Guys do you think I should drop everything and pursue my Dream of becoming a Japanese Voice Actor. 😭😭😭. All jokes aside. Hold me accountable. I gotta do 10 minutes a day 5 days a week. Lol. I’m gonna learn this and take this language thing very seriously. A brotha that can speak Japanese well in the anime community is instant credibility. (Side note. My wife is with me. Lol. I truly hear something completely different 😭😭😭. But i got this part down tonight minus Douzo Yoroshiku … pleased to meet you

Honestly i think you'd pick it up eventually if you just keep watching subbed anime. I think i can speak conversational japanese now just watching anime, some documentaries, I also had some dictionaries but I never used them that much. What will help tho is someone who can speak Japanese fluently that you can talk with. Hello Talk is like a social media for people who wants to converse with real Japanese people. You can try it, if there are japanese people near you, you can even meetup. Also the good thing with learning japanese is that you will barely need to look at the subs anymore when watching anime.

When we do reactions. I don’t hear well with volume low unless someone yells or speaks slow. Ever notice i lean in on some scenes, so i can hear better lol.

It's great that your trying to learn a new language. I doubt that you need a perfect understanding of the language in order to do voice acting, as long as you can just sound it out. Supposedly, Jackie Chan did the Rush Hour movies without knowing English; just by having someone on the side to show him how to sound everything out.

I mean your "teme!" is pretty epic. I see why not. lol

It's cute that you think you can just quit. But no, you sold your soul to us and you're never getting it back! Should've read the fine print before signing. 🔥🔥🔥

Lee, do it if you really feel like you need to tackle this challenge. I am always in support of people taking on a challenge, this is the only way to grow. If it doesn't work out, you take the knowledge with you, which will help you with your current career. Even if you are not sure, try it. You can't know for sure without trying. I personally never regreted to try learning a new language, even if it did not work out in the end, because I suck at learning new languages, not my strength. I am an introvert, but I also pushed a lot towards staging a talk on a topic, I am good in infront of a crowd, and I got rewarded for it. Not bebcause I was good at it, but just because I said "fuck it, let's do this". This happened several times in my career and it always brought only benefits to my development and growth. There was also the time, where our team had problems progressing our current project, so our project manager got fed up. He got the whole team together, stated the problem and said "I am not going to solve that, it is up to you, so go ahead". After a minute, that felt like an eternity I simply said "fuck it, let's do it" stepped forward and took leadership of that whole thing, for just this specific problem. That was actually the first time people genuinely where in awe. My direct boss instantly gave me an "outstanding" rating in the area of "pushing myself to improve", and I kept this rating almost every year since then, unless there was a year, where I did not challenge myself on that level. Today, I am still afraid of speaking infront of a crowd, or taking over leadership, but I feel far more accomplishment in diving into those unknowns again and again from time to time.
