[Concept] Dragon Breast (Patreon)

I’ve been busy over the course of the previous week, so I thank you for your patience.

Every now and then, I mention an idea called Dragon Breast, and more recently, that I’ve gotten a writer to help with some stories for that concept. We’ve had a few doodles, but what exactly IS Dragon Breast?

Prologue

That’s beginning to look something like a magical girl story, isn’t it? A magical girl disguised as a fantasy RPG adventure with boobs! Yeah, haha… As you can imagine, the general tone of this work should be silly & playful. 

I might still allow myself to do some seriously bad ends in my free time though. 

As I said earlier… I plan to work with another writer, so it’d be great if they were able to work on this comfortably without me shoving darker themes in. Since my Elayne Beaumont work will often be dark & upsetting, it’ll serve as a good palette cleanser too.

The Hero

The hero’s design features a lot of soft, round shapes to communicate the kind of character she is. She should be immediately endearing! She had to be cute because our enjoyment is supposed to come from her embarrassment. It’s a little silly, but she is being put into a compromising situation, after all.

The shape of her hair is a little like the brellomascot but is left to run free without any structure, almost dwarfing the size of her head. She also feels a bit like a fusion of the heroes from DQ1, DQ3, and DQ4. Mostly a coincidence, but still cool!

The premise is simple, and obviously inspired by classic role-playing games like Final Fantasy & Dragon Quest. Our hero must journey across the world to defeat an evil villain, but is cursed to wear the bikini armor, and finds herself in sexy misadventure after another.

Initially, the idea was that she was bound to wear the bikini armor and it couldn’t be removed, but that meant we couldn’t see any naked boobies! Changes had to be made for the deepest of plot reasons.

The hero is given two options: wear the embarrassing bikini armor or wear absolutely nothing at all. Given the choice, of course she’s going to choose the bikini, but she’s certainly not happy about it! The armor will actively destroy anything put on top of it, preventing her from covering up.

Instead of preventing the hero from removing her entire outfit, only the collar will be stuck on her. This means we can still have her naked for sexy fun or bad ends. Since the collar is built in the shape of a dragon, it easily communicates that she is held captive by the Curse of the Dragon Breast.

The Dragon

While our Hero is designed with round shapes to suggest a soft, vulnerable character, the Dragon makes a much more threatening impression due to the use of sharper, triangular shapes. These are simple traits that can immediately change our perception of a character. 

This dichotomy serves to create an interest contrast between the two characters. That said, they’re both on the same team, so there’s an interesting sense of duality present too. The hero is embarrassed by her situation, while the Dragon is much more perverted and assertive. 

Perhaps the hero will grow to be strong like the dragon. I wonder what that might someday look like.

Rated R for Pirates

Although these pirates aren’t exactly major players in this world, they are featured in the first story that has been written. This story’s rough draft has been written, but still needs a bit of tweaking. This orc girl actually appeared in one of the sketches shared above, though she’s much larger in that sketch. 

I’m still not sold on any of these designs yet, so I plan to continue work on them.

This idea still needs a bit more work before I’m ready to start work on a comic, but I'm glad to finally start talking about my ideas for it. It's clearly inspired, but there's opportunity to do my own thing. I’m particularly fond of the hero’s backstory, that feels kinda unique.
