for a high quality version if I could have! :') It felt vey much like the short "Paperman," and I agree -- it's just enough to be satifying, but in the end, you still want more! I agree, though, the voice acting made it all work well (cats being tortured, hahahahahahahahahahahaha, agree with you, there)! Oh no, I'm sorry you're going through everything with low internet, but thank you so much for the comment! I really like the last two entries, though they are POLAR OPPOSITES -- I hope you all do, too!
