The Weird Pianist

The writing on the bottle wasn't in the foreign language. Their writing looks similar. Or at least I don't think it was. You should consider doing another Titan Week for the first half of Part 2 or so at the start of December. It'll make sense why I'm saying that when you get there. I think the discussions will be under an hour so the episodes should be easier to edit. And I recommend you take a 2 week break after finishing Season 3 to prepare for Season 4. If you do the Titan Week at the start of December and start Season 4 at the end of December it'll also motivate the viewers to jump over on Patreon at the start of December and January. I think that would work best for you as both a viewer and a creator. Another reactor did something like that and it worked out great. It was probably too early to say that but I thought you'd prepare for it if you decided to do it.

Eren x Historia ship continues to sail with parallels! Something I thought was funny was that a lot of our cast got their one liner catch phrases: - Levi: You have to make a choice. - Erwin: Susume! - Mikasa: Ereh~n! - Historia: Because we are enemies of humanity! - Jean: Usual jabs at Eren. This time being a topless wimp. - Sasha: Regional-Accented rant. - Conny: Just being a bro defending Historia.

Yeah, Rod certainly isn’t an upstanding guy, but I think he’s an interesting character, and fits well into the themes of the show. Although, to play devil’s advocate again (lol), there is kind of a problem with instead os silencing those who know too much, erasing their memories or imprisoning them. People would get suspicious and start conspiracy theories against the royal family if all those who had questioned the royal government had come up with a case of sudden amnesia. And imprisoning those who questioned them directly would be even worse for public image. By having them killed they can conveniently place the blame elsewhere, like them dying in an accident. Plus I’d kinda prefer being silenced over a life of imprisonment, :P so yeah, still not good people, but I understand the reasoning behind it. Also, the armor bottle flew from Rod’s bag if you’re wondering where it came from. He must have had multiple types of serums in that bag. And yeah, he did say the serum he was going to use on Historia would turn her into a powerful titan, so this was what he meant in episode 7.

Yessss, I love Historia x Ymir, but if I had a second pairing for Historia, it would be with Eren. They just make SUCH an interesting duo! And yessss -- the characters with their one-liners and traits -- I love Sasha's is just a "Redneck Rant," hahaha, but I love her! And Conny is the ultimate bro! :) It's so good seeing the gang all together in this series, even as they face life-threatening perils. :)

Interesting!! Hmmm....the bottles fascinate me, but I'll wait until I finish Part 1 and probably bring it all up in the Recap... Speaking of which, that's a neat idea! The way it is now, I plan to air Episode 12 of Part 1 here on Patreon on November 30th (NOT. FAR. OFF. @_@) and then everyone voted I wait until after Season 3 to do the OVA's, so my Recap for Part 1 should be on Patreon on December 3rd and on YouTube on December 10th. :) There's definitely going to be a Titan Week before Season 4 -- without the break you suggested, Episode 22 of Season 3 would come out on Tuesday, January 4th, then the OVA's on that Wednesday and Thursday, and then the Recap on Friday the 7th with Season 4 premiering on Patreon that Saturday, the 8th. @_@ I don't know if I'll want to take some time off to re-watch the series before diving into Season 4...I may poll you all on here and see how my Winter break off from work helps me with recording ahead of time. :) But that's a neat idea! :) Thank you for that!

It's insane to me that he was planning to make Historia a colossal titan! Just...WHAT?! haha! And yeah, this season is alllll getting into the "Pick your Poison" debate and what is true peace, what classifies as the "best" solution...or does that even exist! If you told me at the start of this series that I was going to wrap my brain around a giant existential crisis of how we justify war and our actions and how no one is wrong but no one is truly right...I would have laughed. "Oh, it's just a show about monsters and people flying around." Ha. Ha. Ha. ^^

