elastic does titles for pretty much everything on HBO, so it's kind of odd to attribute any "cinematic title sequence" to game of thrones, pretty much every major show does it now

I think they had joel drop the crowbar in the beginning so they can show him picking up the gun later in the episode showing veteran experience in a apocalypse.

Sarah's death scene is done SO well. Got me tearing up both in this show and in the game cutscene. Love the in between scenes we are getting with more details.

Someone probably said this already since I’m late to the reaction but the fungi was in the food. in the beginning they mention jakarta which is where most of the worlds flour comes from. In the game it said the food was contaminated and that's why everyone got infected. Throughout this episode they don't have pancake mix, they refuse the biscuits, sarah doesn't eat the cookies and they didn't get the cake which in the end saved them.

Great gameplay but story sucks by default considering what happens to Joe and everything after including the ending/final battle. I usually don't have issues with main characters not having unbreakable plot armour and could care less about social politics(which is being used as a meat shield to downplay genuine storytelling criticism) but the way everything unfolds is very poorly written. From what I've seen so far, netflix may be able to make a far better TLOU2 adaptation and undo the lazy storytelling elements in the game, even if it follows the same plot.

Hot take - story was better than gameplay. Had amazing gameplay, but there's a reason the filming of the STORY BASED show started after TLoU2 ;) you can have you opinions, but I think all you have are shallow, vague criticisms.

I both sides have good &amp; bad criticisms &amp; yours isn't really that much better than what some people have been saying here. Giving a story based game a show doesn't mean the story in the sequel was amazing, the 1st was already loved &amp; while I don't like the way some things were done in the sequel, there are still good parts in it. All I ever see is "the story is ass" or "the story is amazing, actually", meanwhile every reasonable criticism I've seen was able to point to specific points beyond the scenes we know &amp; say what could have been done better &amp; why. I'm looking at people like you who act like the story has little to no faults crazy cause it very much has some issues that could've EASILY been fixed &amp; made the story better (while still keeping a lot of the main stuff that happened, I don't think the story needed a complete revamp.)

I didn't enjoy the story of The Last of Us 2, because I wasn't supposed to find joy in the events that took place. It left me feeling empty, I couldn't even feel if it was good or not because we weren't allowed a conclusion. The climax we all wanted to reach. Just because I don't like it doesn't mean I don't feel that it achieved its goal. Which I feel was to make everyone feel unsatisfied and empty. Because thats how the characters were feeling, that even if they'd kill eachother, they wouldn't even get satisfaction out of it. Which I feel is what the whole point was. I don't like the last of us 2, but it left me with a unique feeling any other story hasn't left me with. I'm unhappy, but thats just how the apocalypse goes. It just all turns to shit. And no one's happy.

Not sure, Yall maybe know by now, but they abandoned the spores part for the show. It's a more "classic" way to spread it with biting and these weird tendrils/fungi coming out of their mouth. From what I read, they thought that realisticly, if they would be spore contamination, Human race wouldn't ever survive at all against it :'D
