Ooohhhh friends, look what arrived just in time for Valentine's Day! I'm glad y'all didn't spoil the Phoenix Mountain kiss because OH MY GOSH. WANGJI! Your boldness, sir! WUXIAN! Your...obliviousness, sir!   

The Phoenix Mountain hunt was worth the wait, but it's soooo bittersweet, between the kiss, WuXian's furthering distance from everyone, including Wangji (THE PEONYYY), and the foreboding with discovering Qing that something bad is about to go down...and we all know what, right?

Yes, it's the FirstKiss® we were talking about back when Wuxian kissed drunk Wangji way back in an early chapter. And poor trees who became the sacrifice to our WangXian consummate ritual. You have my pity. Season 3 is so good. I'm so excited for the weeks to come!

HERE IT IS THE KISS!!! AHHHHHHHH since I know what they look like in live action, it was pretty easy to imagine that scene in my head! Especially since Wei Wuxian's Voice actor in both the live action drama and the audio drama are exactly the same! And Wangji’s VA for the Audio and live drama are different, but they have the same timbre so it’s not so noticeable👀

IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW, hahahaha!! I love that we have Wangji who initiated the kiss the first time in the past, and WuXian who's initiated the first kiss in the present. :3 I love it! And for real, those trees....there was much sacrificed for us to get our WangXian fix! I am LOVING season 3 of the audio drama so far! I can't wait for the weeks to come, either! :D

That's a good point -- Yibo and Zhan reprising roles for this? I'd be all for it. And yeah, I agree -- the voice actors are very similar! That kiss, thought! @__@

Compulsory heterosexuality is the tag in many Wangxian fics for a reason XD Of course Wei Ying didn't have the brain to think it was a man! That Tossing flowers extra... I'm so glad audiodrama expanded on those ghost girls. Now it really looks like they aren't puppets but spend time with Wei Ying out of their own volition, like spirits who can't pass on yet and will cling to the one person who won't shun them (even if he obviously can dispel them easily). And they are also the only ones in Yunmeng that don't fear or doubt him... Pomegranate gifting would be ideal for dark!AU, you know? Like, Yiling Patriarch acquiring himself an arranged marriage... or just plainly seducing Lan Zhan into ruling the cultivation world with him as his Persephone... "Wangxian" melody is totally a bat signal XDD Also, Wei Ying probably does recognise the signs of worry on Wangji but refuses to even show it. It would be easier for Wangji to reject and forget him if he thinks Wuxian is just being rude and oblivious and unwilling to befriend him anymore. Better he thinks of him as a fiend and a distant frenemy than as an ailing and helpless weakling.

I could see that tag! Our boy....it's a good thing Wangji is a patient, PATIENT, man! I loved the Tossing Flowers extra -- it's sweet but sad how WuXian keeps these ghost girls around as company. T-T Especially like you said; they're the only ones that don't fear him and accept him....that and the Wen's. :( Ooohhhh, a dark!AU with the Yiling Patriarch taking in Lan Zhan instead of the other way around? Hmmmm....oh, the possibilities! :) I'd read that!! And I love that anytime the WangXian tune comes on, Wangji comes out! :P It's so sad that Wangji and WuXian recognize each other's concern...ugh...I can't wait until these two get together...but the TEASE of this novel! Hahaha, it's such a wonderful slow burn! :)
