Been waiting for this all week. LOL It's not an overly deep show, but it is a ton of fun. It quite than RWTW. I love the bright colors, so tropical so full of warmth. And yes the animation is fire and so clean. Many of Langa's expressions make me think if Ash, Speaking of Ash - Langa wearing a black turtle next with a button up shirt over it...seems familiar. And the moment when Reki watches Langa soaring through the air and Langa is reflected in Reki's eyes...again seems familiar. Wink, wink. Yeah the director of Banana Fish and FREE didn't work on this OR anything. LOL And yes VERY over the top. Looking back at this episode now that the show just finished episode 9, it hits differently especially the opening. Love Reki he is such a energetic ball of passionate sunshine in regards to SK8'ing. Which in this episode is a contrast to Langa's quiet, introverted, depressed personality. Love the OP and ED. Its also fun listening to this OP (Paradise) and the first ED of JJK (Lost in Paradise) back to back. Just fun songs. So, glad you are enjoying this so far.

Normally I don't watch reactions to shows I haven't watched yet but I'm finally making an exception! I've been very curious about this show but I also don't have a Funimation thing, oops! :P This show is very silly so far, and I dig it. This protagonist is very upbeat and fun, and he seems instantly smitten with half-Canadian blue-haired snowboard boy. Curious if we've come far enough to have more than extremely blatant "subtext." I won't get my hopes up, but who knows? I'm really amused that one guy's cool name is just "JOE." And Cherry Blossom is PRETTY! I wonder what kinda angst we're in store for? Awaiting more eps with bated breath!

Ooooh! I'm so happy you're checking it out with all of us for the first time on here! Ooh, it' so silly but seems to "embrace" its zaniness, which I love! I am realllllly hoping this is going to go the Given route and just let these two characters embrace their clear attraction! I mean, Given has been super popular, so why not?! It's 2021, y'all! And Joe and Cherry Blossom have my attention! I love their color scheme/personality mix-matchiness already! And of course....this series is probably going to give us some angst! But is is Free! Angst or Banana Fish angst?! We'll have to wait and see, I guess! ^^
