The Mirror scene did a couple things, It tied several points of information that I was not tying together without the visual...

The body is an adult woman (19)....with the mind of a child...who struggles with how to identify him/herself. Mix that with the graphic Minority Hunter forcing himself...and it was hard to watch.


Ironically, that was the intro discussion...the show has many threads that are aware of but doesn't necessarily always put together....

The messed up part is that they REALLY toned down the last scene in the anime compared to the manga

This episode made me sick. Real disturbing and i've seen Berserk lol. Had me thinking bout dropping it but ima thug it out.

My take is that Haruki held up Robin almost like idol worship. But there's some stuff shown earlier that implies that Robin was probably a creep from the get-go. Haruki/Kiruko's own "delusion" if you will. A lot of ppl had a problem with this scene in the manga but IMO I thought it was fitting and within the theme of the show. It was supposed to be horrible. I wouldn't say it was gratuitous and unnecessary like some others and what I've seen in other anime or tv shows. To some of your other comments, I wouldn't expect someone just watching one time to get a lot of the stuff that's in here. Having read the manga and watching each ep a couple of times, HD does have a lot of re-watch value. The author does a great job of show a lot of little nuggets all over the place without a ton of real exposition. I really appreciate that this is...sophisticated...content that's for adults using animation as the medium.

Wow they tonned down it but still not alter it completely(I hoped they do that with Aot ending as well) but anyway this was way more bad in manga

I just realized that it makes sense that the Hiruko(man eater) that gives of delusions is in the parking lot. The girl in the black sunglasses was fond of Mimi Hime, so it would make sense for them to be together. They couldn't prevent the kid's transformation so Shiro (bowl cut dude) tried to save Mimi Hime. Also, I can't remeber but maybe the black haired girl that taught Maru the touch is the girl with that they were with when coming outside for the first time.

its pretty horrible, I think I have a pretty strong stomach and I just caught up with the manga so i knew this was coming and it is still REALLY, REALLY hard to watch. I would say skip this one if you are not sure

When Mimihime has visions you can see Maru and Haruki's shadows standing over her, also you see the computer and the blue sky, so you are seeing the last moments of her life play out but it is pretty hard to catch on the first watch

Yeah Lee this show is INSANELY good at showing you clues/answers but not TELLING you straight up, and since so much of it is very subtle so it kind of always feels like we are missing something (even if we are not)
