Additional Subscription Services

PixivFANBOX & SubscribeStar services are now available, allowing you to support me on whatever platform you choose. You may stay on Patreon, if so desired, as long as they do not ban me.

Rewards will cost an additional dollar on those services, however, due to higher fees. I'm sorry.

The Dropbox Archive will be shared across all three platforms, but will feature password protection. The password should be hidden behind a simple question, like "who is Elayne's annoying fairy?" I don't like this, but... Y'know... the powers that be. I am a little scared of risking it.

These platforms will start being active in January.

Content Guidelines

SubscribeStar and PixivFANBOX will feature content that can not be posted directly to Patreon. This is because Patreon has updated its policy and it is too risky to post any of it here. I was also forced to remove Patreon links connecting to and from my social media outlets.

If I create anything that I think will be safe here, I'll share it. Otherwise, you'll have to find that art on my social media, other subscription services, or another location that would otherwise contain all of my artwork.

Note: PixivFANBOX requires genitals be censored. Keep that in mind if you choose to move there.

Discord Server

I advise you to join the private Discord Server to keep up with my work and recent events. It will be a good way to stay connected with the community at large, especially since many of you may end up moving to these different platforms - with environments that may feel lonelier.

Dungeon Masters MUST join Discord in order to keep making requests. If you are opposed to this, let me know. If we truly must keep you here, we can consider doing so, but your request can NOT violate the platform's guidelines.

Apologies

I'm sorry if any of this disrupts your routine. They are not decisions I wanted to make, but they were pushed onto me by the platform's update policy - and I need to reshape my experience around that. My entire livelihood is at risk, so I need to rely less on Patreon in case they try to screw me.

Spreading myself across multiple platforms will be a source of great stress, especially when each platform has its own unique quirks. Therefore, simplifying is a necessity right now.

Explaining Changes

A few changes have been made to the Patreon experience; all of which were outlined above. Many of the decisions were made because they won't translate well to the other platforms and I really do not need the additional stress of managing that. But also because some things just don't seem to be pulling their weight lately - and we change things every year to accommodate that.

Due to the inherent stress from this entire experience, I don't think it's a good idea to give myself MORE work to worry about. Therefore, I think it makes sense to shift my creative mindset towards...

Quality over Quantity.

We can reflect on these changes in a few months, and if the plan sucks, we can just change it.

Quality over Quality Focus

As for why I'm making this particular change now... Well, there are a few reasons:

  • I need more breathing room to push myself and try new things as an artist.
  • I need to take better care of my health. I got sick twice in the last few weeks alone.
  • I haven't seen a lot of growth lately, so perhaps I need to try doing things differently.
  • Social media is changing and the value of art has changed with it.

Sketch Collections - Reduced Sketches

I'm going to spread myself thin across multiple platforms and take on a bunch of work to ensure I don't end up homeless. My work will benefit from having this extra breathing room. You will still get the Dungeon Master sketches, however, as long as they don't violate any guidelines.

I hope to revive the Patreon Blog so that you'll see a preview of everything that has been drawn (and added to the Dropbox Archive) on a regular basis. So you'll still get those previews to all that art. It's a bit like a weekly newsletter - though I don't know if it'll be strictly on a weekly basis.

This is how I used to handle rewards, with a visual example of how that once looked in 2021.

Early Access - Added Focus

I hope to create more interesting & sexually appealing artwork - and comics too - which take a lot more time to plan for. Slowing down will give me more time to think about what I'm creating, so that it's not always so quick, random, and spontaneous.

It's hard to say just how many uploads I'll have every month - it might not be as much as usual, but I hope it will be more satisfying to consume. I've been making "fast food" for a while and it's tiring.

As I create bigger illustrations, I'll do my best to share works-in-progress to all patrons.

Monthly Concept Art - Less Frequent

Although I must still create concept art, most patrons simply aren't interested (based on the latest poll results). It appears most of you are pledged to that tier for the Dropbox Archive specifically. So it makes little sense to stress about that reward every month, and it's kinda sucked for a while too.

If I have any concept art worth sharing, I will share it. But expect it to be at a slower rate. But maybe that means they can be as good as they used to be - check the backlog if you haven't before.

End

There's still a bit of time before any changes go into effect, so you have time to provide feedback if you have suggestions or thoughts you'd like me to consider to ensure the experience is as good as it can be. These plans are set to begin in January (2024), as per usual with our big changes.

Don't forget to eat & sleep.

disposablewords

It sucks that you're having to go through all this. I hope there's some actual payoff rather than just fighting to tread water, even if I can't see exactly how that might come to pass. Bleh. Just... good luck. I enjoy your art a lot, for not just the sexy stuff but in general.

Shawn Heatherly

I understand and completely sympathize with the changes. I will stress that I adore the concept art, for what that's worth.
