**Headphone Warning**

These canon OVA's definitely feel like they are bridging the gaps between Season 2 and "Season Three" aka Act II of this series! 

We actually get a look into the "Winter Training Camp," which I don't know if I would describe as "fun," and also get to see what the Third Years are planning post-graduation...specifically Jun, who has won my heart! And finally - we get a little more into that match at Nationals! And in that short amount of time, showcasing just how much our boys have grown!

OVA 4 is still my favourite lol. Miyuki being taken off the bench and taken out of the captain role is so funny honestly lol. Hes like a little lost child. Doesn't know how to hold the voice thing, doesn't like not being involved in team meetings. Poor boy 😂 Sawamura and Furuya really share the same brain cells lmao. Them both jumping on the exercise balls cracks me up everytime. Haruno thought they'd judge her lol. No girl they wanna play around too Kuramochi as captain really turning Seidou into a whole gang. Even makes Shirasu a delinquent lol. Imagine him being the actual captain and how people would see Seidou at that point instead of how they see them now lol Miyuki blushing in the car with Rei is so bloody cute. Basically asking her if she has a boyfriend or a husband and she is not having it. She's working on it Miyuki please. Tell your coach to ask her out! Its so weird seeing dead eye Chris again. It's so sad but it really does serve to reinforce how much Sawamura changed and affected Chris. Just him being a passionate sunshine boy got Chris through his last year of high school ❤ Here's Kuramochi trying to be nice and genuine by telling Miyuki that the team misses him when he's not around and this little troll had to ruin it by being all smug lol. Their friendship is my favourite. Interesting to note but there were people sleeping on the floor in Sawamuras room and that's because the players who live off campus, who live at home still, come to the dorms during the winter camp so they assign those students random rooms to sleep in and they sleep in the 3rd years old bed and in futons on the floor. Ochiai actually does have a daughter lol. She's not shown in the anime but she does exist. The mansion however I think was a joke lol The guy at the end of OVA 4 is a random celebrity cameo lol. Hes the lead singer of the band GLAY who did the opening for the last bit of season 2. They show him so briefly in the Yakushi finals but never address him again until this OVA lol. Its very random but you didn't actually miss anything important with him lmao. I love the effect they used of showing Jun zoned out while his classmates were discussing the future. The background just greys out and it's just ambiance sound in Juns head. Literally thinking of nothing. Its such a good effect. Its nice to see how much happier Jun seems after picking a university. Getting the clock moving again must've been such a relief for him. Also Harada went to Hokkaido and isn't in university. He went straight to the pros. People actually ship Chris and Zaizen lol. I think they're just cute childhood friends who experienced similar injuries at similar times together but some people write them together in fan fics which is still very cute to read. I love that these OVAs covered the other schools graduations as well. Some of those 3rd years are so near and dear to us that it's nice to see them get a proper send off and not just an erased existence lol Zono and Higasa still made the 18 player lineup they just weren't playing that game. Higasa always switches back and forth with Kanemaru. Zono lost his starter spot to Yamaguchi who was previously the backup for Zono because Zono changed his swing too much and it didn't work out well. He broke form. You hear him talking about changing it with Jun when they were practicing in the snow. I love seeing them use real baseball drills too. That exercise ball swing Haruichi was doing is a very real exercise for baseball and softball players lol. Its very tough. The balance is too much sometimes but Haruichis pretty stable. Seidou actually made it to the semi finals in the Jingu tournament. Sawamura pitched 8 innings and Furuya replaced him in the 9th when the score was 3-3 and yeah him and Ono had an oopsie and let in the winning run lol. They didn't do badly at all in that tournament though. Especially for being without Miyuki. Anyway, excited to see your thoughts for act 2 😊

Just a fun little note for OVA 4 - in the manga, it's mentioned that the day Miyuki asks Rei to take him to go see Chris is November 17th (his birthday). So his birthday present to himself was spending the day with Chris doing PT and bonding. 😂

OH MY GOSH -- that is....so sweet and kind of sad he had to spend his Birthday in Physical Therapy...but it was with Chris, so....I love that! Thanks for that info! :3

I loved these OVA’s! 😊 And yessss, Miyuki is used to being a LEADER, darn it, not someone on the sidelines! I love how he’s just…lost…he really does get more childish without the role as captain, and I love that Kuramochi stepping in makes the series suddenly a Yakuza one! XD Even Shirasu is a delinquent! I love it! Kuramochi would be a good mob boss, let it be known. I DO love his and Miyuki’s friendship, though! It’s wonderful in these. And YES! Sawamura and Furuya officially are both so sweet, but so simple at times, haha! And yeah, Haruno is so sweet, too. No judgment, girl! And ahhhhhhhh, I LOVE Rei basically telling him to hook her up with Kataoka, hahaha! She’s a working woman whose crush is too oblivious, like most of the guys in this series! I’m sure that Todoroki wouldn’t beat around the bush; he seems like he knows what’s up. 😉 But I love that around Rei, Miyuki’s actual teenage-ness comes out again; he tries to seem really mature, but at the end of the day, he’s still a kid. IT IS weird seeing Chris look so down again – I just love, though, that like you said – it shows the effect Sawamura had on him! 😊 And that makes soooo much more sense about them staying in the rooms with them during the winter camp! The fact that Ochiai has an actual daughter is so surprising! The fact that he’s married, and Kataoka is NOT, though…hm. 😉 That also makes sense that the cameo was a singer for the band that did the OP – he looked too “realistic” to be a random person, I was so confused, haha! I felt so sad for Jun in the OVA; I can definitely relate to his struggles in this episode and Harada going straight to the pros! Yes! <3 I love it. I also like Chris and Zaizen as friends, but if they’re shipped, that’s fine, too! I’m sad to see our third years get some care in the OVA’s and seeing where they’re going – I hope they get touched back on as the series continues, even for just a little bit, especially Chris, Jun, Yuki, Tanba, and Ryo. :3 Oh good – I’m glad Zono and Higasa made the line up! And seeing the actual baseball drills…that’s insane. It really makes you feel for how athletic these guys are in the series! And oooohhh, they made it to the sems in Jingu! Yay! And yeah, for making it that far without Miyuki; that’s impressive! I’m super excited about ACT II, now! Thank you for the comment!!

Hi～the guy showed up at the end of ova 4 is TERU, the main vocal of Glay. And Glay is the band that sang almost every op of AoD. Glay is pretty famous in japan, and also TERU loves AoD very much.:D
