I watched episode 6-1 after this one and, at the end of that, discovered we lost the great Helen McCrory after this episode, so this was her curtain call for the series.  Not her best episode, that probably came in Season 2, but what little she was given to do here was awesome as always. What a great actor.

Losing Helen was an absolute travesty. I'm a bit glad that you didn't know she passed. I knew going into the 6th season, so her character's death must have hit differently.

I don't know if it was good or bad. Unfortunately, I wasted a lot of time during the reaction speculating on what could have happened ... did the actor fall out with the producers, was it the schedule ... and I was annoyed because the story is weaker without her in season 6 since the main conflict is with Michael v Thomas and having his mother in the middle of that makes for a great story. And then we get to the end of the episode and I see the end credit to her, realized what happened, and felt like a real asshole. I'm thinking about doing two edits, the long one with all this crap included for Google Drive and a shorter one omitting all this crap for here as an embedded video.
