Chapter 46 – Advice, Results, Love and Lucky

It was a normal enough afternoon, almost a week had gone by since Fantasia, and on the edge of Magnolia a former member of Fairy Tail was about to take his leave, permanently.

Laxus gave one last long look to his hometown, seeing the residents going about their daily lives, it was the normal and idyllic town that it had always been. Unfortunately, he wouldn’t be coming back to it, possibly ever, after what he’d done. Having already said his goodbyes to the Thunder Tribe, even against their protests, he had nothing else left to do now. With his pack hung over his shoulder, he turned and headed down the road that would lead out of town.

“You have any plans, Laxus?” Gildarts asked the younger man. The Fairy Tail Guild’s strongest member was sitting on a stump next to the road, seemingly waiting for Laxus to come along.

Laxus looked at Gildarts with a raised eyebrow before sighing. “Not really. I need time to think. Time to figure out who I am, and what I want to do with myself from now on.”

Gildarts nodded at Laxus’s answer. “It’s a big world out there, Laxus, take care of yourself.”

“Yeah, sure.” Laxus started walking again, tossing a wave over his shoulder.

“Hey, Laxus, catch.” Gildarts tossed Laxus a folded square of thick parchment.

Laxus caught the parchment and looked between it and Gildarts curiously. Not getting any response form the older man, Laxus unfolded the parchment and found that it was a map of the Ishgar Continent. The only things different about it from any other map was that it had a few spots circled on it. One in Fiore, one in the country of Seven, one in the country of Iceberg, another in Stella, four in the Pergrande Kingdom, one spot in the small island kingdom of Enca, two in the country of Minstrel, and one on the islands of Caelum. “What’s this?”

“A map.” Gildarts deadpanned at Laxus, as if he was stupid for not recognizing the object.

“I got that much.” Laxus resisted the urge to glare at Gildarts. “What’re the marked spots?”

Gildarts shrugged. “Just some places that I’ve been to in the past.” Seeing that Laxus didn’t look impressed, Gildarts explained. “Each of those places spoke to me when I traveled through them, Laxus. They left an impression, something new I learned from them while traveling around the lands. I don’t know if they’ll help you find any solace or understanding, but it couldn’t hurt to take a look.”

Laxus looked at all of the marked spots again. There were twelve marked locations, and if he traveled clockwise from Fiore, he could hit them all in one ‘lap’ around the various kingdoms and countries. “I’ll consider it.” Laxus folded up the map and put it into the inner pocket of his long coat. “Later, old man.”

“Have a good trip, Laxus.” Gildarts stood up from the stump and headed back towards Fairy Tail. “Send your grandpa a letter every now and then. Just because you’re expelled doesn’t me you can’t keep in touch.”

Laxus just waved over his shoulder as the two got farther apart.

“Always has to be the tough guy.” Gildarts shook his head with a grin.

-Fairy Tail Guild Hall-

“The results are out!”

“Who won the Miss Fairy Tail Contest this year?!”

The large poster that announced the results was being crowded around by a good number of Fairy Tail members.

“Mira won!” Lisanna cheered for her big sister, hugging her with a warm giggle.

“Obviously.” Mira laughed with a faux pompous look on her face and her nose in the air.

“So refined in victory.” Cana grinned at Mira’s act.

Erza had an adorable little pout on her face. “Second place…” Her rivalry with Mira was still strong to this day, so losing, even in the Miss Fairy Tail Contest, was still a loss.

“Levy got third!” Lucy pointed out the placement of her fellow book lover, shooting a smile at Levy.

“I’m glad everyone liked it.” Levy giggled cutely, a small tinge of pink on her cheeks. Her sexy librarian look had been quite a hit, apparently.

The top five of the Contest had been Mira, Erza, Levy, Lisanna, and Juvia. The five names displayed in large, bright letters on the poster. That meant the 500,000 Jewel reward was going to the Dragon’s Den and would be saved for future expenses.

Lucy pouted a little, crossing her arms over her chest. “I didn’t even get to do my Appeal.” Looking over at the person responsible for that, the Celestial Spirit Mage couldn’t help but sigh and smile just slightly.

“You can use me as a model for your art, you know?” Evergreen posed before Reedus, the Pict Mage looking rather put upon by the woman’s insistence. “But don’t get any ideas! I’m not talking about doing nudes!”

The Thunder Tribe had slowly been integrating into the Guild more and more over the past week. They were given various tasks by Makarov and earned a bit of money for their work, just like any of the other Guild employees, like the waitresses. Freed had even cut his long hair incredibly short, almost a buzz cut, in repentance for his actions during the ‘Battle of Fairy Tail’.

“I hear you and Gajeel are doing the naughty.” Bickslow teased Levy as he walked by with a tray of food, his task for the day being to help the waitresses.

“No we’re not!” Levy’s cheeks burned red as she shouted at Bickslow.

“The totally are~” Happy continued the teasing, having been following Bickslow as the tray of food contained a plate of grilled fish.

