Tanya's one big problem and a plot hole i would say is that she never finishes her enemies off for all she preaches lol. these guys keep coming back for some reason and its weird

Man, I would understand Tanya's resistance to Being X if it was a moralistic one. This is just straight pride. If she had an issue with Being X being evil or something, then I'd understand her not buckling.

2023-01-05 22:52:34 The regulation that keeps Sere as Tanya's assistant instead of the others was touched on briefly earlier on; her assistant has to be a female and Sere was the only female that had served with her already. I love how this show touches on the true evil of WWI & WWII in that so many people did things they knew to be evil under the excuse of "just following orders" and this episode showcased that aspect of it beautifully. The fact that it makes so many people uncomfortable is evidence of how well written it is.

My thoughts on the horses versus skis and other options is that the Republic, like France was stuck in older military traditions during ww2 (calvary for the French like Republic), while the other areas use things that are related to their countries' traditions, they are all more practical than the horses, and then there's the über practical Germans with a single boot, not even two boots
