**HEADPHONE AND SPOILER WARNINGS**

Just in time for Valentine's Day, it's some BL! But not just any BL, it's "Embracing Love," the series that "Winter's Cicada" (which I did for Januyaoi) is derived!

Not only is there a 2-part, 1-hour OVA to react to, but I take a deep dive into the 14 volumes of the manga and 6 volumes of the spin-off series "Alive," to talk about this classic BL series that definitely deserves some attention! This ended up being a lot longer, and more emotional, discussion than I originally intended, but I hope you all enjoy!

Thanks for watching and listening with me and for the support! Happy Valentine's Day!

Hehe, Ken Narita (Kikuchi) was also McBear in Sex Pistols. Toshiyuki Morikawa (Iwaki) is the King of Yaoi, lol - he's done a lot (also drama CDs) and he's also playing Xichen in the Japanese dub of MDZS, Shinichiro Miki (Katou) was also the shady reporter in No. 6 and Gide (who kills Odasaku) in BSD. And, wait a minute. I'm almost absolutely sure that Iwaki and Katou took turns being top/bottom on their wedding night. I'd swear that was their first switch (on the page, as it were) aside from their very first audition where it was kind fo a battle to see who would top. Maybe the panels didn't actually show it? But they did...? Argh. now I have to go reread it....and I'm back. They did switch that night but we didn't see it! When Iwaki says, "I want to hold you, too," that's what he's saying. "Hold" in this situation means being the top. I've seen it in many other stories - it's the more delicate way of saying you want to be the top (do the holding or embracing) or the bottom (to be held or embraced). Ha! I wasn't wrong (though we didn't see it that time). Oh damn. You read the sequel? I read a couple of chapters and dropped it. I refuse to admit that was written, lol. NOT CANON! NOPE! NOPE! (I heard what happened to Katou.)

That is awesome about Morikawa being the "King of Yaoi" -- hopefully, I'll get to hear him in more series this year! And WOW! Narita I hope isn't typecast, because being BOTH Kikuchi and McBear? Yikes! Hahaha!
