Chapter 17 – Reunion, Lullaby

Lucy watched on as the silhouette heading towards the Guild Hall got clearer. The rest of the Guild got more and more frantic to clean up any evidence of rambunctiousness as the woman approached. Lucy noticed that the large object that Erza was carrying, with only one arm, was actually a massive horn! It was decorated, appearing to have been made into a trophy. The horn was banded on the bottom with what looked like gold. Blue gems, or possibly colored glass, made a ring around the entire circumference of the horn above the gold band. Another gold band, this time inlaid with what could be either emeralds or green-colored glass, encircled the horn above the blue ring of potential gems. It was nice, for a giant monster’s horn.

Erza set the horn onto the floor with a thud that could be felt. Now that she was in the Guild Hall, Lucy was able to get a good look at Erza in-person, for the first time. She was a young woman with long, gorgeous scarlet hair and deep brown eyes. She had a slender, voluptuous figure that Lucy could only describe as incredible with a large bust, thin waist, flaring hips, toned thighs, and long legs. Erza’s attire was armor with the Heart Kreuz brand logo on it. Lucy was sure that had to be custom-made. As far as she was aware Heart Kreuz didn’t make armor! Mira winked at her playfully as she watched Erza’s eyes search the Guild Hall for the barest of seconds. The armored Mage near instantly found who she was looking for.

“Natsu, I’ve returned.” Erza walked towards her Mate with a soft, warm smile full of love. Lucy blinked when Erza’s armor glowed before disappearing. The redhead was now wearing a white, button-up blouse with a blue ribbon, tied into a simple bow, under the collar of the blouse. Her Guild Mark became visible as well, a red that matched her hair, on her upper left arm. Her bust was even clearer to Lucy now and she was fairly certain the redhead was easily matching her own blessings.

“Welcome back, Erza.” Natsu returned her loving smile with one of his own. The two embraced, Erza’s arms winding around the back of Natsu’s neck, while Natsu’s wrapped around her waist and pulled her closer. Lucy couldn’t help the smile that formed on her face when Natsu and Erza shared a kiss right there in the middle of the Guild Hall. Just like with Lisanna, Cana, and Mira, you could easily see and feel the love the two had for each other.

When the two separated from their lip lock, Erza rested her head on Natsu’s shoulder. Natsu hugged her tighter as he felt her breathe in his scent against his neck. The disciplinarian of Fairy Tail would return, but only once Erza had her fill of her Mate and her family.

“Does this happen every time?” Lucy wondered aloud as she watched the four-way hug.

“Yes, any time one of us goes out on a longer Quest, we always celebrate when we all reunite again.” Mira answered Lucy’s question as she moved over to the group and joined the hug. When Mira nuzzled Erza’s beautiful, scarlet hair the Earth Dragon Slayer looked up and the two smiled at each other.

“Oh…” Lucy clapped her hands over her burning cheeks as she watched Erza and Mira kiss. “Natsu and Erza are going to be busy reuniting for a good while.” Cana gave Lucy a provocative wink, making the blonde’s face burn so much there appeared to be a steam cloud over her head.

“You’ll know when it starts getting intimate, trust me~” Mira placed her arm around Lucy’s shoulders, teasing the Celestial Spirit Mage by licking her lips.

“What should we do about the horn?” Lisanna asked, and Lucy could hug the sweet girl for giving her a reprieve from the teasing. “I’m not sure it’ll fit in Erza’s trophy room.”

‘That’s the third time since I got here that idiot has yelled for more.’ Gray thought to himself with a grimace. The guy was a Mage and was sitting with three others that gave off the feeling of having far more Magic than any civilian would have.

Gray was heading back to Magnolia after completing a simple Beast Capturing Quest. Well, it was simple for a Mage like him and his Ice Make Magic. The beast in question was a large species of wild boar. The villagers that had posted the Quest couldn’t capture it in normal traps and it was tearing up their fields and had even destroyed a few buildings. For Forty-Five-Thousand Jewel, Gray was more than willing to encase the giant pig in an Ice Prison.

“Hey, relax a little.” Another of the Mages stated, this one wearing a striped-headdress.

“How can I relax?” The first one, large and wearing a brownish-red coat, demanded of his companion. “We finally figure out where Lullaby is hidden, but we can’t do anything because of some seal?”

“Keep it down, man.” The rotund man wearing a dark-red jacket next to the loud Mage hushed him.

“Don’t sweat it you guys, just let me handle this one.” A black-haired man, with his hair in a pineapple style and wearing a long white coat spoke up. “You all just head back to the Guild.”

“You sure, Kage?” The green-haired, rotund man questioned.

“You gonna be okay on your own?” The headdress-wearing man asked.

“You don’t have to worry about me.” The man stood up with a grin. “Just tell Erigor that I’ll be coming back with Lullaby in three days.”

‘Lullaby? Seal? I thought I was getting bad vibes from those guys.’ Gray narrowed his eyes from his seat at the bar. ‘Where have I heard the name Erigor before? I know I heard it somewhere, it wasn’t good either.’ Gray watched as the pineapple-haired man left the pub. When he got back to Fairy Tail tomorrow he’d bring both Erigor and Lullaby up with Master Makarov. The old man would definitely know something about them.

The other three Mages downed the last of their drinks and headed out not long after. Gray relaxed a bit now that they were gone. His food was placed in front of him and his drink refilled too. With a ‘thank you’ to the barkeep he dug into his meal.

Gray didn’t know that the Guild Master Conference was being held at the moment. So he couldn’t have known that Master Makarov was already heading for Clover Town to attend. The old Master was happy for the chance to meet with old friends and live it up for a few days. It wasn’t often he could get a break after all. His brats were far too rambunctious for that! Sure they’d also be discussing the recent state of affairs too, but the evenings were spent drinking and telling stories, sharing laughter among the older generation!

Even the esteemed Master Makarov couldn’t have predicted that some of the most powerful Mages in his Guild would soon be on the move against a Dark Guild. Nor would he ever assume that said Dark Guild would be foolish enough to unseal a Magic they knew next to nothing about! The dangers inherent in that were numerous and ill-advised to say the least. For the first time in many years, one of the terrors of the most horrible Dark Mage in History would be unleashed!
