to be an entertainer you need to be egotistical and sometimes a bit narcissistic, so i'm not even surprised by that. regarding the blind reaction comments most of them come from a place of emotion seeing something they like being misinterpreted, so i sorta get it since i was one of them (flashback to nagatoro ep 1... you can watch goblin slayer but not this), after the fact i understood that i was being retarded, because getting "criticized" for an opinion doesn't help when trying to make someone enjoy something the way people talk on the internet is always bolder not braver, simply because there is no risk of a physical altercation, only stupid people will risk getting sent to the hospital for an opinion. EDIT: I made it to the end

Sorry in advance for the essay, but I swear it isn't about a character! ๐Ÿ˜… A friend of mine tried to get me to get a Tumblr and then told me that you know that your somebody on there when you get anonymous hate. ๐Ÿ˜ถ I've been on Twitter and IG and seen the pain that not just celebs, but anyone with a little fame goes throuhg including myself and all I am is a writer, but man people can get nasty if they get an opening for sure and with all the apology vids that people make, I can just imagine the hate comments there. Even if I don't agree with a person, like Logan Paul for example, I am not spewing negative words on anyone cause just cause I can't see their faces, I am not inhuman enough to not realize that I would be causing pain. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ To bring it home a bit, I have seen the hate not just in Patron comment and Youtube ones, but also in channels and chats and yeah banning is a thing, but it is hard to ban the words once you guys have read them I am sure and even if you harden your heart, it can still cause little twinges especially when you are trying your best to give us great content and great reactions to it. ๐Ÿ˜ฃ I know this is going to sound like fangirling to some or ass kissing, but I genuinely look forward to your reactions with Director and/or Adorkable for animes that I have watched before or ones for the new season, but I tend to stay out of channels cause I have been attacked before for my anime choices and opinions, but I don't hold that against any of you guys at all! You can't be policing shit all the time and I get that, you have the real world jobs just like I do and this one is the one you hope one day to make count just as much. Still that is not going to stop me from enjoying the content, but it will always make me think before I say anything with my keyboard. ๐Ÿ˜ Whoops! And I forgot i made it to the end! ๐Ÿ˜…

it really annoys me when commenters hash out at reactors just because the reactors didnt show what the commenters wanted, when it shouldn't be that way, it should be oh thats a interesting take on what the reactors say and do. not go hard and attempt to correct and be toxic to the reactor just because they didn't agree to commenters otherwise it'll just be boring as hell if the reactor agreed to commenters and have a cookie cutter emotion and reaction. i came for what the reactors truly think and feel and the jokes and what not. when i see what they truly think and feel, it makes me feel i'm the room chilling with the reactor truly having fun

i do agree with you but most people wont go looking at reactions to see a different opinion, they simply want to see someone else experience what they did, when that doesn't happen sparks fly. people that watch reactions are doing a third-party egosurfing, instead of looking at what people say about them they are searching for people that like what they like.

Darkcarkiller666

true, thats unfortunately the real world. precisely why i avoid youtube comment section completely cause knowing who i am i'd prob waste my life away defending the content creators lol. so its easier to just watch then come here and comment cause it's not as bad here on patreon but its bad enough. though it seems can have rational conversations rather arguements with other patreon commentors sometimes

Torfif

I enjoy watching your reactions cause of the discussions you all have about the episode & where you think it may go. Even when your guesses about where it's going is wrong(because i have knowledge you did not), i still find it entertaining. & i made it to the end.

Klaas

Not me thinking it was about Aqua from Konosuba. lol. I did make it to the end

Yaboyrocklee

all valid point...especially the Narcism ha ha. i guess thats the part that i battle the most so to speak when i'm dealing with criticism...i'm narcissistic lol..how can i be wrong? lmao

Was an excellent video. Oshi no Ko is such a thought provoking anime. Love hearing about the inside of the industry.

Made it near the end

This was a great video Lee, loved the insight that you have which further enhances the realness of the actual depictions and issues faced in the entertainment industry. Being here for a good while now, I have seen the Villian, The Calm, e.t.c all the arcs of YBRL and its good to hear you are in a good mental state, since it shows through reactions :). Ps. Made it till the end

Yaboyrocklee

Thatโ€™s hilarious to read. The Villain, The Calm. Lol. all my arcs. I match my favorite characters. Vegeta, Endeavor, Seto Kaiba, Byakuya ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Had to go sleep and circle back to this Essay hahahah. Thanks for sharing your experience. What kind of things do you write?

I made it to the end despite not having any context in terms of the show you're referring to, and I read all the comments too. I think a person that just watches reactions for the show's runtime and actually gets angry when someone has the wrong emotion, or thought, or theory - they have an unhealthy addiction and need to reflect on their life. I like your discussions(rants), because I think you communicate your feelings well and have a very big brain. You're also handsome and strong. This is only 10% sarcasm. Lee, Horanghae!

No problem and thank for asking about my writing! I write mostly fan fiction, been doing it for 10 years this February, but I love to find manga, animes, and the occasional hentai and embellish them beyond what the mangaka did. I've made a 45 min hentai into 55 chapters and over 250,000 words! ๐Ÿง

"I think a person that just watches reactions for the show's runtime and actually gets angry (...) they have an unhealthy addiction" i couldn't disagree more, how come having strong emotions regarding something be an "unhealthy addiction", let me put it this way if someone talked shit about a loved one or a prized piece you own and you acted angry would you consider it an unhealthy addiction? you might say that it is different since one is fiction while the other is IRL but there isn't a difference on what it means to someone, let me give you another example, if someone crashed into your car and you saw they didn't give a shit about it because of it you got angry, would you have an unhealthy addiction? if that person was apologetic you most likely wouldn't get mad, let me guess it is different because you spent money on the car well i have been spending 11โ‚ฌ monthly on YBRL for quite some time is my anger now justified? Being angry at a reaction is as normal as breathing

I refer to the person who seeks the correct feeling and line of thought, they don't see it in a reaction and lose control of their emotions. Write personal attacks. They are unhealthy because they have no interest in the reaction content, the feelings and ideas of others, just the echo of what they feel and the dopamine. I can get angry at a Korean reaction if the creator is racist. Other than that, if they just don't like a character or haven't seen the development that would make them warm up to a character, so what? That is no reason for anger. The valuable content of a reaction is different interpretations from differing perspectives.