Lucy shot Happy a look. “Happy… I’ll tell Lisanna.”

Happy covered his mouth so quickly they were practically a blur. He flew away to the opposite side of the Guild Hall to try and avoid getting in trouble.

“Thank you, Lucy.” Levy sighed that so many people thought that she and Gajeel had gone that far. It was already too late to make them understand that she and Gajeel weren’t together…that had seemingly become a fact within Fairy Tail now. But they didn’t have to speculate about how far the two had progressed their relationship! ‘We’re not even together…’ Levy thought to herself…though she’d be lying if she said that the thought wasn’t in her head more often than not lately.

“No problem, Levy.” Lucy smiled warmly and gave Levy a gentle hug.

Levy pulled away after a moment to look around the Guild Hall. “Where’s Natsu, Cana, and Juvia? I don’t think I’ve seen them today.”

“They’re helping Juvia move into the Dragon’s Den.” Lucy giggled as the two sat down at a table to chat.

“Already?!” Levy’s face was a little red, but an adorably wicked smirk crossed her lips a second later. “Natsu moves quick, eh Lucy?” The Solid Script Mage teased her friend playfully. “Not that Juvia hasn’t made her interest known since she met him.”

Lucy giggled too. “Yeah, but we all love Juvia to pieces already. It only seems right for her to move in as she joins our family.” Before joining Fairy Tail, Lucy wouldn’t have imagined her life like this. A large family that loved and cared for her, a ‘husband’ in every way that mattered, multiple ‘sister wives’ that loved and adored her, and that she loved and adored in return. It had certainly gone a long, long way to heal her heart that had been void of familial love after her mother had passed away.

“Going to have a Water Dragon soon, huh?” Levy smiled at Lucy’s obvious happiness.

“Natsu does think that Juvia’s affinity to water may be too strong for her to accept any other element.” Lucy said with a shrug. “It’s no big deal to us what her element is; she’s family regardless.”

“Well, if she needs help with magical water,” Levy wrote the word ‘water’ in the air with her Magic. The liquid materialized and then fell into Levy’s empty cup on the table. “I’ll be happy to help out.”

“Thank you, Levy.” Lucy smiled brightly at the offer.

Mira suddenly sat down on Levy’s right. “Speaking of Dragon Slayer Elements…”

Lisanna sat down on Levy’s left side with a giggle. “Have you given any thought to what your will be in the future?”

“M-Mira! Lisanna!” Levy fidgeted a little at the sudden appearance of the Strauss Sisters. The topic wasn’t helping, since to become a Dragon Slayer would mean that she and Gajeel would be getting MUCH closer.

The three Dragon Slayer women all giggled and playfully encouraged Levy in what was clearly a budding relationship between her and Gajeel.

-Dragon’s Den-

Cana released Juvia’s belongings from her Card Dimension spell, the various luggage and miscellaneous items appearing on the large bed in the master bedroom. “Are you sure that you want to move straight into the master bedroom, Juvia?”

“J-Juvia doesn’t mind.” Juvia blushed prettily at the implication of her choice. “Juvia would like to be sn-snuggled…every…night.” She had her hands over her red cheeks now and was swaying side-to-side as she imagined it.

“We can do that.” Natsu chuckled as he moved some of his things around to make space for Juvia’s possessions. “Might need to expand the house again soon.”

“Sounds like a good way to welcome Juvia home.” Cana smiled warmly at the Water Mage, making sure that Juvia knew the Dragon’s Den was truly her home now.

Juvia gave Cana an absolutely gorgeous smile in return, never having felt so loved and welcomed in her life. Without even thinking about it, Juvia gave Cana a warm hug. Cana returned the hug, pouring her affection and love for Juvia into the embrace as they held each other.

Natsu wrapped his arms around both women, his warmth surrounding Juvia and Cana. “Welcome home, Juvia.”

“J-Juvia is home.” Juvia smiled even as small happy tears formed at the corner of her eyes. It would be so wonderful to come back from a Quest, open the front door, say ‘I’m home’, and have others warmly welcome her back. ‘Juvia finally has a family of her own.’ The Water Mage snuggled into the loving embrace even more, never wanting it to end.

The whole house was practically filled with warmth and love as the three of them set about putting Juvia’s things away. Clothes, shoes, small personal possessions that Juvia had kept for years, like a teru teru bōzu doll that she’d made when she was just a little girl in hopes of stopping the rain that followed her everywhere.

Once Juvia was moved in, Cana had practically dragged her into the hot spring for a bath.

“C-Cana!” Juvia mewled out as Cana washed her back.

“Yes, Juvia?” Cana replied with a grin, as if she wasn’t occasionally copping a feel of Juvia’s generous bottom.

Juvia fidgeted on the short stool a little. “Th-That’s for Natsu-sama…”

“Oh? Is it?” Cana laughed and trailed her hands up Juvia’s sides, making the Rain Woman shiver pleasantly, before gently cupping Juvia’s tits. “What about these?”

