Hi and happy international Mother's Day (if that's a thing you celebrate, or are)!

Being child-free myself, most of the polyam parenting resources I share will come from other people. (I can especially recommend @remodeledlove, if you're seeking day-to-day practical feedback.)

But what about children's entertainment? Where can kids with polyam parents see stories like theirs? Well, if the little ones are ~6 or younger, A Color Named Love might be a good fit. It's a wholesome, sweet and community-funded book about a girl with 4 parents.

What's wild is, I was raised by 4 parents, too. (My version was… less cute, but nonetheless I had 2 step parents.) While I didn't learn great communication skills from them, I did really like getting extra role models, and having my needs met from a few places. A lot of people embrace community child-rearing too, with aunties and friends and elders raising kids. I don't see polyamorous parenting as so different. A child just knows if they feel safe and loved.

Anyway, maybe this cute little book can brighten your day. ❤️

I hope you have a beautiful week and I will see you next Sunday for the LIVE Chat!

xx
