I’m doing a written recap for house of dragons. ….lol. I am gonna be flipping positions but I promise it’s because the content hits different alone slowly reading through scenes and letting the content marinate. This Otto is a snake. In HOT D there is no right or wrong character. Like you guys said everyone is dirt. Otto reminds me of little finger but daemon is also a crazy and reminds me of Joffrey, if Joffrey knew how to fight.

Daemon is just a grey character in the vein of Jaimie pretty much. A non spoiler quote: Over the centuries, House Targaryen has produced both great men and monsters. Prince Daemon was both. To be fair, Viserys was not weak, he was medicore. A weak King was like Tommen who didnt know wtf was going on (ofc he was still a child). Viserys was a good man but a medicore King because of his good heart. He doesnt have the aggression that is sometimes required of a King. He would be fine if it was a peaceful time but we got Daemon out here stirring shit up.

Dameon may not be a "good" ruler/ person but i feel he knows what matters to him. Man just wants to feel included

nah he like littlefinger. pretending to be on anybody's side but rly be scheming to further his own agenda. He also had a similar background, being a 2nd son that inherits nothing and must seize power for himself. Tywin was born with the power, the family and the wealth to lead.

Otto is high born just like Tywin, he’s a hightower. They rule oldtown and are one of the most powerful families of the reach. Tywin also married off cercei to gain political power. Little finger’s family was quite insignificant and HE’S the one who had to climb a certain ladder
