The Season 3 Finale and it somehow found a way to wrap up the Cannibalism Arc, give us crazy plot twists, character development, and giving us something to get excited for in Season 4 -- which is NOW CONFIRMED!  

It's bittersweet -- I can't believe we're already to the end of Season 3, but there's still manga/light novel reviews, BSD: Wan, and other Bungo Stray Dogs content to come in 2022, so that is exciting! Thank you for getting me hooked on this series! ^^

Oh god I forgot Akutagawa said "run you fool" here as well. Welp, that hurts. I do kind of love Atsushi going "Okay, we can have our murder date in six months, on the condition that you do no other murders before me. You want to kill me? Fine, but you're only killing me." And Akutagawa just agrees to that. Akutagawa being a parallel for Oda makes sense if you think about BEAST, since that's where Akutagawa is taken in by Oda and yet still ends up befriending PM Atsushi. (Sadly also the only universe where Oda lives) Chuuya's fine, he'll get out, eventually. I think he gets written out sometimes because he's too powerful. If no one's recommended it yet, I can't hype up the BSD AMV to Glitter and Gold by panna amv on YouTube enough. You don't have to react to it, but it's probably one of the most satisfying fan made things I've seen in a while, and I think you'd appreciate it. Gonna get a little bit of calm before season 4 releases the clown. And with the clown comes pain and stress (This is the series that led me to you, and honestly I'm so happy I'm here now. Thank you.)

FYI, Ivan G is Ivan Alexandrovich Goncharov a Russian Novelist. This episode was all about fangirling and tying up all the loose ends. That last scene with Dazai and Atsushi is one of favorites - their conversation, the ost, the setting sun and all ties to Oda. Oda ia always on Dazai's mind (My Heart). The Cliffhanger is that Chuuya is still stuck in a book, beating up people.

Ouch, I felt that Yuri on Ice comment. I rewatch it every year hoping for that movie to come out, MAPPA stop teasing us! This was a great finale, it seemingly wraps up pretty nicely and even that subtle shout out to Odasaku at the end makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. Season 4 will probably knock seasons 2 and 3 out of the park, I can't wait to see it animated! Honestly I can't help but fangirl about Atsushi and Akutagawa's chemistry, even if they themselves can't see it. Shipping aside, they're just great partners and I love Akutagawa as a character, he's probably my second favorite (Chuuya's the first) so any more screen time with him is a plus. And poor Chuuya still stuck in the book, he'll be back in time for season 4. I think Chuuya has to be written out of certain situations otherwise he'd solve everything with his brute power. Kind of reminds me of Gojo in Jujutsu Kaisen, he has to be taken out of certain situations since he's so strong. Wan is gonna be so fun, the interactions of characters are great and it's just so funny!

It's the least I can do to support this channel. BSD and DnA are in my top 5 favourite anime. Link Click and Yona of the Dawn are awesome too. Plus, I love your commentary at the end of each episode.

Ooohhhh, I may have to for one of the BSD: Wan! episodes do research on Ivan for that! :) Thanks for that info -- and oh no, I really hope they show us something with Chuuya stuck in the book for season 4, even if it's a throwaway of him getting out! I LOVE that last scene with Atsushi and Dazai -- to think of how they've come back around from sharing champagne together against the sunset from Atsushi starving and first meeting a suicidal Dazai in the first episode... *chef's kiss* and always the tie to Oda....UGH....I love it!

Akutagawa and Atsushi agreeing to a "murder date" is just amazing, and it really ties to Chuuya/Dazai and Fukuzawa/Mori, who would all agree to "murder dates" and have in the past, I'm sure. ;) I am SO excited to get into Beast, if only for Oda still being alive!! And that makes sense with Chuuya -- we have to get the most OP character in the series away from the plot sometimes, right? We can't snipe him like Dazai, either, so the mangaka has to get creative. And yessss, @WuXian_Suibian sent me the link to it on Discord, but I thought about it, and I think on the last episode of Wan! I do, I'll react to it as well (for Christmas, you know). Because I've heard it's greattttt and I want to experience it with you all. And S4 releasing the clown...fun times. Can't wait. ;) Thank you so much for the kind words! Seriously, MAPPA is such a tease with YOI at this point...but I will patiently keep waiting. :) I really liked the finally and Oda getting referenced? Does my heart good (amid the sadness). I am SO excited we're getting Season 4! I can't wait!! Oh, I fangirl about Atsushi and Akutagawa as well -- it's so obvious that our boys can't see it, haha! And seriously, I've grown to really like Akutagawa over the course of this series; it's wild. And poor Chuuya! They seriously have to get rid of Chuuya in the plot because he's so OP; the comparisons to Gojo are really good -- that's a fair point. And YES! So ready for Wan! And some wholesome and hilarious BSD content! :)