Juvia moaned lowly as Cana gently massaged her breasts. “Th-Those are for Natsu-sama t-too…” She mumbled the rest of her words so much that even Cana couldn’t make them out.

“What was that last part?” Cana asked as she hugged Juvia from behind, pressing her body flush against the other woman’s back.

“Th-They’re also f-for…Juvia and Natsu’s b-babies…” Juvia’s quiet words at the end made her blush so hot that wisps of steam could be seen rising from her blue hair.

Cana smiled and gently kissed Juvia’s cheek. “That’s wonderful, Juvia.” All of Natsu’s Mates wanted children in the future too. “Come next ‘season’…we’ll help you out.” Cana hummed lowly as her hands slowly moved up and down Juvia’s trim tummy. “Otherwise, we might have a little Steam Dragon on the way before we’re ready.” Her fingertips gently circled a spot on Juvia’s lower stomach.

“Cana…” Juvia cooed at the idea of her and Natsu’s first child together. ‘Boy or girl… They’ll be the cutest and most wonderful baby.’ Her hands moved to cover Cana’s, right over that special spot on her tummy.

-Evening-

Dinner was a bright and cheery celebration in the Dragon’s Den that night.

It was a welcome party for Juvia as she joined their family, and when she was ready, she’d go through the Dragon Soul Ritual with Natsu and become a Dragon Slayer. After that, she’d become Natsu’s Mate once they reached that stage of intimacy in their relationship.

After dinner, Happy flew up to his room, a specially-made room that was built to his proportions by his family. The flying cat had his own space in the house, just like the rest of the family, and it showed just how much they loved and cared for Happy. It also let Happy ‘escape’ whenever the girls and Natsu were feeling frisky, much to the blue cat’s relief.

Meanwhile, in the master bedroom, everyone was preparing for bed. The girls put on sleep clothes, while Natsu was already in bed with just his boxers on. Both of the small Lacrima lamps were already imbued with Lisanna’s Fire Magic, looking like flames were burning within the two crystals on either side of the bed. The light and shadows flickered from the flame-like illumination, casting a warm mood in the room as moonlight poured in from the skylights in the ceiling.

“Is Juvia to your liking, N-Natsu-sama?” Juvia asked cutely, standing at the foot of the bed in a short, light-blue nightgown that stopped around mid-thigh.

“You’re always beautiful, Juvia.” Natsu smiled warmly at her, patting the bed beside him invitingly.

Juvia cooed at the compliment and eagerly crawled over to Natsu’s side, giving him a very generous look at her cleavage as she did so, given that the nightgown was loose and had a slight dip in the neckline. She lay beside Natsu, snuggling up with a bright smile when his arm wrapped around her and pulled her into his side. With a contented mewl, Juvia rested her head on Natsu’s chest as her arm crossed over his toned stomach to hold him close.

“Adorable…” Erza giggled at the cute scene, crawling into bed on the opposite side. “We make for quite the contrast, don’t we, Juvia?” Erza laid her head on Natsu’s chest, her scarlet hair right next to Juvia’s azure locks.

“Mm.” Juvia hummed in agreement. With a cute blink, she tilted her head up as Erza gently lifted her chin with one finger. “Natsu-sama~” Juvia melted into the kiss that Natsu gave her while Erza smiled at having guided the Water Mage into it.

“Awww…” Lisanna and Mira cooed at the cute kiss that Juvia was being given. Soft, gentle, and sweet…just what Juvia wanted.

“Natsu knows how to treat us.” Cana smiled with a little giggle as she lay next to Juvia on the large bed.

“Mhmm~” Lucy agreed with a smile, crawling up Natsu’s chest and stealing his lips just a moment after they’d left Juvia’s.

“No fair…” Mira pretended to pout as Erza took the next goodnight kiss. She pressed herself against the redhead’s back and kissed Natsu next.

Juvia could only sigh in bliss, even if her cheeks were a bright pink, as she watched Lisanna kiss Natsu next. ‘Juvia’s family is so warm and loving…’ She relaxed in the warmth that she was now surrounded by, cuddled up to Natsu, Cana at her back, the warm blankets and furs pulled over them all to keep away any of the autumn chill that would try to creep into their home. “Goodnight.”

“Goodnight, Juvia.” The rest of her bedmates returned as a few of them yawned and cuddled a little closer.

It was truly a cuddle pile if ever there was one.

-The Next Day-

Makarov read over the letter that had just come in via messenger bird. It was from the merchant town of Akarifa. The letter had the official seal of the Royal Army and was a request for emergency assistance. “Naked Mumy? The Dark Guild?” He hummed as he read the last of the letter. It was somewhat odd that a Dark Guild would so brazenly rob a merchant guild in broad daylight, and if the number of Mages was accurate, it wasn’t even the entire Dark Guild. “Naked Mummy has been able to operate for so long because they’re cautious and run away before the Rune Knights show up. Why would they change tactics so suddenly?” Makarov pondered on the change for a moment before deciding on who to send. He hopped out of his chair and left his office, before jumping onto the railing of the third floor. “LISTEN UP!!!”

