That doesn’t really make sense though, I mean some dogs are deaf but short and sweet names for dogs are because they simply learn them better/faster, not because of a hearing problem Yor hearing “Constances” as “cause of death” works perfectly fine

Well, he had already swerved to avoid Yor, so she gave the car a kick in the side to send the swerve out of control so he hit a lamppost. Considering what we’ve seen Yor do (jump straight up to a high ceiling, punch straight through a pumpkin with her fingers, throw a ball hard enough to knock down trees, it’s within believable anime power range for her.

Fun fact: tatsuya endo confirmed that in terms of physical strength Yor is 100 and Loid is 80. and he implied that Loid is a better fighter because Yor is mostly self taught which to me is him saying the fight would be EXTREMELY close if it happened

I mean I just don't see how Loid could even come close to beating Yor. He has shown to be extremely skilled at hand to hand combat and a great fighter. But the shit Yor does is downright superhuman. Loid is a jack of all trades while Yor's sole skillset is straight combat.

It was translating a joke so I’d just say a different take on it rather then mistranslations. Jokes in particular are very vague in how you translate them for many reasons.

Normally I'd agree but in this case the entire joke though is about deaf and death rhyming and Yor's tendency to think of work when she hears something that rhymes with some aspect of it.
