I've fallen deeper down the Attack on Titan rabbit hole and my long-winded ramblings have become more unraveled -- I did NOT intend for this to be so lengthy, but hopefully the Table of Contents in the comments' section will be helpful! **nervous chuckle** I'm certainly hyped and terrified for Season 4 Part 2 after this!

"The Rumbling" only refers to the concept of using the millions of Colossal Titans in the walls to do whatever the Founding Titan sees fit. Willy Tybur and the rest of the world feared a "full-scale" Rumbling, in which the Titans are ordered to flatten the entire world, which is what King Karl Fritz warned he would do (as a bluff) if the peace on Paradis Island was interfered with. The Rumbling that the people of Paradis are discussing, as well as Yelena's, Zeke's, and Eren's plan, is a "small-scale demonstration" Rumbling that at most will wipe out the Marleyan military, but it's main purpose is to show off the power and ward off the rest of the world for at least 50 years. 'Eldian' isn't exactly wrong. It's pretty much synonymous with Subjects of Ymir. Eldian refers to a nation/empire whereas Subject of Ymir refers to being connected to the Paths/Coordinate (the ability to turn into a titan).

If you think back, we've seen Zeke and Yelena talk about each other, but NEVER actually to each other (at least in the anime, not sure if they ever converse in the manga).

The brief scene with Pieck waving at all the soldiers is brilliant. Not only does it hint at a little Porco jealousy, but it does two other things: it reveals to the viewer that Pieck is pretending to turn against Marley (otherwise she would have pointed Porco out right then and there). It's also Pieck's way of showing Porco that she's chained to Gabi and can't transform without killing her. It's impressive how much can be accomplished in like a two second clip.

Ha! There's a part of me that wants the story to keep going, but I'm a big proponent of a show/story "going out on top" instead of "Fading away," so....plus, you're right; it's probably saner this way. I'll still have the Season4, Part 2 recap and then the FINAL recap once I finish the entire series and the manga...so....

Thank you so much for the explanation! That DOES make a lot of sense -- what I kept getting held up on was the fact that "activating" the rumbling meant the walls of at least Wall Maria would be destroyed, right, even in a small scale rumbling? So, the residents inside Wall Maria would have been left defenseless if there was a titan attack, but then again, they said in Brave Volunteers that all the pure titans had been removed from Paradis, so I guess after the small scale Rumbling, Eren and Zeke could have them just chill out at the edge of the island, to ward off any intruders to Paradis? :P I can't see Eren "re-making" walls out of those titans again, knowing his character.

That's true! I think of Pieck's talk to Gabi in 4x16 that whether they're Marleyans or Eldians, they're "Subjects of Ymir," so that was my line of thinking...but then, the "Eldian Empire" comes from that, so that works, too! Thanks! :)

I always thought that was her way of saying they're always going to be more Eldian than they are Marleyan BECAUSE they can turn into titans. Hence the world will never accept them as anything other than Eldian.

The founding titan should have full control of all titans, so the rumbling could entail all the wall titans just standing at the shores of Paradis island and doing the Macarena. All it takes is for whomever controls the founding to will it.

Thank you for acknowledging us Zevi shippers, Romania. There’s few of us but the brainrot is real haha. For real though, enemy-to-lovers reincarnation modern zevi AUs (that was a mouthful) are everything, think of all the dynamics that could be explored! Like just imagine Zeke and Erwin actually meeting for the first time and really hitting it off, and then there’s Levi just fuming in the distance haha (also one of my headcannons is that Zeke and Hange would be bffs, they’re both nerds and would annoy Levi together). There’s someone on twitter making an actual reincarnation au doujinshi, it’s amazing. Ok I really went on a tangent here lol sooo anyway, can’t wait for your part 2 reactions!

Christopher puts it well. The Founding Titan can control titans in any way that it wants, so it can only use portions of the Wall Titans if need be. I agree that "activate" is a weird/confusing word to get tripped up on. It needn't even be Wall Maria; if you remember, there are little bumps on the wall, such as Shiganshina. Each of them contain a few thousand Titans in their own right, so they could be prime for a small scale demonstration

In anticipation of part 2 of season 4 being upon us i have put together this little handy summary of our characters and their journey up till this point (all in good fun). Eren: Our main protagonist, child killer and domestic terrorist. Everybody thinks he's cool (even Jean apparently), except when he has doubts and cries. Man up Eren, real men don't cry, they murder. Armin: remember that colossal titan that attacked in the very first episode? Armin ate that one wich allowed him to nuke a city killing thousands, he is the pacifist of the group... everything is relative i guess. Mikasa: She really loves Eren, but only because her genes tell her so. She also have superhuman strength and can lift several times that of an adult male, no one thinks this is weird or ask about it. Levi: He is dark and handsome, projecting an aura of dangerous calm coolness, while at the same time actually really having a heart of gold and loving to clean the house. I would say that he is like catnip for women... but let's be honest, he his like catnip for everyone. Armored Titan (Reiner): Ran through a wall killing 250 000 people in the worst way imaginable, later he put a gun in his mouth and we all felt really sad about it. Female titan (Annie): She did some cool stuff (mostly murder) back in season 1, then Isayama put her on ice, both figuratively and literally. Pyxis: An old drunk that's apperantly into vore... weirdo. His alcoholism will also probably be his downfall after he drank wine with human spinal fluid in it (maybe it adds to the dryness?). Beast Titan (Zeke): Erens brother, came to the island to get Erens help to spay and neuter everyone. Also he ate his surrogate father, Eren ate their real father and furthermore Zekes mother ate Erens mother... the Jaegers are a very weird family. Historia: Very sad upbringing where her father abandoned her and her mother never loved her. She finds her soulmate then loses her soulmate, learns her entire family was murdered. Despite all this she finds a way forward and seems happy. Then some douchebag impregnates her with a soul-sucking, life-sucking parasite and now she is absolutely miserable. Oh well such is the biological curse of the fairer sex. Gabi: A little girl being in born into abject slavery being mistreated and brainwashed from the start, despite this she became a strong, brave, resolute person that would do anything to protect those whom she loves. Everybody hates her the most of all in AoT. Her crime? Being mad at man-eating monster for horribly killing her friends and family. Falco: A pacifist that helps enemy soldiers and has known familiar ties to a restorationist terrorist, somehow still considered a good warrior candidate by Marley. Udo and Zofia: yeah, you didn't need to learn these names. Cart Titan (Pieck): In the roulette that is the look of your titan body they can't all be winners can they?