All sound in the Guild quickly died down as everyone looked up at Makarov.

“We’ve received an emergency request for aid from the army squadron stationed at the merchant town of Akarifa! A portion of the Dark Guild, Naked Mummy, is robbing the Enterprise Guild there in broad daylight and have even taken hostages! The soldiers have called for the Rune Knights as well, but as we are closer than the nearest Rune Knight base, our assistance has been requested!”

Now all of the Fairy Tail members knew why Makarov was speaking to them as a group. He was going to decide which of them would go to deal with the emergency issue.

“Levy! Lucy! Gajeel!” Makarov looked at each of them in turn. “You three will go and settle this situation!”

“Yes, Master!” All three stood up and acknowledged Makarov’s choice.

Lucy, Levy, and Gajeel would be more than enough to not only safely secure the hostages, but to subdue less than half of Naked Mummy’s forces. Sending out a team of S-Ranks would be overkill, and may send Naked Mummy into a panic, which was the last thing anyone wanted when they had hostages.

“Lucy.” Levy smiled confidently at her friend. “Are you ready?”

“Ready!” Lucy nodded firmly to Levy and then to Gajeel as he joined them.

“Be safe, Lucy!” Lucy was quickly in a group hug from her family as they all squeezed her gently and left a kiss either on her cheek or on her lips.

Lucy had to shake herself from all of the affection that nearly made her mind hazy. “I will!” She shot Natsu and her Dragon Sisters a smile.

“Black Steel…” Natsu caught Gajeel’s eyes and the two male Dragon Slayers engaged in an intense stare down for a long moment.

Gajeel snorted lightly after the two broke their gaze. “Tch. She’ll be fine, Salamander.” He walked towards the doors with Levy and Lucy.

Natsu had full belief in Lucy’s abilities, but it never hurt to be sure.

“So protective, Natsu.” Erza smiled softly at him, gently taking his hand in hers.

Lisanna took his other hand with a cute smile of her own. “Lucy and Levy are strong. They’ll have this settled in no time.”

“If anything goes wrong, Gajeel will deal with the Dark Mages easy enough.” Mira reassured Natsu, knowing exactly what kind of silent conversation the two men had in that long stare down.

“Happy, why don’t you fly them there?” Cana suggested, since Makarov hadn’t forbidden it.

“Aye, sir!” Happy agreed and in a flash his Aera Magic activated, producing his white wings. Happy flew over to land on Lucy’s shoulder before the trio had even left the Guild.

As soon as they left the Guild’s new courtyard, Happy glided off of Lucy’s shoulder a good distance and then glowed golden. His size rapidly increased until he towered over the three Mages.

“Huh, didn’t know your cat could do that.” Gajeel admitted, looking up at Happy.

“All aboard!” Happy knelt down so that the three could get on his back.

Lucy hopped on with the ease of experience.

Levy, given her short stature, was having a bit of trouble.

“Here, shortstack.” Gajeel took hold of Levy’s waist, surprisingly gently, and lifted her up until Levy could grab Lucy’s hand and be pulled up and onto Happy’s back.

“Th-Thank you, Gajeel.” Levy had pink cheeks and was glad that she was wearing her beige capri pants today instead of a skirt.

“Sure.” Gajeel easily hopped up onto Happy’s back and sat down.

Lucy almost giggled at seeing the two getting closer. It was so obvious they had something developing between them. ‘Gajeel is even sitting behind her in case she falls.’ For all of the Iron Dragon Slayer’s…roughness…he was clearly the protective type when it came to Levy.

“Let’s go!” Happy flapped his giant wings twice and they were airborne, heading for Akarifa at speed.

As they were flying, the trio started making a plan.

“What do we know about this merchant guild?” Gajeel asked, having never been to the smaller town.

“The branch of the Enterprise Guild located in Akarifa is called ‘Love & Lucky’.” Levy began, listing off what she knew about the place. “It’s a mid-sized guild branch that is located on a trade route east of Magnolia.”

“Love & Lucky?” Lucy blinked as an old memory came crashing to the forefront of her mind.

“You know it, Lucy?” Levy looked at the blonde curiously.

“I’ve never been there.” Lucy shook her head. “But my mother once told me that she met my father at a merchant guild named ‘Love & Lucky’. It was how they started their relationship and their business, ‘Heartfilia Railroads’, before I was born.” She barely held in a sigh, recalling how happy her mother had been while telling that story to a much younger Lucy. That was long before her father had become a cold and closed-off man that had no time for anyone.

Levy leaned over to give Lucy a hug, knowing a bit about her friend’s estranged relationship with her father.

Gajeel didn’t comment on the strained family relationship, but he did move the conversation along. “If it’s a mid-sized branch, how many people could be taken hostage?”

“Hmm, maybe as many as thirty, if we count the staff and the merchants that may have been inside the building at the time.” Levy estimated, having only vague knowledge of the staff numbers at a few merchant guilds that she’d accepted Quests from over the years.

“Thirty could be tricky if they’re spread out.” Lucy looked concerned for the safety of the hostages.

