I absolutely adore this anime, it's just so much fun xd And about the magazines, the Zetaxy magazine is a reference to zexy (ゼクシィ) , which is a wedding magazine. So that's kinda important context to the joke "maybe he doesn't want to grow up yet" that Uramichi said. This anime has some jokes and stuff that are very dependent on the Japanese language and culture, so some of the jokes can kinda go over the head. such as the magazine thing and some of Iketeru's jokes. Like in this episode, the "chinchilla" that got Iketeru to laugh sounds similar to "chinchin" which is a childish word for a dic k. The translation couldn't really translate that in a way that would make sense at that scene, which is understandable, but otherwise, they did change some stuff to make the audience understand the dic k jokes better. such as in the "salami" scene at the end, the guy talking on the phone says "Chingohanda" (they're rice bags that you heat up) which sounds similar to the chinchin from earlier. and in episode 1, the Richard Feynman joke was about the "Tyndall effect" aka "chindaru" (チンダル) idk if any of that is interesting, cuz I just spent an ungodly amount of time writing (and proof-checking from the internet if I'm correct) info about dik jokes,... BUT Iketeru is like my fav character so I'm doing it for him and his immature sense of humour. :P I also love Usahara (the bunny) and his antagonistic behaviour towards his senpai, in a true rabbit fashion he just keeps digging more holes for himself even though he should by now know that they all backfire him... He's so cute xd 'cuz he keeps "complaining" about Uramichi, and yet more than willing to come to Uramichi's place to hang out with him. There's some very unhinged Uramichi official arts and fanarts that I wish to show you, so I'll need to search them out.. speaking of which, where the Uramichi channel on Discord??? (if we were on discord i'd send you the "disappointed fan GIF" lol) can't wait for next week!!!

OOOHHHH, that makes SO much more sense in the context of that moment! He put the Shonen Jump over the top of her wedding magazine; thank you for that – I’ll have to talk about it in a future intro! This anime is SO good and yeah, I can see based on your comment about the jokes going over my head because of the culture barrier, it still finds a way to transcend! That makes so much sense with the “chin” jokes, though! I also LOVE Iketeru! He’s so cute but also his humoorrrrrrr~ Usahara is growing on me with the coming episodes, too! And ahhh, like a rabbit, digging! And yes, he complains, but still wants to hang out with Uramichi; great point! Ahhh, I talked with the mods, and I didn’t think that there would be a need for a channel for Uramichi; I felt it would just be me posting screenshots – but I can make one if that works!
