Hey everyone,

Another quick update. I’ve been working on a bunch of smaller items rather than anything large. I’ll just list off the bits

I fixed a bug in a new game that removed the “punch” as being a basic ability. You're supposed to start with punch right from the start. I’m not sure why it was breaking but I’ve added in code that will manually add it once you wake up.

Part of updating the accident stuff included a few fixes and changes to the energy systems. You’ll now start every day at 3-4 energy and full health. You still lose energy when walking around but you can now lose energy from accidents or gain 2 if you use the bathroom.

I finished adding in a system for blocking dialogue if you're leaking which will have a few different options so you don’t see the same thing each time. I’ve also added the other desperate animation.

I’ve got a draft set of accident settings in but need to test them a little. At the moment I think it’s a little too infrequent. But I can easily make adjustments as time goes on based on feedback.

The final thing was a little work on the arcade. Nothing to full on but I updated the arcade cabinets / games. Basically just updating the token economy a little and put in some sellers at the front desk to trade prizes for tokens. I hope to add some fun customizables here if I can think of a few.

It all sounds good to me and sounds like you are still on track to push out an update next week, I look forward to playing it. Honestly, I just look forward to the day when not a single NPC says “I can’t remember what I was going to say.” I was thinking about your comment a couple of weeks ago about “putting a pause on the main story line after the next update.” I think pausing the build on the main story line and focusing on all the side missions and projects would be great, so that the entire project progresses at the same pace. Anyway, thanks for the update.

When you say "blocking dialogue if you're leaking", what precisely does that entail? I'm curious if this is an extension of the current system where having different dry/wet states and different clothing affects conversational options, or to push the player to take at least somewhat decent care of their hygiene prior to attempting social interaction lol. Regardless, interested to see how the new accident system plays out. TY as always for the update!

Am I supposed to be able to access the arcade on the current release? All I get is a guy standing out front saying it's closed.

No, the current release blocks the arcade from actual play while he continues to work on it. However, if you hangout until when the mall is closed, the guard should be gone and you can access/leave the arcade through the door he is guarding. You should be able to play the arcade games inside and the paddle figment should engage with you, but you wont get to fight any of the bosses or anything else. The arcade should be open again for actual play in the next release.

Thanks. Using Skip Time in the mall just puts me back in my bed, so apparently that's out. Just making sure I wasn't bugged.

I don't know if it's a bug or not, but I have been able to run three shifts at the burger stand and stay after that way. It might be worth a shot in your game.

What do you mean by "fun customizables?" Do you mean the prizes for tokens? Also, speaking of customizable items, in the next update will we be able to take advantage of building furniture in the shop?

Yeah that's basically it. I might go into a little more detail because I totally forgot to add into this update that diapers have a quality rating. So will leak faster for low quality

You need to make sure you have enough energy to skip time. It takes about 4 if you try without enough energy it will cause you to pass out

Yeah basically it's just a prize for token with some fun items/outfits for the player

I know, I am looking forward to it. There are so many NPCs in different locations that I look forward to their different dialogues.

I'm curious to how the new system will play out, will it just fill up the icons as we walk or will it be when we lose energy?

I've noticed a bug with the status bar not showing up the first time is still there, would the game break if you force loaded that?

how will we be able to tell the quality rating of the different diapers?

Out of curiosity, is there any intention to add minigames to the arcade cabinets? Even if it's, say, a time + angle clicking minigame for skiball, or a mini space-invader clone for the arcade machines; as of now it feels like it's going to be pretty random to get tokens, and then from there, that randomizes the economics of gaining proposed prizes from the front desk? As well, whilst the game is small enough at the moment, it'd be really cool to have a flowchart for questlines. Without any kind of quest-tracking system (which is fine in certain games, but for a character/story focused RPG like this isn't ideal), it would be great to have a reference sheet to know "this is the next part of this character's quest chain."

I hadn't intended to add mini games. But certainly could. That would be polish at the end of the project. It's not a big priority right now. I'm going to give it some thought. Yeah I'm planning on adding a diary page to show you your current main quest objective. Most character quests if you talk to the character they will simply state your next step. But yeah for the main quest it involves mulitple characters so I htink a priority would be good