During the scene of Mori and Fukuzawa punching Pushkin, I was wondering which AMV it was that synched that with the Atsushi and Aku punch. Pretty sure it was Glitter and Gold. I think that’s my fav AMV overall. You can’t read fan fiction yet, but you are now free to watch AMVs Romania!

I think transition season fits. It was a somewhat strange point in the manga to take a break from plot and put in all those side stories. More plot focused going forward. I’m so ready to see it animated. Ranpo’s punishment is very cute. And now we’re set up for Wan! It’s amazing. And about Chuuya and Oda, I’m convinced that Asagiri-sensei has an Oda Dazai and a Chuuya Dazai in his imagination, and that they’re not very integrated. Especially in terms of the novels. There are two Dazai, Chuuya novels and two Dazai, Oda novels and it’s like the other doesn’t exits. (Chuuya’s existence is acknowledged with one scene in Beast, but then he’s gone). And Dazai is pretty fixated on whichever one of them he’s in the book with. Maybe it gets integrated sooner or later. I’m fine with it like that though. That’s my theory at least. Thank you for the reactions. I’m glad they’re not over over.

I can understand this being a transition season -- I'm used to series like My Hero Academia having "transition arcs" so that all makes sense. I'm so ready for Season 4, but Wan! will be a lot of fun to watch first! :) And that's a REALLY fascinating theory, and I kind of stand behind that -- we rarely see Dazai with Chuuya and Oda at the same time...and Dazai seems different around each of them, so maybe there's something to that? It's interesting you pointed that out, because I can see that, too. Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm glad BSD isn't over either, I'm not ready for that! :)

Ivan is voiced by Kousuke Toriumi who voiced Sakusa in Haikyuu. The show is not subtle when it comes to shipping the dous. Akutagawa riding on Atsushi's back was hilarious. XD Atsushi's and Akutagawa's bantering this episode was on Chuuya and Dazai level. That Fyodor not even was at the location was such an amazing twist. I didn't see that coming. I love when shows do something like that. I would love to see Fitzgerald and Dazai more as a combo. I'm afraid about that Fyodor is just taken in custody. He is insanly smart, we don't who else is on his side and you can't touch him. He will easily get out and come back sooner or later. Can season 4 please start with Chuuya trying to get out of the novel? I would love that a lot. Maybe one day we will be able to see Dazai celebrating with the others. The conversation between Akutagawa and Atsushi was wonderful. Really liked that one. OOooohhh, interesting VA information! And HA, no, this show is not subtle on its pairings, is it? Seriously, the "riding" by Akutagawa; I agree -- definitely reminiscent of Dazai and Chuuya's banter! Oh, I agree on all counts, here: Fitzgerald and Dazai need more screentime together (and Fitzgerald needs to take Dazai shopping), Fyodor in custody with Ango worries me for Ango's sake (because the man is just DEADLY), and I didn't see the alternate place twist coming, either!! Also, if we start S4 with Chuuya trapped in the novel, I will be happy, too! :) Dazai's sloooooowly getting there! At least he was in the same location as everyone celebrating, and Atsushi was inching into his space! :) And yessss, Akutagawa, you're not fooling anyone. Just become Atsushi's friend. "To the Stray Dogs, indeed." Ahhhh, yes! I'm going to react to Glitter and Gold in the reaction to BSD: Wan Episodes 10-12 I think! :) That'll be a nice way to conclude BSD for now until we get Season 4!