“You can make numbers though, right?” Gajeel looked at Lucy like she was dim.

“Gajeel!” Levy shot a look at Gajeel for the rudeness.

Lucy shrugged it off for now. “I can, but only so many. Golden Gate Keys take a good amount of Magic Power to invoke.”

-Akarifa ~ Love & Lucky-

Happy touched down on the street leading to the merchant guild. Lucy, Levy, and Gajeel hopped off his back easily as Happy shrank back down and flew onto Lucy’s shoulder a second later.

A soldier rushed over to them quickly. “Are you the emergency assistance from Fairy Tail?! May I see your Guild Marks?”

Lucy raised her hand, showing off her pink mark on the back. Levy turned around and pulled the edge of her shirt aside, revealing the white Fairy Tail mark on her shoulder blade. Gajeel merely angled his left shoulder so that the soldier could see the black Fairy Tail Mark there.

“Thank you very much! Please, follow me!” The soldier guided them to the area where the squadron had stationed themselves, most of the soldiers had already surrounded Love & Lucky so that the Dark Mages couldn’t flee.

After meeting the Captain in-charge of the soldiers and having the basic situation explained, Levy had a question.

“How did the Naked Mummy members get inside? I doubt that they just walked in.” Levy couldn’t help but ask.

“We’re not sure.” The Captain shook his head, his slightly wrinkled face was stern. “Nobody reported anyone strange coming into town, much less a group of strange people like these ruffians.”

“So probably Magic.” Gajeel figured that was the most likely cause.

“Happy, can you peek into the windows and get us an idea of what’s going on inside?” Lucy asked with a serious look.

“Aye!” Happy flew off quickly to do a bit of reconnaissance. It was only a couple of minutes later that Happy returned with the information. “There are seventeen Mages in the group, and about thirty-two hostages. The leader appears to be a guy with a shotgun.” Happy looked a bit confused on that point.

“What’re you thinking, Happy?” Levy asked, seeing the look on the blue cat’s face.

“Well, this is an attack by Naked Mummy…but I didn’t see either of their two leaders; not ‘Crazy Monkey’ Zatô or ‘Repeating Club’ Gatô.

“Neither of them?” Levy blinked at the new information.

“I sometimes forget how many Mages and Dark Mages you’ve memorized.” Lucy looked impressed at Happy’s vast knowledge of the ‘Who’s Who’ of Mages, both Legal and Dark.

“Hm!” Happy thrust his chest out proudly at the praise.

“Where are the hostages?” Gajeel questioned, hoping to move this along.

“There all grouped together here.” Happy pointed to a spot on the building blueprint that the soldiers had gotten from the town hall.

Levy, Gajeel, and Lucy looked at where the hostages were while Happy pointed out the location of the Naked Mummy members.

“We need to get in there without alerting them…but how?” Levy knew that they had to secure the hostages first, but they couldn’t do that by walking in through the front door.

“Actually, I think I might have an idea.” Lucy grinned and took hold of Virgo’s Key. “Open! Gate of the Maiden: Virgo!”

Virgo appeared in a flash of golden light and bowed to Lucy. “Is it time for punishment, princess?”

“Virgo…” Lucy hung her head at the greeting. She could feel the eyes of the Captain, Gajeel, and even Levy on her right now. “I need you to dig a tunnel into that building over there.” She pointed towards Love & Lucky. “We need to get in without alerting the Dark Mages that have taken hostages inside.”

“Of course, princess.” Virgo gave Lucy a small smile before shooting straight down into the ground with her Earth Magic.

It was only about a minute later that Virgo’s head popped up out of the same hole. “Princess, I believe I’ve made a secure passage for you to enter the building.”

“Thank you, Virgo!” Lucy smiled at her friend.

“Is that my punishment?” Virgo tilted her head to the side.

Lucy deadpanned at the masochistic tendencies of Virgo. “I’m praising you…”

-Love & Lucky ~ Interior-

“I don’t get it! It’s a merchant guild, right?! I thought they’d have more money!” One Naked Mummy member looked at the stacks of cash they’d piled up on one of the tables in the merchant guild.

The guy beside him looked over at the leader of the group. “I told you from the start that we should’ve knocked over a bank!”

“Shut up!” The man with the shotgun pointed at the complainer. He looked very much like a monkey, if said monkey was shaved bald. “We’re outta time! Just shove the money into the bags and lets go!” He looked over at another member, this man dressed in a leather jacket and jeans. “Are you ready yet?!”

“Just a little longer.” The Dark Mage slowly pulled his hands apart, a ring of Magic between them that was opaque white and widening slowly.

The hostages whimpered in fear, wondering what Maic was being worked and what would happen to them once it was ready.

BANG

The monkey-like man fired his shotgun into the ceiling, making all of the hostages flinch. “Shut up, or you’re gonna be dead!”

A young boy, having been in the merchant guild with his father that day, began to cry in terror.

