**RAMPING UP TO FINALS HEADPHONE WARNINGS**

After the miscommunication cliffhanger that was Chapter 256, we return to see if Sawamura and Miyuki make up...the short answer is: "Sure." Haha, we don't get resolution to the conflict, but no time for that! As we're ramping up and starting the FINALS! The long-awaited rematch between Inashiro and Seidou is HERE!

This volume had a LOT going on in it -- from nostalgia with the third years, to Mei being the best diva, to everyone packing into the stadium for finals, to the start with both teams ready to go all out...the hype is here and I'm excited to get into this game!

The big spreads TJ makes for these important games are just so cool I swear lol. They give us a great MiSawa cover during such rocky times. What a troll 🤣 I dont know why existential crisis Sawamura makes me laugh but the fact that he's talking about the actual passage of time with the stars and the universe is just so dramatic its crazy lol. What a weird kid. It's adorable to see how uncomfortable he was in Miyukis room when he's usually so relaxed. These damn emotions! You can definitely see why Sawamura got upset with Miyuki though. It absolutely came across so hypocritical. He doesn't know Sawamura overheard him but still how can you tell him to live in the present when you aren't either. Top 5 scenes I can't wait to see animated and hear the voice actors is Meis temper tantrum in this volume lol its funny every time. The Rapsodo machine is super expensive and it definitely does make you appreciate how good Yakushi is for how little they have but honestly with the fact that the rapsodo can measure spin rate, I'm desperate to see how Sawamuras pitches would record. His spin rate is absolutely crazy and would be way higher than Meis. It's interesting to see how quickly Miyuki changed his resolve after the interaction with Furuya. Immediately took back what they had discussed and decided to focus fully on the finals. I think he realized it was hypocritical and a bit distracted sounding. You cant just tell Sawamura to shut up like that 😭 he's going through it you know. I'm so glad Kataoka went with Nori to the doctor and has been so supportive of Nori figuring this all out. I think it really shook Kataoka that Nori was ready to sacrifice his whole arm just for this game and he wanted to do anything possible to make Nori understand and be okay with sitting out. There's also something very cute about the Ugumori players calling Umemiya "Ume-nii" lol I'm glad that even though their pitching session was silent and awkward, Miyuki as the captain and senpai decided to say his piece to Sawamura to try what he could to get his head back on straight. I'm sure he was hoping Sawamura would just tell him what's going on but Miyuki won't pry like ever so he decided to say something that he felt like Sawamura would resonate with and keep him focused. He knows his partner well. I looooove all the flashbacks for the third years. I mean it kind of hurts me inside too but I think TJ did it so beautifully and it makes me so ready to see them beat Inashiro and keep their summer going. They've come so far its crazy. Dunno why I never thought of it before but Carlos with bongos and no shirt is just such a winning combination lol Kumitomo definitely gave a death flag there but I do love that talk he has with Mei. We don't often see them have casual conversation and Kunitomo definitely isn't a talky type to give praise to his players individually so it's quite nice to see. He does have a heart lol That Seidou roar is just so good man. I know you liked the "we are not kings" speech better but I think him saying this time that they're champions is him saying "we are the winners of this tournament" and I love that confidence he's setting them up with. Challengers here would seem like they're beneath Inashiro so I like that he changed that up. I really like that a progressing number of teams are getting more and more wary of Kuramochi. They've always hated having him on base but more often than not we're hearing them comment that him being on base is basically already a run for Seidou in most cases lol. Fun fact is that "cutie honey" was actually Ryousukes walk up song and then it passed down to Haruichi when Ryousuke retired lol Also, Mei has always called Tetsu "Tetsu-san". He says it in the first Inashiro finals too and specifically I remember the Inashiro meeting before that final where they were going over stats and Mei said "Tetsu-san I have to worry about". Said it after they played Tetsus university during that all star weekend too lol. I think he just has a lot of respect for Tetsu but feels like they're on casual terms 🤣 Anyway, on to the finals 👏🏼👏🏼 you're getting so close to where we're at and im excited and sad lol

What a troll, indeed! Terujima is the Isayama of Sports Anime (Isayama being the author of Attack on Titan, haha!). Sawamura is SO dramatic…I love to draw parallels to him and Mei, but whereas Mei is a Diva, Sawamura is just so space oddity, haha, we love him, though! Yesss, and I’ll talk about this with Volume 30, but Sawamura also probably feels an inferiority to Furuya in that; like, Miyuki’s asking FURUYA about going Pro…why not ME, too? Am I not good enough for the Pros? I can just see Sawamura having those doubts and I’m like, Noooooooo! I do think Miyuki maybe realized his error the next day when he re-treads from Furuya, or Sawamura’s angst was telepathically vibing over his way, hahaha!! I honestly cannot WAIT to hear Yuki Kaji as Mei for Season 4, specifically for that rant and the finals so far! Interesting….I want to see Sawamura use that machine now, too! @.@ We also need more Carlos with bongos moments…shirtless is a bonus! Yeah, you could tell Kataoka was affected by Nori’s decision and made the effort to go with him; that’s being a good coach! :) Ume-nii is precious and I’m glad my OTP makes a cameo this volume! :3 And I’m glad we get those third year flashback moments – it’s so precious and bittersweet! :) I do agree that Miyuki tried to help and knows Sawamura well…he just…doesn’t pry when maybe he needs to…a little, anyway. Haha! Who knows, maybe we’ll get back to that later in the story! The fact that Kunitomo has a heart and PRAISED Mei is the shock of the century! That face TJ made Mei have was perfecttttt! I agree; the “Challengers” speech is glorious, but I like the “message” of this one, too! :) They’re not beneath Inashiro THIS year, for sure! That’s a good note about Kuramochi; I feel he’s really come a long way in Act II and grown so much as a player; I love him! And I did NOT realize Haruichi inherited his brother’s walk up? I kind of want Haruichi to have his own, but the fact that RYO’s was “Cutie Honey” is hilarious! Ooohhh, good, I like to think Mei shows a lot of respect to Tetsu, too! :) That’s nice, hahaha! Yeah, we’re here at the Finals! I’m excited to be caught up, too, but then NOT excited about having to WAIT for volumes for the first time! @_@ Thank you for the comment!!
