I’m pretty sure everyone watching this show for the first time knew Bakugo would win against Uraraka, but the unexpected thing is how damn hard she made him work for it. You’re not the only one who gained more respect for her after this match- remember how I told you about Bakugo and his use of nicknames (usually derogatory or at least not flattering)- when the match was starting, he called her “pink cheeks,” but after her big move (right before she passed out), he called her Uraraka. And after he rejoined the rest of the class in the stands and one of them said something about not going all out against a frail girl, he said “I wouldn’t call that girl frail”- pretty much a compliment from him.
