In this week's installment, we start out with a fluffy extra "Lap Pillow" (that I forgot from Part 17 at the Turtle Cave) and then transition from that fluffiness to the pain that is BOTH the Lotus Pier and Cheng losing his Golden Core.

Seriously, things in these two chapters take a turn for the worse; the voice acting is amazing as WuXian and Cheng plummet into despair, WuXian LITERALLY plummeting at the end of these chapters, as Cheng gets his hopes restored...ooohhhh....and it's signaling what's in store for next week. I'm so excited!

Thank you for watching with me and for all the support!

"Poisons" also refers to Three poisons that Sandu is named after: delusion, greed (excessive wanting), and hate. JC's sword is supposed to remind him he's supposed to defeat those three evils, and he, well, succumbs to each one in turn in this set of chapters. Not to say noone else does that *sigh*. That whole thing with a golden core is, to me, similar to resurrecting Wen NIng: you just don't force nature to work this way, it never turns to good, it is the line you better not cross. Patriarch arrives next time, yoohoo!

Oh wow, that is a great point there...wow....yeah, Cheng succumbs to all three (alongside WuXian later on as the Yiling Patriarch); that is a great catch! And yessss, I just recorded the next set this weekend, and they were so gut-wrenchingly GOOD!

Haha Wuxian is the most shameless person I've never seen so rest assured Ning, he has no face to lose at all. Cheng's VA is so good and emotional in this episode. I love it. **Chef's kiss** The Three Poisons is a Buddhist concept that is believed to be character flaws innate in a being, and hence the cause of human sufferings. Naming your sword as Sandu is believed that it is sharp enough to sever these innate flaws and protect you from them. Mantis trying to stop the chariot is a Chinese proverb, but you're right. It's so fitting in this context. Poor Wuxian.

SO shameless, but we love that about him! XD And yessss, Cheng's VA is so darn good in this; he makes Cheng's character a lot more likable in this series than reading the novel alone. And that is interesting knowing the context of the "poisons" and that the Mantis/Chariot metaphor is based on a proverb! **spreads hands** The more you know, eh? Thank you for that information, and YES. Poor WuXian indeed with these chapters...and the next. @_@