I hadn't thought about the ports like Shiganshina and Trost just being used instead of the full walls -- for a "small scale" rumbling, that WOULD make a lot of sense! Thank you for that info! And yeah...surely Eren wouldn't release ALL the titans...right? **nervous chuckle**

I miss the old days!! My precious Ymir & Sasha!😭 Loved the talk about Levi & Eren shedding there humanity in ep 14. The Light & Darkness in the scenes of Savagery & the contrast as the story unfolds. I never broke it down in that way, you just added even more layers to that episode🙌🏽Love the Thumbnail & It's so funny seeing the sun all out in the beginning of the recap to seeing it be night time & ending with the conclusion. We love the dedication & like always this was very fun⭐😎Thanks Romania for all the hardwork you put into your videos. The ZeVi ship was DEFINITELY present in this season!! I can't imagine the brainrot, haha!! Their dynamic was one of my favorite things about this season! And if Zeke and Erwin MET?! Ooooohhhh....hmmmmm....so many "what if" scenarios, there! @.@ And in any other circumstance, Zeke and Hange probably would be BFF's; that's what is so tragic about the story right now Zeke definitely knows how to get under Levi's skin; in an AU, that has so many possibilities...hmmm....might need to check out this doujinshi! @.@ Thanks for the kind words and I'm ready for Part 2, as well! :D

I'm glad y'all enjoyed my Trojan Horse Beast Titan theory! Hahaha!! The imagery would be HILARIOUS, no? :) I just need fan art of it, now! I love the duality of Eren and Levi and their "loss of humanity" this season -- one of my favorite thematic things this season, along with the "Children of the Forest" motif as well. And yes, AOT has been hitting hard lately, but it makes me feel the messages Isayama's presented us resonate all the more because of it! When this series is over imma need Jean &amp; Marco as well as Ymir &amp; Historia Fanfic/Fanart ASAP Sasha &amp; Nicolo were everything too omg😭I still haven't recovered at all. Seriously, Isayama does not want us to have love in this series! OH, I have not scoured fan fiction yet, but you better BELIEVE I'm going to be once this series is over!! I'm sooooo ready to jump into the fan art and fan fiction...it's been tough resisting. :) And OH, Marlo and Marco's deaths were BOTH so brutal! And yes, Ymir was a GOAT -- I hate that Historia is stuck without her and with Farmhand-kun. And Miche's death? One of the most BRUTAL in the series, too! @_@ I ship him with Nanaba, so they can be happy together. THANKS, ISAYAMA! :) :)

We have left Podcast territory and are now on the audiobook path lol :) I think people have explained the general idea behind the small rumbling now. It's actually all been revealed in the story already, but it's easy to miss because Isayama isn't coming out with all of it at once, but giving pieces here and there. The Declaration of War plays into the whole thing - by doing the assault on Liberio, they get the whole world into an alliance planning an attack on Paradis with much of their military might, so just a wall segment like Shiganshina (which they evacuated for this purpose) should be able to devastate such concentrated forces, while leaving the civilian population largely unharmed. Rebuilding that should take a long time, and together with the threat of a larger rumbling and the strategic alliance with Hizuru (who should be in a very favorable geopolitic situation, with an unrumbled military and resource imports from Paradis) buy enough time to let the sterilization plan do its work. No RIP to the Liberio gate guards? They're surprisingly important. Isayama actually got married right around the time these chapters were released. He has a somewhat unusual way of writing romance though (and people are of coure arguing whether it's good or bad...) Re Jean reading the newspaper. It's the same language, with a diferent writing system. Most writing systems are easy to learn (if you know the Latin alphabet, learning to read Cyrillic or Greek script is easily doable in a few days of moderate study and a itof practice). I told you in the recap for S1 how amazing the character were. I hope I didn't promise too much. :)

Hahahaha, “audio book” territory; I hadn’t thought of that! And yessss, after you and some others have explained it more, the “small” scale rumbling does make more sense. Thank you for that! And ah, I usually don’t toast characters that aren’t “named” in the story — Reiner’s wallet and the drunk man in Ep 4 were mostly just for fun; but you’re right, the two guards DID have an impact on the story, true enough! Oh, wow! That’s very interesting about him being married around this time…interesting…hm. I wonder what his wife thinks of the romance in the series around Part 1. Hm. Ahhh, that’s a good note too about the writing! And YES, the characters have been so good in this series…now to see what Season 4 part 2 will bring! :) Thanks for the comment!