“Huh? You wanna die?” The Naked Mummy leader demanded angrily. The boy only sobbed harder. “You do wanna die, you little shit!” He aimed the shotgun at the boy, making the other tied up hostages try to scramble away in terror. The boy’s father, having been right beside him, threw himself on top of his son, prepared to be a meat shield if it would keep his child safe. “We don’t have time for this shit!”

BANG

The shotgun was fired.

But and odd sound followed the gunfire…like the pellets had hit metal instead of flesh.

“That wasn’t nice.” Gajeel sneered at the monkey-like man, easily having tanked the shotgun blast with his iron-like body.

“Who the hell is that?!” One Naked Mummy member questioned.

“How’d anyone get in?!” A second Dark Mage questioned.

“That’s far enough!” Lucy yelled out as she had three Golden Keys in her hand.

“A girl?!”

“Two girls and a guy!”

“Shit! They’re from a Legal Guild!” One of the Naked Mummy members had spotted the Guild Mark on Gajeel’s shoulder.

“Solid Script: Wall!” Levy wrote the word into the air and then poured her magic into it. The word became a large, solid obstruction separating the hostages from the rest of the building.

“Open! Gate of the Bull: Taurus!” Lucy activated the first Golden Key. “Open! Gate of the Crab: Cancer!” The second key flashed with golden light. “Open! Gate of the Lion: Leo!” The third Golden Key shone with brilliance.

“Moo!” Taurus bellowed as he appeared with his huge axe in hand.

“Been a while, ebi.” Cancer greeted Lucy, while mentioning the how long it had been since she’d used him in battle.

“I’m here to protect you, Lucy!” Loke, dressed in a sharp black suit with a matching tie and dress shoes, appeared with a smile.

All three Celestial Spirits felt the extra Magic Power that had been put into their summoning, granting them more of their power to use for the upcoming fight.

“Take them down!” The leader ordered as he rushed towards the Dark Mage in the leather jacket. “Hurry the fuck up!”

The Naked Mummy members rushed the three Fairy Tail Mages and the three Celestial Spirits, hoping that their numbers would give them the advantage.

“You guys are a joke.” Gajeel looked bored as he lashed out with his left leg and kicked one man in the side, nearly folding him in half. The force of the kick sent him crashing into two more of his buddies, and then all three cracked the wall as they slammed into it at speed.

BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG

The Naked Mummy members with guns opened fire, trying to overwhelm the Legal Mages.

“You’ll not harm Lucy’s udders!” taurus spun his axe and deflected the bullets with ease.

“Must you?!” Lucy yelled at the pervy bovine Spirit.

“You guys are kinda slow. Ebi.” Cancer blitzed past the gunmen and all of them could only stare in shock as their guns fell to pieces in their hands, having been cleanly sliced through by Cancer’s scissors. Then they all saw their hair fall from their heads, leaving them just as bald as their boss.

“My hair!”

“What the fuck?!”

“Argh!”

The movement of the men caused the injuries they didn’t even realize they had to open up, Cancer having cut all of them multiple times, shredding their clothing and leaving lacerations behind. The gunmen collapsed in a spray of blood, wailing in pain and out of the fight.

“Shadow Bolt!” A Naked Mummy member cast a spell, throwing a lance of darkness at Loke.

“Bad match up.” Loke grinned as golden light poured off of him in a radiant aura that dispersed the much weaker Darkness Magic. “My turn!” He was in the Dark Mage’s guard in an instant and drilled him in the mouth with a fist shining with Light Magic. The man flipped over and slammed onto his stomach rather than his back from the force. “Next!” Loke was having a good time as two other Dark Mages tried to run. That only got them a powerful Light Magic sphere slamming into their backs and sending them flying into a wall where they collapsed unconscious.

“It’s done!” The Dark Mage in the leather jacket exclaimed with a panicked smile. The Magic that had been between his hands was complete, and revealed itself to be a portal with a different location clearly visible on the other side.

“Spatial Magic?!” Lucy instantly knew what she was seeing, even though she’d never seen Spatial Magic before. It was like an instinct. She nearly blurred over to the man and the monkey-like leader of the Naked Mummy group.

Chomp

“EH?!” The Spatial Magic user cried out in absolute shock.

“What the fuck are you doing?!” The leader demanded, equal parts angry and terrified.

Lucy had bitten the portal and was now sucking up the Spatial Magic like it was some kind of noodle! The last of the opaque white Magic vanished into Lucy’s mouth and she chewed it for a second before swallowing. “Egh… Your Magic is so bland…almost tasteless.” The Celestial Dragon Slayer nearly stuck out her tongue. It was like soup without any salt in it…just a weak and unsatisfying flavor.

“Solid Script: Sleep!” Levy had taken the Spatial Magic user by surprise as she wrote the word directly onto his back.

“Uhhh…” The Dark Mage’s eyes drooped before he collapsed to the floor, complete unconscious.

“Damn you!” The leader raised his shotgun.

Crunch

Only for the barrel to be bitten off by Gajeel’s fangs.

