I LOVE how this show is really getting into the meat of the plot now! We get to see just how disgusting Wen Chao is -- along with his "maid of a slut" -- how flirty, but kind-hearted WuXian is, and just how compassionate Wangji acccctually is! 

And the battle against the Wen's in the cave is on! But will WuXian suffer for his act of bravery? I don't know, but badass and cunning WuXian is my new favorite WuXian. *swoons*

Do not confuse Wangji’s father with Wangji’s uncle. The one in coma is current sect leader Qingheng-Jun, Wangji and Xichen’s father. Lan Qiren, the uncle, is mostly running the clan, though Qingheng-Jun still maintains his official title as leader of the Gusu Lan Clan. You can even notice that in the 7th episode, when leaders’ arrival was being announced on the tournament. They said: “Yunmeng Jiang clan, Lanling Jin clan, Qinghe Nie clan leaders”, and only after — “Gusu Lan Clan, Lan Qiren” meaning that he’s just a representative. Lan Qiren was also the one raising his nephews — instead of Qingheng-Jun, who was spending days in secluded meditation. That’s all I can say, without spoiling anything, lol! Both Wuxian and Wangji’s tragic childhood had a great impact on their character building. (there’s quite big part of the plot, dedicated exclusively to their past) Thank you for reaction!

Thank you for the kind words, the info, and the comment! ^^ Ahhh, that makes sense! I think me seeing Qiren all the time has me thinking he was the clan leader, when he's just the stand in...ahhh, I already have Episodes 9 and 10 recorded, but I'll make note of that in Episode 11 when I get to it! (I had to record ahead for scheduling reasons). That makes sense, though!! Thank you for clarifying and more importantly, not spoiling! Hahaha!! I'm sssssooooo excited to see where this goes!

WuXian Suibian

And now you've had a taste of the brilliance of Wei Wuxian's character. Aw, I love him. Such a troll throwing the Wen's own proverbs back at them. He can not leave anyone who is being mistreated alone, he has to step in and help but sometimes to his own detriment.

YES! That was so brilliant, him using Chao's methods against him, and I love how flawlessly he can transition from being a jokester and a troll to being kind, considerate, and a badass. It's just great to see unfold in this story! ^^ I love how people stepped up in this episode (especially Ling's dad), but the next two episodes...ooooh....I'm excited to get those reactions on here! :D
