Unlike the last few major illustrations, I made a greater effort to create a piece that looked a bit more organic in nature. There are all these contrasting angles in the arms, flowing cloth, and hair too. But this organic quality is also present in the brushwork too. There's much less cleanliness and less airbrushing throughout the piece, and if you look closely, you can see a lot more brush strokes too.

Rather than establishing all of the major elements and simply painting on top of that, I only got as far as getting a loose idea of all those elements before jumping straight into painting. So I was effectively "creating" a lot of the piece during that phase of the process. That's why there is so much more rawness, and I prevented myself from spending too long to clean up every little thing.

That said, it feels like it could've been refined a tiny bit more. But it's probably good enough.
