The adoption agency employee asked the mom if she was from North Korea when sbe said she had to go to the "correctional labor camp" - which is what prison is in North Korea - the mom then corrected herself and said "prison" Also, if y'all want to know more about North/South Korea relations, one of my favorite kdramas is "Crash Landing on You" - it's one of the most watched dramas and it's similar to a mix between Vincenzo/Attorney Woo, where it has serious plot points/action, while being character-emotion-driven! It's known for being one of the most accurate depictions of daily North Korean life as well - I learned so much from the show!

I don't mind it or the long intro n music talk, you cracked me up every time But fr this was hard to rewatch I knew it to be a very sad episode, in particular woo's comment "If I were a whale maybe my mom wouldn't abandoned me" I understood her fascination with whales it's because they are intelligent, protective and loyal to their young. That broke me the first time around and this time I still teared up. Excellent reaction from you guys as always!

Whereas a regular citizen that is established, has family, connections, maybe a house & education, marketable skills, they'd be less likely to go committing crimes because why would they need to? They got what they need. They're not gonna risk that to go mugging for the thrill of it.
