2021-08-21 15:12:40 I think that point about the Gremory, Sitri, and Phenex houses being the only ones left of the 72 Pillars (or Keys as its translated) is an anime only detail. I think the original story in the novel said that rather than 3 there's actually 32 families left. Those 3 families are just 3 among those 32 that remain.

thats true but also the ppl behind seasons 1-3 of the anime removed alot of details that were in the novel and rearranged the story alot. And they dont actually fix that issue until season 4 when they switched animation studios so there's definitely gonna be holes here and there in the details up until then
