I start my journey watching this chibi series for BSD, and it is both adorable and hilarious! I really loved seeing our characters in all these wholesome (for the most part) scenarios! Poor Higuichi and Chuuya in these episodes!  

I can't wait to see what other shenanigans our Stray Dogs end up in for the remainder of these episodes!

BSD Wan is pure serotonin! Whenever I feel down I watch a few episodes, this mini series makes me so happy and it was a good in between show between seasons 3 and 4. I hope it comes back after season 4 since there's more Wan manga they can animate! It's so much to take in but it's so funny, the little shorts are perfect. The little Chuuya dog gets me every time and oh my~ Akutagawa shirtless?! Things that would never happen in the actual story I'm glad they can show here, it's so fun. Mamoru is the perfect voice actor for Dazai, he just fits the role. If I could think of any other character that embodies Mamoru it would be Koutarou from Zombieland Saga, any character where he can just go all out himself. Sundays are still BSD day for a little while longer, I can't wait for season 4!

Wan!! Wan is love. Wan = Woof, so I love that it starts with the dog skit and we get the little dog transitions. Chuuya’s introduction and Atsushi’s transformation into the little cat/tiger were probably my favorite moments from these. Also the way Dazai stops Atsushi and Aku from fighting the same way he did in ep 3 of the main show. Also the flashback during the flower gazing of Kyouka waiting for Dazai in ep 7 or 8. I love those little callbacks to the main story. I’m not sure what technically qualifies as cannon, but I like to think of it that way. It’s an “official” spin off. The original creators were involved in some way, but the stories aren’t written by Asagiri. It’s an ongoing weekly publication with 8 volumes so far. So there’s lots more material for future Wan seasons. I hope we get another one after season 4. A lot of these stories are timeless, but there are some with characters and references to later parts of the main story that they could animate then. I can hope. I do hope. Aku has the BEST expressions. I think the illustrator must really love him cuz he gets drawn in so many different styles. Wan made me love Aku, if I didn’t already. He is precious. And don’t skip the EDs. They all have a mid credit extra scene, but some of them also have something extra happen as part of the ED at the end. Ep 1 just had Dazai floating in the river. I never noticed that Ranpo had Atsushi and Dazai duckies! The guy whose name you can’t remember is Tachihara. I think that’s all I wanted to say. Thank you for the reaction.

Ahhhh!! I am glad I get to watch a bsd reaction from you again. I was not a big fan of season 3 (except ep 11 and 12) so I did not follow most of the reactions but I love wan so much and it is a great comfort to me. I don't know if you noticed but the one singing a rendition of the first ending for this series is Uemura Yuuto who is Atsushi's VA. Atsushi is my biggest comfort so I always listen or watch the ed for wan to cheer myself up :,)

I WONDERED if that was Atsushi singing! It sounded like his voice!! Thank you for that info and the kind words -- that ED sung by him is so sweet!! :) And so far, Wan! has been sooooo adorable -- definitely a nice comfort anime following all the zaniness of this season! :)

Hahahaha, "Wan is love, Wan is Woof," I love that! Yesss, the callbacks to the main story, but also getting away with little inside jokes; it's great! And Chuuya's dog form is perfection. That's neat that it's an ongoing series! I think there's a Haikyuu!! spinoff series that's kind of like this in publication; I would LOVE if we got another season of this after season 4 -- this has been a lot of fun to watch after all the craziness of season 3. And ooohhhh, Akutagawa next set of episodes is probably my favorite -- I couldn't stop laughing. Ahhhh, I will definitely remember not to skip the ED's from here on in -- and yes, Ranpo with Atsushi and Dazai duckies! :) Kyouka needs to personalize hers! :P And thank you for the name I couldn't remember, haha! Fukuzawa not getting a chance to pet the cat is sad. Kunikida and Hirotsu would be such a soft combo. I feel like they would get along pretty well. My favourite was the flower gazing one. I loved that it gave us new characters interacting with eachother. Mamoru is just perfect for Dazai. He always goes all out with this character. Wish you a wonderful day!!

Fukuzawa is such a cat person, I love it -- and yessss, I feel Kunikida and Hirotsu would spend all day organizing their offices and ranting about how frustrating Dazai could be...it would be glorious. And YES, Mamoru is literally a golden choice to cast as Dazai -- the flower gazing short is so good -- letting us see these characters interacting -- I love it! I definitely want to! I'll probably this winter/spring (while we're on BSD hiatus and I find myself having withdrawals, haha) be asking fellow Patrons for recommendations for the audio dramas! That would be fun! :) Thanks for the suggestions!
