 *LOSERS IN LOVE HEADPHONE WARNINGS*

Despite the subject matter, this is my favorite episode of the series so far -- I was CAPTIVATED the entire time, with my empathy levels through the roof for our boy Angel Dust!

There is a lot to discuss -- what's successful and what works or otherwise, but my love for Husker and Angel Dust regardless could not be stronger!

Totally get what you mean by feeling a sense of tonal whiplash with the “SA BAD” PSA out of nowhere . I think it worked so well for me because I didn’t “love” the show as much as other people did right off the bat until this episode and angel is the perfect example as to why. At first the show seemed southpark-y and angel is essentially the mascot of this “false” tone where everything he says is seemingly for shock factor and nothing really substantial comes/ is expected from him, just like the show itself. But with this episode we see the true “meat” of this show as well as his character. Everything we’ve seen of his hyper sexual personality now has context and isn’t as “haha” anymore now that you understand it’s a trauma response. In doing this the show kinda reveals it’s true intention that it isn’t just another adult animated show and ask you to expect more from it (Wether they will manage to truly deliver on that, only time will tell). But yeah l definitely get what you mean about them just killing people right after and us expected to cheer. I’m hoping season 2 really proves to the audience everything the show seemingly wants to be