“What the…?” The monkey-like man’s question was cut off as Gajeel slugged him in the face, sending him bouncing across the wooden floor.

“That’s all of them.” Gajeel mentioned, chewing on the metal from the shotgun.

All total, the infiltration and fight had only taken just about a minute.

“Yes!” Levy and Lucy smiled at each other.

“They weren’t much.” Taurus nudged one of the Dark Mages that he’d taken out. It had only taken a single swing of his axe.

“You three did great!” Lucy beamed at her Celestial Spirit friends.

Loke smiled and put his arm over Lucy’s shoulder. “I’ll always give 110% for you, Lucy!”

“Down, Casanova.” Lucy playfully rolled her eyes and tapped Loke with his Key, sending him back through his Gate.

“See you soon, ebi.” Cancer waved to Lucy as he vanished in golden moted of light.

Taurus gave Lucy a thumbs up, while clearly eyeing her chest, before vanishing in the same golden light.

Levy went to remove her ‘wall’ now that the danger had ended.

Gajeel shackled up all of the Naked Mummy members with his iron. Leaving them in manacles attached to both wrists and ankles and connected by strong chains. None of the Dark Mages would be going anywhere.

Lucy opened the front door of the Love & Lucky Guild to let the soldiers know that the situation had been handled.

The soldiers quickly advanced on the merchant guild and secured the hostages, returning them safely to their worried families outside. Once the hostages were safe, the soldiers began to round up the shackled Dark Mages, though this was made a little difficult, given that more than a few of them were unconscious…some even had broken bones and would need to be carted out on stretchers.

“Thank you very much, Mages of Fairy Tail!” The Captain bowed to the Gajeel, Levy, and Lucy. “Thanks to you, this situation was resolved without casualties. The people of Akarifa can’t thank you enough.”

As the Captain began to go over their financial reward for handling the Naked Mummy incident, half a dozen carriages rolled up the street at high speed, each bearing the emblem of the Rune Knights. The Rune Knights were quickly on the ground and rushing to secure the Dark Mages. Multiple spells were used to secure the beaten Naked Mummy members even further and to prevent any escape by Magical means.

The head of the Rune Knight Squad came over to the Captain to get an update on the situation for his own report. He briefly looked over to the three Fairy tail Mages before giving them a short bow of thanks for their prompt response to the emergency. “I’m afraid I’ll have to keep you all for a bit longer.” He apologized as one of his subordinates brought over some paper and supplies to get statements recorded from everyone. “I’m required to follow protocol.” The Squad Leader bowed his head once more.

Minutes later and the Squad Leader’s voice rose again after talking to Lucy for her report on the incident.

“Spatial Magic?!” The Squad Leader nearly gaped at the rare Magic that was being used by a Dark Guild like Naked Mummy. “Squire Leona!” A female Rune Knight turned and saluted the Squad Leader from where she was watching over the captured Dark Mages. “Double Seal the man in the leather jacket’s Magic! He’s not to be let out of sight!”

“Yes, sir!” Squire Leona acknowledged before moving over to the Spatial Magic user and beginning a second Sealing Spell on him.

“Thank you for alerting us to his Magic.” The Squad Leader thanked Lucy, knowing how bad it would be if any of the Naked Mummy members managed to escape because they weren’t vigilant enough.

“No problem.” Lucy smiled politely. “It seemed to take him a long time to use it though.”

“Probably a beginner then.” The Squad Leader guessed as he wrote down Lucy’s observation. “Still, we’ll need to figure out where he learned such a rare Magic.”

Just under an hour later and Lucy, Levy, and Gajeel were able to leave. They had received 300,000 Jewel as their reward from the Captain for their protection of the citizens of the Kingdom of Fiore. The older man would’ve given them more, but that amount was all the squadron he led had authority over.

“Still, we got to help people and we made some good money.” Lucy smiled as the three of them were flown back to Fairy Tail on Happy’s back.

“I’m just glad we were able to save the hostages.” Levy agreed as she looked back towards Akarifa.

Gajeel remained silent, just relaxing behind Levy, though ready to grab her if she showed any signs of falling off of Happy’s back.

-Naked Mummy Guild ~ Evening-

“They’re late, Big Brother Zatô.” Gatô spoke, looking at the time.

He was a massive man with slim arms and legs, and much like other members of his guild, his face resembled that of a monkey, with very prominent ears. He had very long, fluffy, albeit, spiky hair, with it being styled into a long spike, with darkened ends. His Guild Mark was located on his flat, large nose. He wore a poncho-like cape which had diamond-shaped motifs on the edges and had large shoulder pads, which both had the word “Salsa” on them for some reason. Countering his odd upper wear, he wore simple striped pants and plain shoes.

Zatô grimaced as he glanced at the clock too. He was still lightly bandaged form the beating he’d taken from Laxus Dreyar, and his mood was only slightly improved over time. “Something must’ve gone wrong, Big Brother Gatô.”

“They’re late, Big Brother Zatô.” Gatô repeated himself, seemingly unaware that he’d done so.

