I think George thought Zane/Danny wasn't going away. He knew who he was now and he was ADAMANT on getting in the house. So he probably thought he can get it over with by calling the cops and holdinging him til they got there. And for Danny, I think he has an extreme complex and needs someone else to be the villain, but be the hero as well

Might be a cop out, but they're both real pieces of shit and I wouldn't have anything to do with either of them in a real world situation. Earlier on, I'll admit I found Danny similar to a good friend of mine. Someone with the burden of supporting his parents, who let his anger and short-sightedness get the better of him time after time, etc. That made him more sympathetic to me. But over time I saw he was a deeply manipulative and flawed person, nothing like my mate. With Amy, she just reminds me of the worst aspects of one of my sisters, on many levels, so perhaps there was a bias against her from the start? That hurts to even type, I'll admit. I tried to give her a better chance around episode three, but to no avail; she only got more unlikeable with each episode, and the affair with Paul especially sent me. Danny, Amy - they're both honestly suited for each other..

Let’s not act like Danny didn’t get his cousin arrested. Throw away his brothers college applications. Start a fire at the new home for his parents then effectively get his brother to blame himself for said situation. Get his brother involved with the cousins line of work in the first place. While somehow knocking out a generic husband and kidnapped his daughter. DANNY IS WORSE THEN HER. What Amy does is bad but everything she does is capable of being fixed with a civilized conversation. Which she literally does by apologizing to everyone she got involved in this situation. While Danny somehow still manages to manipulate his brother and make the situation 200x worse. I am going to finish he series on my own then watch the reactions. I need to see what happens to make a final judgement. At this point from what I saw and my own experiences I do think Amy started the whole thing. (There was no need for her to be extra in the first episode). However, Danny, as it was pointed it out multiple times keeps escalating everything. Amy isn't a good person in my opinion but Danny is by far worse than she is by so many miles. boy this episode was a roller coaster of emotion. cant say i enjoyed it. really feeling that "this should have been a movie not 10 episodes" right about now. it was ROUGH emotionally not from a production stand point. just really getting ugly. no more fun and games, just the dark shit. i can only hope it gets brighter. not expecting a happy ending but at least some sign that they are on the journey to healing. like if danny would have had a confession moment like amy, this could have been a great finale. both lose the people they love the most and are left to pick up the pieces ALONE. maybe even have an epilogue of them both at burger king at separate tables eating the sandwices, look up and notice each other and then fade to black. i dont see why more people need to be casualties to their war.

Danny planned the heist, and they all know he was associated with the robbers so George has a reason to think he’s dangerous. Even from the viewer’s perspective Danny was only there today to plant evidence to frame Amy for arson, he’s clearly unhinged. As for the Fumi situation, any injury that occurs during a robbery is the robber’s fault whether she fell on her own or not. Making it seem like George’s fault in some roundabout way is wild to me.

Someone gave me grief a few episodes back for saying I empathize with Paul and that Danny is a jerk who deserves whatever happens to him. So yeah the kid totally hopped cars to get at the skittles, thinking that this guy is friends with her dad. And we know she hides her candy addiction from her folks to avoid getting in trouble so it makes sense she hid in the back of the car when she heard the door of her house open. Misogyny is crazyyy. There are so many instances where a woman is more hated than a genuine terrible person simply because they aren't perfect. This Amy vs Danny thing shouldn't even be a debate. Danny is literally a terrible person, to Paul, George, Isaac, his parents etc. Amy fucked up by cheating but when you really think about it, that's probably the only genuinely fucked up thing she did. Danny has lied to everyone, was responsible for his parents losing their motel, put Isaac in jail, attempted to control every aspect of Paul's life and the list goes on. Amy is basically your average suburban housewife, Danny is just pathetic which is why people take his side.

I don't believe this is one of those cases, there are multiple reasons for people to give danny the benefit of the doubt just like amy. Shit they are the 2 main characters of the show that we are following. Personally i'd say amy is looking to be the better person but that's only with the context of the show we have seen so far, and pre this episode i would of said daniel is handling it all better(since imo the steps amy took with her family and husband this episode were some of the best char dev in the series so far). People are gonna flip flop with values, also only looking at the male to female dynamic is ignoring other power dynamics, while amy def has to deal with all the issues of mysogony she also reaps the benefits of the class system and being a privledged wealthy person where as danny is poor. People hate the rich, it isn't new.

Far be it from me to tell people how to feel about the characters, but I think there is another way we can approach this. I think many of us are under the impression that we were given these two characters to play off each other as more or less equals Of course, they aren't equal in status. I mean in how they retaliated at each other. But I think what the show is ultimately trying to say is that we all have our shit. George does not have the luxury of knowing absolutely all the terrible shit that Danny has done. And though he knows him, his connection to Danny is not as intimate as it was with Amy. So it would hurt him like crazy, what Amy did. And while, yes, I agree that Amy's issues are not as severe as Paul's, we are seeing a struggle of hers that has obviously affected her deeply. Yet it has now negatively affected her family. I hate to play the "It's just like life" card with stories, but that's what it comes off to me as. We're seeing the consequences of both of their actions. Some of us do worse than others. However, that doesn't mean that are actions, bad or ugly, don't have a profound affect on the people in our lives.

Idk, Danny didn't start this mess. I get it. Like Sheera said early on, "what happened to the man no being bothered and just letting things go?". Totally valid point of view. However, why is there a double standard on what a person can or can't do based solely on the fact he was born with a penis and testosterone? I'm looking back and thinking "She went ham on the horn, flipped him off with extra flare, basically baited him to chase her, and THEN played chicken with his life! What did he do? He pissed all over her bathroom. WHO could have walked away easier at that point? 🤔 She did wayyy too much with the Instagram thing. She roped Paul into this of her own accord. She, being the one with something to lose, should have been the better person and understood where she played her part in enraging this man in the first place. She can be honest now that she doesn't have any other options, but she still hasn't admitted the truth that she has issues and that those issues are why her life is so fucked up. I know she started to with this episode or last, but it's too late IMO. She actually reminds me a lot of my mom, oddly enough, and I know what my mom went through as a child dealing with most of these issues in her own right (and worse.). I felt for Amy until she slept with Paul, because she seemed to no longer have any remorse for her actions. She honestly never did, if you think about it. Danny is constantly eaten up by his guilt, that's why he never looks happy. She may have pulled the "Ai" effect (Oshi no Ko) and lied everywhere she went, but she never seemed sorry or regretful or anything other than unsatisfied, really. I think they are both GOOD people that made several bad decisions. Decisions that helped them both experience things that will eventually make their marks on their character.... Hopefully positive ones. I don't hate Danny, nor do I find him to be any worse than Amy. He honestly reminds me of B-Rabbit, or Keanu Reeves in Hardball lol 😆

In general people are wayyy more eager to hate on a woman than a man. Even when a man does something significantly worse. It happens all the time e.g. in Breaking Bad some people genuinely believe WW’s Wife is one of the worst characters ever when she’s literally just annoying and that’s it, in AOT there was a point where people had insane hate for Gabi even though there were characters that did way worse and she’s also a literal child.
