King Uma is life

Gold Experience Requiem is one of the most poetic scenes in JoJo's with how it's set up imo. Giorno's speech right after perfectly encapsulates the theme of the part and the duality of GIorno and the boss. The boss spent his whole life afraid of his past and running from it using his stand to manipulate fate to his own will. He never had to face any hardship to get to where he was using King Crimson. Meanwhile, Giorno spent the whole part letting go his past, finding his own truth and destiny, and persevering through every hardship that fate had thrown at him. Diavolo ran from his fate where as Giorno faced his fate head on. That's why the arrow and fate chose Giorno to wield it's power. Giorno proved himself worthy throughout part 5. Diavolo thought he was the one chosen by fate but all he did was run from it instead of embracing it like Giorno. The arrow then grants Giorno the one thing he needs most in that moment the power to punish Diavolo for perverting fate. Diavolo can erase the cause leaving only the effect so Giorno gains the exact counter to that. The power to complete prevent the cause from ever happening meaning there will never be anything for King Crimson to skip when it activates. Giorno gained the true power to control fate and reality all because he faced his destiny head on his whole life. Which hits differently when you realize it's Araki working through his depression while writing this part and that this is probably the philosophy he had at that time. That through the pain and suffering there is still meaning to be found if you keep persevering and living righteously like the gang.
