For Lupa, you're confusing a Mcguffin for a Checkov's Gun (or Gun on the mantle) a Mcguffin is some convoluted device to drive the plot "Oh to get jack sparrow back from the dead we need to get this compass/puzzle/map that leads to the realm of the afterlife" a gun on the mantle is something that's previously hinted to, and usually comes back in the form of a weapon or something close to. Example; Everything Everywhere All At Once: the device that lets you see another universe is a McGuffin. The butt plug trophys on Jamie Lee Curtis's desk is a Checov's Gun. The device drove the plot forward, the butt plug just made a surprise appearance

You guys should check out the High&Low franchise. Very much some Tokyo Revengers vibes. Its a couple seasons and movies. 1st 2 seasons are High&Low - Story of SWORD or you could watch the recap movie The Road to High&Low. I am confident it would be your style show/movie.

Lemon at the start of the movie telling Tangerine he didn't like wearing kevlar because it gives you a false sense of security. "What if you get shot in the neck?" By movie's end, Lemon - who didn't like his vest - got saved by it, while Tangerine who gladly wore his vest DID get shot in the neck.

Lol the medical science in this movie is so nonsensical. Gonna suffocate an intubated kid with a pillow? Kill him with an air bubble in the IV when you have to inject about 100mL of air to cause a reaction? Congealed blood makes you bleed out of every orifice? Yeah? Fun movie though

more like who wrote this book. and that would be Kōtarō Isaka. maria beetle aka sandra bullock's character, was the name of the japanese language but when they translated it into english they renamed it "bullet train" and there are 3 novels int he series. good stuff. love the movie but there was a LOT of white/american washing going on as these characters were all japanese. no russian mob taking over, was just another japanese guy. and the prince? was actually a guy not a girl. and they didnt go to kyoto as the finale stop, not even close but they had to use a well known name like every american film is in new york or l.a. lol. would love if a japanese studio turned the book into a tv series and adapted it faithful. some good stuff they left out
