It's crazy to think they about to wrap up so many shows. They really pushed themselves hard to make sure they ready for this Fall Lineup that starts in October. Nobody should ever complain about them taking extended breaks if they ever need one

The first Ushio was from when Shinpei found her at the festival, she then went along with Shinpei's loops after that. Since she is physically coming with Shinpei, there would still have to be another Ushio somewhere in those other timelines, but since we are at an earlier point prior to Ushio originally meeting Shinpei, they had to seek out Ushio's position at the point in time they're currently in (where she happened to be in the ocean regenerating from when Haine killed human Ushio and beat up Shadow Ushio), and give her the memories of the other Ushio. Basically think of it as old Ushio riding a timemachine where it would be possible to meet yourself in the past, whereas Shinpei would be the timemachine itself, hence why there is no duplicate of Shinpei.

remember the first time they got t the festival and ushio was there and she punched shide? that ushio was previously in the ocean. then shinpei looped. since that loop they havent been able to get to the day of the festival but now that they finally have they can re encounter ushio. if ushio didnt get kille dby shide and they made it to the festival there would be the ushio who looped with shinpei and the ushio who wouldve been in the ocean at the time

The ushio that shinpei always brought with him like a convenient smartphone is dead, but she copied her memories to the sea shell, which the current ushio, the ushio from the fireworks dooms day scene downloads

The way the time travel works is that it sends your memories(conscience) to your past self. So your past self would just suddenly receive memories from the future. You can only pick a time.
