Dude got isekai'd 100%. There was a post by the manga author that said something like "they're enduring the disappearance of their eldest son somehow or another. The police investigation has no leads, and Kenichi is trying to comfort Naoko but it's not working. They're passing each day tearfully."

Waiting for that season 1 episode 15 like fuckery as this episode was about equal to episode 18.
