Nobody has it worse than Kumoko when it comes to isekai beginnings, but this was pretty harsh in a way. Also, Tsukuyomi (Moon God)'s a famous figure in Japanese mythology on the same rank as Amaterasu (Sun Goddess) and Susanowo (Sea God). You'll see these pop up in many mangas like Naruto.

Don't judge book by it's cover...but from ep 1 alone it proudly takes the top 1 spot on "the worst shit I've seen this year" list...There are 3 ways of having OP MC: 1. "The plot heavy way" = the hardest to do right, basicly what Overlord did 2. "The comedy way" = just make it into comedy lol, basicly Cautious Hero 3. "The wrong way" = everything else From ep1 alone, world/plot litteraly dont exist, so that is out of the window, comedy...meby a bad one, or just not my type of comedy...I hope it will get good but I don't think it will :(

Then you may have missed numerous plot points. I guess due to the sped up nature of the anime right now. But the fact being. 1. This world is still in danger the whole reason he was summoned was to protect it but then was thrown to the side as the goddess found someone else. 2. The fact that his parents were from the world.. Maybe family might still be there? 3. The building of his town

I won't say this series is a master piece of story telling but it does dip it's hands into the story, comedy and world building aspect.

Don't think it's a trap all you have to do is look at bleach with Yoruichi I think everyone thought that she was going to be a guy when she was talking in her cat form but hey if that's a trap I'll be happy to fall for it

Yoruichi 1st appeared as a little black cat ( with a man's voice) and then when Ichigo got hurt she revealed herself as the gorgeous woman that she is when he asked how did she carry him to that cave
