I do thank those of you who upgrade to the "Legendary Sannin Elite Viewer Class Tier" It does have the same offerings as the Hokage tier, we are just ramping up doing movies bi-weekly consistently and adjusting the budget higher for the editing team. One relocated from Argentina to Australia.  Nice to see him move to a better area, also comes with a higher budget on my end AND THATS OKAY.  We have a good team.  Thank You.

Want to throw it out there that My Dress Up Darlin season 2 was announced last fall. The way these things go, it'll probably air around the same time as season 2 of Dangers. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2022-09-17/my-dress-up-darling-tv-anime-gets-sequel/.189828

I thought they were going to animate the sex scene Kidding 😂

Lee, this it not a spoiler. You can read it 🙃 Why Ichikawa became the way he is, is fully shown in this episode, thus I can finally talk about it. He has been a genius kid who is getting prizes and awards for his intellectual achievements. He even talks about getting National Awards. However not able to get accepted into a Private School where intellectuals matters took a big hit on his confidence. Thus he closed up to other people and became who he is now. That’s also the reason why he can’t give himself confidence to fully woo Yamada even though he knows in his heart she likes him. He is afraid for the confidence damage he’s got with that entrance exam to the Private School again. That’s why this episode is so important for Yamada to break that barrier. Him saying those Murder Books are his “Armors” and Yamada hugging him, making him drop those books is a representation of her breaking his “armors”. And with him hugging her back, means that he accepted her into his life. He is not showing her his “armor” anymore. And next season is going to be peaker than this season.

I’m looking forward to My Dress Up Darling to see my waifu Marin again 🥰

If you're looking for a new romance/school/slice of life anime, i can recommend 'The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses' which is coming out early july.

Getting both of these in the same anime season would be insane.

I think I heard that the reason my dress up darling doesn't have a season 2 announcement yet is because there wouldn't be enough source material for one atm So we might still get one at some point

Season 2 is confirmed by My anime list for jan 2024 And yeah the media is the most influential things for the youth in India we has serials which are basically 30min tv shows which telecast new ep every mon-friday(sometime to sat) and I grew up when internet was not much available in India in early 2000's and the serial mainly show Indian culture mostly lady(has to be a daughter in law) protagonist who solve family problems miraculously so when I first introduced to anime and wester show in 2005 I was surprised with hand holding kissing even sex scene show so openly whereas in serials the mc 99% times are married but not a single good romance scenes take places

No they have for ex Danger in my heart adapt about 60 ch in S1 and the manga is on 123 so just enough for s2 When dress up darling S1 was there it's adaptated about 30 ch and manga was on 50's and now it's 80's they have just about 3 season worth but yet no announcement

Dress Up Darling Season 2 was announced in September of last year

How would you compare this to other recent popular romcoms like Nagatoro and Dress Up Darling?

Yaboyrocklee

only because you ask...but I like both of those shows more because their Peak moments are more memorable for me. Nagatoro's antics..."that aside" lol. and I think Senpai is more Manly...which is hilarious to think about it ha ha...but i generally like him more. That being said i got 2 seasons out of him but i still like him more. Also nagatoro's friends added a lot to the story too so it has better support characters in my opinion... My dress up darling also had more peak moments and because Gojo is depicted as a man despite being in high school (TO ME) and Marin coming of a bit more mature...It was enjoyable fan service for me even though people may come attack me for it. but whatever..they drew mature characters and i liked it. That being said...as you hear in the finale. I appreciate the story of The Dangers in my heart but i prefer fan service i can enjoy AND/or a superior overall supoor character group like Nagatoro has..Cuz i didn't need her fan service..the overall antics of the show carried for me. wow long one...but thats my answer

MWS

I disagree on the Senpai being more manly part, i think Ichikawa telling the jock guy to screw off was more manly than anything senpai did because Senpai spends half of the episode gassing himself up to say 1 sentence where Kou 90% of the time just says it eg when he tells the jock "I just don't want to give u it, no other reason"

Personally I lean more towards what Director was saying about wanting a confession however, the fact we know a second season is coming makes the fact that we didnt get and overt confession way more bearable? I dont know if thats the right word but I cant think of another way to say it without it sounding like I disliked the ep or was annoyed. The lack of a confession wouldve left me unfulfilled if this is where the anime ended, still wouldve enjoyed it but also wouldve been just a little disappointed. The confirmed second season really lets you appreciate this ep for what it is, imo.

Yaboyrocklee

that's cool. I wouldn't debate it, just sharing with Iomeza bit of what I think. and what i think is strictly a person opinion, most of it is subjective

Daisuke_Takahiro

I'm late on this reaction cause i had no internet for like a week which was brutal for sure, but it is exciting to see that we have second season in Winter 2024! I would almost put this up next to the wholesomeness of Tonikaku Kawaii. The main characters are just as awkward at times, but its just that they are married so there is no hiding their affection for each other.😄

that whole post episode discussion about western media/tv, Thats actually the reason I watch more anime than I do any western tv for the last few years.. I just got burnt out with all the rewashing of basic monster/villain of the week or mix mash of cop drama type stories. the whole discussion of how western tv portrays relationship development is also one of the reasons. I really just got tired of the constant rewashing and repetitive nature of portrayed relationships being so toxic. eastern tv shows and anime have been far more enjoyable to watch for a good while now. even if I don't quite understand the subtext for a lot of it due to cultural differences, its still more satisfying.

John Ng

When you think about someone who needs to build up courage to man up versus one who already is able to square off with another without too much effort, I think the one who needs to build up a lot courage is more manly in the same situation. So for Nagatoro's Naoto senpai, he is always a wimp. He needs a lot of building up to talk back to those guys at Nagatoro's table and the scene at the zoo. In this case, I see him as more manly than Ichikawa during those 2 scenes. In other situations though, Ichikawa is more manly.
