I definitely initially thought this movie was gonna be bogus the moment I saw trailers on Ads but when I sat down and watched it it turned out to be pretty dang good ngl I did think Dwayne Johnson was a odd choice for this roll but I decided to Roll with it you know? 😅

Ik this show came out like two years ago but isn't hawk man from DC universe literally a human/hawk hybrid from another planet? Lupa and Roshi wondering why he hasn't died from getting his ass beat and laughing saying having his wings pulled doesn't hurt him confuses me. From what I remember he's an alien, its not just a suit he has literal wings or at least he's suppose to so this movie version is weird, like its apart of his body there's hawk man and hawk girl their species are really strong and savage with serious anger issues hawk man is a police officer on his planet and was sent to earth to defend it. The on from Marvel is just a man with winged suit.

I like how the Rock can't do an accent well so they said fuck it, you can just speak normally 😂 Aside from some action scenes, this movie was mediocre as hell. That kid and his mom were the worst parts of the entire movie too

From what I understood about Henry Cavil playing Geralt, he said he would be willing to portray Geralt for as long as he felt they were doing the character justice. The switch to a different actor makes me concerned that the writing staff may be getting too "CW" with the character and plot. (I wasn't a fan of most of the casting choices in the show to begin with tbh. Yennifer especially. The actress does a decent enough job but I just think they could have done better with a woman closer to Henry's age and who has a more refined and sultry air about her than the current actress does.)

I had this book that I read when I was little with like all the major DC universe characters and I still remember Doctor Fate being one of my favorites in the entire book alongside Zatanna and Ion. Edit: The book is DC Comics Ultimate Character Guide for those curious

i dont see why its odd casting, he looks very much like the character and he has a love for the character. this is very much a passion project for him. but yeah its about numbers aka facts and the film did not do well at the box and wb lost money on it. it is officially a bomb. numbers dont lie. the reports are out there. box office mojo and news articles

black adam is a jsa villain; he's from ancient middle east, hawkman is from ancient egypt, i so fall to see the randomness.......and yeah he's rich. he's been alive for 10s of thousands of years, has access to vast knowledge and ancient/rare artifacts to sell.....gotta brush up on that dc encyclopedia bro

atom smasher is like giant man cause he grows and is super strong. antman is like the atom who shrinks (atom came first). you can read the adventures of cyclone and the other jsa legacies in the jsa books of the late 90s, early 2000s and before 2012 when they did the new 52. she is besties with stargirl and lightning, black lightning's youngest daughter, jennifer who is also a member. but beware: she is a red head white girl in the comics so you might not recognize her

i want to know what book lupa read cause i can only think of one where teth adam became old when he reverted to his human form (i think doomsday clock) and he didnt imediately turn to dust, thats death, he was just super old. in generally he stays in his black adam form cause otherwise he is vulnerable and he never wants to be weak. immortal form that cant be hurt and doesnt need sleep vs human form where his enemies can catch him lacking? NOPE! i have seen wizards and such take his power away but he would just be in his slave cloths and thats it, no aging at all which makes more sense. especially in this movie where he was sealed away from the ravishes of time.

there is no underwater prison in dc outside of atlantis which is called the aquarium and has nothing to do with waller. maybe you are thinking of the raft? thats in marvel not dc. the trench are aquaman villains who look like the creature from the black lagoon, its not a name of a prison. waller runs belle reve like we see in young justice

roshi summed it up: the plot wasnt there but it was fun, great action, had fun and i laughed. definitely was too long for a movie of that caliber but that aside not anything to really complain about. but now that we had the boom boom paw black adam film, give me the sophisticated and elevated black adam film. either in a jsa film or a team up movie with superman.

Adrianna and the kid are such horrible characters, especially the kid. I’m glad Adam destroyed the chair in the end and didn’t just end with him sitting in it. Would’ve fucking WILD if they had him use the throne that belonged to the person who enslaved his people, lmao. Also, whoever chose the licensed music for this movie should be fired. Same with the stupid slomo for every Cyclone scene
