I'm still on my mini-vacation thing, but my friend, Psu, asked for some help on the latest page for Cassiopeia Quinn (a webcomic I help out with). Read it HERE.

Psu wanted something that felt somewhat like an old Legend of Zelda illustration, and I used some of Katsuya Terada's old Zelda work as inspiration -- primarily with colour expression. There are these rich transitions of colour in his work, and it feels so otherworldly at times. Perhaps I should reference his work more often?

Anyway, don't forget to eat & sleep.

It's a feeling I'd like to play with more in the future. It takes a bit longer than my light watercolour approach though, especially if I want that wider range of colours.