“You’re repeating yourself as always, Big Brother Gatô.” Zatô chuckled out.

A few of the members once more wondered how they could both be ‘Big Brother’ at the same time.

“It’s almost time to pay the tribute to Oración Seis, Big Brother Zatô.” Gatô looked at the other monkey-like man. “There ain’t no Dark Guild that can stand up to Oración Seis.”

“I know! And they went and started making us all pay them tributes too.” Zatô grumbled at the need for cash. “Just what are they up to, I wonder?” A Dark Guild like Oración Seis didn’t need others to get something as simple as money for them. The new tributes that they required from all of the Dark Guilds under them hinted that something big was about to go down.

Neither of the two leaders of the small-time Naked Mummy Guild could’ve predicted how big of an incident Oración Seis was about to cause.

Juvia has moved into the Dragon’s Den!

All of the Warm and Fluffy!

Our adorable Rain Woman finally gets all of the love that she deserves!

(Without having to wait the entire fucking Series for it, while being treated like a nuisance the entire time.)

Mirajane wins Miss Fairy Tail!

When she doesn’t handicap herself, that’s to be expect though, right?

*Giggles while remembering the Sexy Succubus Form*

Gildarts gives Laxus some advice and a few locations that he can check out on his journey throughout the wide world. Maybe Laxus will find some understanding and a path for his own future at one of them? Maybe not. That’s just how the path of self-discovery goes.

The incident with Naked Mummy at Love & Lucky still happens (since it has no reason not to) but this time Lucy is chosen by Makarov to be part of the team to handle it along with Levy and Gajeel!

The trio make quick work of the scrubs and Lucy tastes Spatial Magic for the first time! Too bad it was from a mook that only barely knew how to do it! So bland and tasteless! Kek!

We see the beginnings of the next Arc! How will the Oración Seis Arc go?

Keep reading to find out!

Until I get your reviews, later!

Great chapter do you know when is Juvia’s ritual? Is it before or after meeting Wendy? Also I know that they have the hot springs but when you expand the house perhaps you can make a swimming pool for her and the other girls the springs is mostly used for bathing after all

Kairomaru

You'll see when the time comes! Don't you worry! House expansion will come in time too!

Middlemoe2

Juvia getting the love she deserves is always the best, also I can see her being the first mom of the group, maybe after the time skip. And it's also great to have Lucy being able to actual do something useful. Can't wait to see if she dives into a bunch of stuff for Special/Celestial magic. And Levy/Gajeel fluff is always welcome!

Kairomaru

Juvia gets all of the snuggles and cuddles! Little Dragons will come in time! So many little bundles of joy! The Dragon's Den will be filled with the pitter patter of little feet! Lucy is only going to get better and more fun as we go along! I'm doing my best to make Levy and Gajeel adorable in my story! Glad that you like it!

Lutze2110

Awwwww so fluffy~~~~ But Juvia deserves only the best ^_^ As far as I know Juvia and your writing Style, our Rain girl will probably jump Natsu the second her instincts Tell her too hehe To be honest, I don't care too much about Laxus, even though he is a badass sometimes, meh, good for him to go on some soul searching lel I've forgotten what exactly the Situation with Lucy's dad is in this story, but it would have been funny to See him getting shredded (Not literally) by Lucy's new Family (^^) Fight was awesome

Kairomaru

All of the Warm and Fuzzies!!! Laxus has his own soul-searching to do, so we won't see him for a while. Lucy told her father to fuck off and not to interfere with her life.

Lutze2110

Ahhh when she returned Home right? (BTW, currently re-reading some of your Stories, good Shit) But shouldnt Jude be broke right now?

Kairomaru

Nope, I've changed things around. Jude can't sell off the Heartfilia Estate because he MARRIED into the family. The Estate technically belongs to Lucy as the last Heartfilia. So, he has the house and lands, and isn't broke because he didn't get the Railroads bought out from under him, partially because as they're named 'Heartfilia Railroads' it gives Lucy some control over them, enough to prevent a buyout at the very least. Layla wasn't no fool, she made sure that she and Jude were equal partners in the venture and with both Jude and Lucy's 'shares' they control majority. Amazing what happens with just a few small tweaks to the story, huh?

Kz3838

Thank you for the great chapter, very curious to see how you handle the Oración Seis arc. Keep up the good work!

Kairomaru

You're welcome! I'm glad you liked it! The next Arc is going to be different thanks to the changes that have already been made, that's for sure! I'll keep doing my best!

Mason Talbert

Question: I’m new to this membership (Not Patreon itself) so my memory maybe a little rusty on this story - I believe a couple of chapters ago the girls were talking about a limit to the family, so what I’m asking is does that mean that Juvia will be the last girl to join the family or will there just be a few more girls joining? Because if there are more girls coming into the family would you be open to suggestions of who to join the family?

Kairomaru

I have the last girl...maybe two girls...already planned out. There's not going to be any more beyond them.

Kairomaru

One may be a surprise, but the other has been figured out because of changes I made in the earliest chapters of this story.
