Oh, Hak, you precious, perfect man. I feel for you -- well, I have all season at this point! Our "crew" puts forth a mission to infiltrate Kumji's ship to help save the captured women, but it means Yona has to step up and be the bait that infiltrates!  

Luckily, she's not alone in this endeavor, but Hak and our dragons have varying thoughts about this plan, Gigan and Yona share a heartfelt moment (although it's triggering death flags for me) and the stage is set for an all-out pirate battle on the seas! I'm getting hyped going into this series finale, y'all...and we haven't even met the last dragon yet!

I'm so excited for next weeks reaction you have no idea! I absolutely love the whole Awa Arc, it's still one of my favorites. Character growth is something this story does amazingly well but in Awa it really shows, between Yona, Hak, Jae-Ha, Yun, Kija and ShinAh by default since all his interactions with the group are new and it'll be his first time fighting with everyone, everyone gets a chance to have their moment. On another note, poor Hak and his years long suppression of his feelings! They leak out all over the place and Yona remains oblivious lol. That scene between Yona and Hak this episode was just...swoon. I also love the dynamic between Jae-Ha and Hak. Because Hak is so capable and in the role of protector all the time not many can pick on him or tease him. It's fun to see Jae-Ha, being older and more experienced read Hak very easily. And Yun crossdressing is amazing, especially going so far as to change his voice and mannerism, boy is a great actor! Though his confidence and know-how about dressing as a girl makes you wonder how often he's done it before? lmao genderfluid Yun anyone? Thanks for your reaction, can't wait till next friday!

I am SO EXCITED as well -- this arc has been such a series-long payoff! I love the dynamic with Jae-Ha and Hak, too, and our poor boy! He's got it BAD, and I don't see that getting better anytime soon! And of COURSE Jae-ha can read Hak easily...I wonder how long it is before others pick up on it, too? I'm also all for genderfluid Yun -- I am reading the manga and the mangaka made a note that Yun is supposed to be the "straight man" or the "normal" one of the group, which is hilarious when you look at this cast of characters. I'm SO excited to talk with you all about next week! Thanks for the kind words and comment!

I really like that Soo-won and Yona both want to see the Kingdom better. It definitely sets up a lot of interesting stuff for the future. The whole scene with deciding who goes with Yona was hilarious. XD Kija has some feminine features so, like you said, I could actually see him pass as a woman. Everytime Yona has a scene like she had with Hak this episode it makes me love her more and more. She really grew a lot. Hak is definitely the best love interest I've seen. In a lot of shojo the guy doesn't "allow" the female lead to have growth but Hak wants to see it. He doesn't stop her to become a powerful character, he even encourages it. I also like that Hak slowly starts to trust the others to protect Yona. Wish you a wonderful day!!

Yes, knowing that the two of them both want what's best for their kingdom is great -- it DEFINITELY has me curious to see how things with them will go in the future! And our dragons doting after Yona -- we love to see it! And yesssss, Hak is 100% my favorite Shojo man in any series I've read. Hak WANTS to see her get stronger and is gaining trust in others to help protect her too. *sighs* I just love it. Thank you so much for the kind words and have a wonderful day, too! :D
