The Hyrule Fantasy (Patreon)

This is the final illustration in the Breath of the Wild Daily Art Project. That's 31 works of art! Super hard work, but I guess it's an accomplishment to feel at least somewhat proud of.

This work was one of the pieces intended since the very beginning, though the original title for this was "Overlooking Hyrule Field" The final name is a callback to the original Legend of Zelda game though, which is pretty cool - i hope people notice and appreciate it. The composition also references a classic illustration  from the Legend of Zelda -- one which I've only ever referenced once  before.

A lot of these works were pretty rough, but after the first week of work, I came to realize that I could not realistically provide fully finished/rendered illustrations every day until release, so I had to dial it back and focus on getting the work done as opposed to making it all amazing. It all turned out decently enough, however. I got to revisit some older unfinished sketches that got to see the light of day, and I got to draw some new stuff I wouldn't have otherwise.
