For the most part I think the anime is WAY better than the LN, but there's 3 things here: 1: When it comes to Filo and Rapthalia (and now Rishia) the book made it very clear that they were slaves in name only. In the books, he gets an list of options to check what his slaves can and can't do. Once he and Rapthalia build a rapport, he tries to unlclick all the options, but one option HAS to be on. He chooses for all of his slaves "Not to be able to harm him" because the rest of the options are things that could impede their free will. 2: Because of an ability he unlocks after he gets Filo, any slaves under him gain an Exponentially huge boost to stats when they level up. It's why Risha becomes a slave in the first place (the book actually has Naofumi suggest it to Rishia instead of Rapthalia. He DOES make it clear that she doesn't have to do it, but he kinda talks her into it there so I'm glad with how the show handled it). 3: I hate that they omitted the best scene in the books. When Naofumi originally meets Rishia and she tells him that she was betrayed, he goes OFF on Bow Hero. They straight up fight and Naofumi effortlessly blocks all his moves, gets right in his face and THREATENS him about how he treated her. I absolutely loved it and was sad it never happened in the show

i dont know what they're trying to do with the green haired but after what naofumi and raphtalia go through in season 1, her feeling anxiety because shes 'too weak', is just kinda annoying. shes also level 68?! I mean look at her introduction. shes talking about being selfconcious beside a kid who was mercilessly whipped every day for like months and months by a sadistic baron.

Really dislike the green haired girl, she was annoying in season 1 already. I usually can accept those kind of characters, but there is something just so annoying how she behaves in the story. I really hope her character growth will change my opinion on her...even "Slut" is more entertaining to see =)

I think she's worse in the LN. At least for the first two or three books she's in, she's always ten times worse than the show. Granted, we've only seen her now for an episode and a half, but we'll see how it goes. Also, wouldn't YOU be upset if you were almost 2/3s of the way done leveling and were still weak as all hell?

Honestly she was WAY more bearable here than in the books. Now I never have gotten that far in the books (only got to 7 then stopped reading. And there's 23 books right now, maybe 24)

Well by becoming Naofumi's slave, she now undergoes his slave thing effect, whereas she will now gain MASSIVE stat bonuses when she levels up. The books talk about it way more, whereas the show only briefly mentions it once in season 1

Oh ho ho, you have no idea... Neither do I. Haven't read much of the LNs. The anime is definitely WAY better than the show. Naofumi is way more likable too

I really hope she isn't in the main front of the story too long cause holy shit one episode of her and I already want to stop even tho I love the shield hero anime.

Lemar sound salty af. I think their is a big difference between this green haired bitch and the other shitty characters. Something specific is frustrating about this green hair bitch compared to the others. She is intolerable and the fact that she sticks around the main cast of characters means she is a center focus compared to Bitch/Slut who would come and go and play an important role in progressing Naofumi. The other 3 heroes go for the same except in different circumstances and fashions.

I kind of agree with you. I saw the comments and thought this was going to be wild but she's like a simp as they said here. I do find her a bit annoying but I'm sure she changes later on.

I understand that but almost everyone is overreacting. Its like their first time seeing an annoying character. Rishia is like candy level of annoying. The only time Im super annoyed with the character that I dropped the show was fullmetal panic (the main heroine).

I think Rishia is more annoying in the anime, personally. Mostly just due to her voice actor... It's been awhile since I read the LNs - I stopped reading about halfway through volume 17 due to time constraints, haven't gone back yet to finish the series - and I remember her being a bit irritating at times, but it definitely changes. Can't remember what volume it was, exactly, but based on how quickly S2 is already moving (they've already skipped over like, a full volume I think) I'll bet we see her progression during this season. Won't say much about it, because that would involve massive spoilers, but basically, Rishia DOES get more confident, she DOES get stronger, and her frequency in using "ehhhh~!" goes down as her confidence increases. Rishia grows a backbone, essentially, and her character definitely becomes SOOOO much more likeable after that happens. So go easy on her for now; the girl's got lots of potential. ;) Also, the anime skipped over Rishia resetting her level so she can build from the ground up. Naofumi looks at her stats, is essentially appalled by how extremely horrible they are (I think it was like, Rishia at lvl70+ had stats equivalent to Raphtalia at lvl20, or something like that), and that's when he talks with Rishia about (1) resetting her level and (2) becoming his slave, both of which would allow her to start from scratch while also getting the major boost to her stat increases due to Naofumi's "slave user shield", which we see him get back in S1 when Raphtalia has her slave crest put back on. So that's another big plot point that the anime ignored. Rishia is going into this Spirit Tortoise arc starting at a really low level (she did have time to train a bit, but still).
