Oh, this episode was SO CUTE! I love the introduction of these new characters, as Sasaki realizes he's got it BAD for Miyano...but does he tell him? And is Miyano going to figure out his senpai's feelings?! We can only hope?!

I loved this episode and how heartwarming and hilarious it was -- if that's what we have in store for the rest of this season, I am going to be one happy fangirl.

Aren't they just the sweetest pair ever! You go, Sasaki! He's just all-in on this thing now and doesn't care what anyone else might think. But Miyano...Miyano just hasn't really ever seen himself in this kind of situation. I get that - I don't self-insert when it comes to reading fiction. Those people are doing their thing and I'm an...enthusiastic spectator, cheering them on. So I can see that while he enjoys BL stories, that does not mean he's ever seen himself as a candidate (and I don't think he's really awakened to his own desires in that sense). The only thing I found curious about this translation - it was very good - was when they didn't leave in the "cat tongue" (nekojita or neko no shita). This is a Japanese thing - people who have tongues that are sensitive to heat (they cool down stuff like coffee before they start drinking) are said to have a "cat-tongue" and it's considered kind of cute or funny. You can hear Miyano say it (nekojita) and in the subs I have, they translated it as "cat tongue". I liked that, and I like when they leave "fudanshi" rather than translating it into "BL fanboy" but it's not a big deal. There were other things in your subs that I thought were smoother so it's always just going to be "not exactly but close enough" when it comes to subs, I guess. As long as there no terrible buffering to deal with - use whichever is convenient for you. Oooh! Confession already! Miyano, whatcha gonna do now? Pretend you didn't hear it?

I think Hirano dyed his hair back for graduation and the school photos. Many school in Japan frown upon dyed hair and piercings. Hirano mentions that both Sasaki and Oga were getting reprimanded because they did NOT dye their hair back to straight black. Remember Hirano is also on the disciplinary committee so he is expect to follow the rules a bit moer. Japan's school year ends in March, then I believe they have a short break before the new school year starts. Sasaki and Miyano meet during the summer of Miyano's first year before the summer break. At this point in the story it's unknown if Hirano and Kagiura (Hirano's roommate) are actually an item or just an item in Miyano's head. Kenma like character is Tashiro Squnity eyed black haired character is "the chairman" of the disciplinary commitee, Hanazawa, who is voiced by Uchida Yuma (you really have to listen to catch the Ash/Uenoyama/Fushiguro in the voice). Yes, now Miyano has to figure out how he feels. Sasaki is Bold, but at the same time he is respectful.

Did you peep the manga that was on Miyano's desk?! Banana Fish🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽⭐Ash & Eiji on the cover, I screamed when I caught that lol makes me wanna read Miyano's collection since it seems they put actual BL titles to check out☺️ Episode is adorable I always wanna rewatch these episodes because it makes me so happy⭐such a pure show. Sasaki defending himself saying the fact that it's BL is what makes the story. YEEEESSS!!! That's why it's so special. I'm glad Miyano heard too. The cute teasing they do I love it. Miyano thanking Hirano taking pictures of his hair & his roommate giving him the idea lol Miyano is living for the BL content he's getting😂😂😂😂 Sasaki said THE WORDS. That's a great note about the "self-insert" -- I can't say I do that, either; I'm sort of like you said a "spectator" watching everything unfold. And I agree that Miyano doesn't seem to have really thought about his sexuality too much in that regard up until now. That's interesting about the cat tongue moment in the translations! I did like in Funimation when they said Fudanshi, and I find it curious that they translate the honorifics but not that, haha!! If anything, I mainly like that the episodes don't lag, hahaha, so if everyone is okay with the subs here, I may at least continue them until Episode 5 -- that's all I was sent now, and then go from there. :) But yessss, confessions already and NOW the ball is kind of in Miyano's court? What WILL he do with this info...that's going to be exciting to see unravel. :) Thanks for the comment!

Ahhhhh, that makes a lot more sense that since Hirano's on the Disciplinary Committee -- of COURSE he wants to follow the rules to a "T" -- that's great! I don't know how I'd feel about Sasaki with black hair, though! @.@ The school year starting in March in Japan always throws me off, haha! And OH OKAY, Kaguira and Hirano are NOT an item -- I've recorded up to Episode 4, so if I mention it next week, just ignore me, haha! And Tashiro! Yay! That's fascinating that Uchida voices this side character that we've barely heard, but maybe we'll get more with him! And yesssss, Miyano has to figure out his feels, now. I love that while Sasaki is a bold guy, he also respects Miyano and doesn't force anything on him. *swoon*

I'm glad you all like the translations; I hadn't thought of it that way, but it being something "different" is neat -- I'm just happy there's no lag! :) But OOHHH!! I missed the Banana Fish reference! I need to go back and re-watch, now! I thought in the first episode there was a "Fake" reference, so that's great! Makes sense! :) But yeah, I'm all about this pure, wholesome show! And especially with Sasaki being so bold and not shying from what he likes. And YES, we already have a confession! Hooooo buddy, now Miyano has to deal with it! :) And ugh, yes, the angst of Sasaki being respectful but dealing with his emotions -- it's relatable and so sad! But also, I do love that this show gives us those little gestures and close ups, too -- "showing not telling," eh? :) The focus on nonverbal gestures and communication in this is so much fun! I'm excited to see where it goes from here!