I can't wait for the absolute brain melt that will happen in the second half. May I recommend more conspiracy board space before you get there? Now, I was going to explain the serum confusion, but I'm sure someone else has probably explained it better. The basic run down is there's titan making serum, and then additives, the actual powers (colossal, beast, armor, ect) come from the shifter they eat to turn back human, an example being Ymir stayed mostly the same before and after she ate Marcel, but her teeth and nails/fingers grew sharper kind of making her like a tiny preditor. What I really kind of want to talk about is kind of subtle, but its the arrangement for the travel back to Wall Sina. There would have been enough horses for everyone to ride back as well as the wagon for injuries as a precaution, so Eren and Historia could have ridden back, and someone else could have driven the wagon with Hange in it. But instead Eren and Historia were in the wagon with Hange and ARMIN driving, when it could have been Moblit because he's Hange's second in command. That arrangement really tells me that it was on purpose, as a way of getting the two people who would have the most information with the two smartest people in the whole division of the survey corps (excluding Erwin). I just think that's a subtle little detail.

I feel like someone else already pointed it out, but the writing in the bottles was in the language that they can all read and understand, not the other one that Ymir read... There was probably confusement because they are both made up written languages and not ones we are familiar with. I've read about how both made up languages are actually just like messy upside down katakana written to be unreadable and many times it's just literal gibberish or scribbles. The only difference is that one is "written" to be read right to left while the other one is written to be read left to right, even though they're often gibberish and upside down haha. Anyways, I think the main idea is just to remember that there are two languages that exist, and only one of them is known by the population inside the walls. Hahah sadly isayama didn't go all out in creating a real fictional language like in Lord of the Rings XD So, for us viewers or readers we have to go by the context clues or what the characters are saying to know what language the writing is in... that's were it can get confusing if it is not clarified ^-^

I'm sure by the time we get to part 2, I'm going to have string and poster boards of theories everywhere, hahahaha! Interesting about the titan serum...that makes sense...hopefully, there'll be more explanation of it in future episodes, so don't spoil me, haha! :) I'm sure Isayama will explain in due time. And that's VERY interesting about the arrangement in the wagon to Sina! A subtle way of fostering brainstorming between everyone, right? I love it!! :D

Hahahaha, well, we can't ALL be Tolkien and make up an ENTIRE language structure, now can we? :P But that's good to note...I'm so curious about the "language" that the titans use, so hopefully we find out more about that (I'm sure we will), but I appreciate the clarification! :D :D

Other people made the points I wanted too. I enjoyed this reaction. Very interesting theories. I also love how you always seem to come up with explanations for anime logic inconsistencies, like a reason why they could break Eren out but not Annie XD. You are generous with the benefit of the doubt. Though given how thorough this series is, there could very well be actual reasons for those sorts of things.

Hahahaha, for some reason, Isayama has proven themselves at this point to have a "reason" for things, so I trust him as a storyteller right now -- now, if we get to the end of the series and some things are left unexplained, I'll probably take note, haha! I just love that when you think you've found a plot hole, Isayama seemingly covers it...it's great! And thank you for the kind words!! I really have loved Episodes 6-8, but having just watched episode 9...I am nervous. @_@ Again. Thanks, Isayama! :P

I can't stand Rod but he definitely is a fitting character for the story. Also him as the titan is so creepy. It's so disgusting. Historia and Eren being besties confirmed. XD I have so respect for Eren, that he is willing to get himself eaten if that means that humanity gets true peace. This way it wouldn't happen but I still respect Eren for that. I'm not sure if I could do that. That military police guy to Erwin "Are you crazy?" Well duh. Don't you know who he is? XD I know I say that often but it's so interesting to just listen to all your theories. Wish you a wonderful day!!

I'm not a Rod Reiss fan either, and that titan form is soooo disturbing! But YES! Eren's jumped up a lot this season for me, and I appreciate Isayama making him and Historia besties! :) That's great! That military guy! Hahaha, Yes, Erwin is crazy, but then, so is Hange, Levi...basically all the higher ups in the Survey Corps.
